Classes Leveled Up

These descriptions will better help you decide on your next party that may create when you play Final Fantasy I. There is no "wrong" way to combine these classes, however, some party mixes will do better than others. Here is a list of the basic classes after you have leveled up.


Fighter Knight (from Fighter):
Weapons: Sword, Knife, Axe, Staff
Armor: All
Magic: White (lv. 1-4)
Best Weapon: Xcalber
Best Armor: Opal Armor, Dragon Armor
Strong Points: very high HP, exclusive access to many weapons and armor
Weak Points: not strong on White magic ability



Theift Ninja (from Thief): Weapons: Small swords, Knives
Armor: Light armor, Bracelets
Magic: Black (lv. 1-4)
Best Weapon: Katana
Best Armor: Opal Bracelet
Strong Points: medium HP, high agility, high offensive power, best at escaping battles
Weak Points: can't use all armor, not strong on Black Magic ability



Black Belt Master (from Black Belt): Weapons: Nunchucks, fists
Armor: Bracelets
Magic: none
Best Weapon: fists
Best Armor: Opal Bracelet
Strong Points: high HP, high offensive power
Weak Points: no magic





Red Wizard Red Wizard (from Red Mage): Weapons: Swords, Knives, Staves
Armor: Light armor, Bracelets
Magic: White (lv. 1-7), Black (lv. 1-7)
Best Weapon: Sun Sword
Best Armor: Opal Bracelet
Strong Points: well rounded, uses both types of magic and some good armor and weapons
Weak Points:limited magic selection, less offensive/defensive power than pure fighter characters, slow at magic learning



White Wizard White Wizard (from White Mage): Weapons: Hammers
Armor: Bracelets
Magic: White (lv. 1-8)
Best Weapon: Thor's Hammer
Best Armor: Opal Bracelet
Strong Points: White Magic on all levels
Weak Points: Somewhat low offensive and defensive power (but not as low as Black Wizard)




Black Wizard Black Wizard (from Black Mage): Weapons: Knives, Staves
Armor: Bracelets
Magic: Black (lv. 1-8)
Best Weapon: Mage Staff
Best Armor: Opal Bracelet
Strong Points: Black Magic on all levels
Weak Points: lowest in physical stats and HP
