Overview
Final Fantasy Explorers is an action-RPG based Final Fantasy gamed released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japn on December 18, 2014 and in North America on January 26, 2016. Much like the recent Final Fantasy Dimensions, it is job based, but has a more open world for explorers to fight against classic Final Fantasy monsters and Eidolons.
The main goal of the game is to collect crystals found around the world. Much like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, the game is structured around quests and sub-quests.
Overall, Final Fantasy Explorer received average to postive reviews from critics.
Prologue
The island of Amostra was born from sudden and dramatic movements in the earch. It boasts vast wealth of naturally occuring crystals, which draws explorers from far and wide to gather their bounty. However, the eidolons, entities dedicated to defending the natural world and the crystals themselves stand in the explorers' way, making their gathering efforts a dangerous endeavour. Undettered, one more young explorer arrives on the island to seek their fortune...
