Final Fantasy Unlimited is a anime television series which features original characters unrelated to any other characters in any of Final Fantasy games. The series is based on an adventure Sci-Fi fantasy of heroine named Risa and Kaze whose hometown was destroyed by Kumo (foe). There are approximately 25 complete episodes at about 30 minutes each only released in Japan and ran for a year (2001-2002).

Critics gave mixed reviews for the series, but for the most part the series was given a "good" review. Some say it did not live up to the "Final Fantasy" name, despite not having any characters or other relations to it. One thing many agreed on is that it was better than the Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals anime series. The series stays at a steady 6.5 on IMDB.
