Characters
Dissidia: Final Fantasy has an array of familiar characters from the entire Final Fantasy series. Characters are separated into allegiances of Cosmos and Chaos, including the following:
Warrior of Light
Final Fantasy I
A warrior highly skilled in the art of the sword. He also excels in using his shield both defensively and offensively. In the original title, after rescuing Sarah, the princess of Cornelia, he departed on a journey to save the world from being consumed by darkness.
Firion
Final Fantasy II
A young man skillful in armed combat, including swords, lances, bows, knives, and staves. He has a passionate soul and an unshakable sense of justice. He is from the Kingdom of Fynn, which fell into the hands of the Palamecian Empire.
Onion Knight
Final Fantasy III
A young man skillful in armed combat, including swords, lances, bows, knives, and staves. He has a passionate soul and an unshakable sense of justice. He is from the Kingdom of Fynn, which fell into the hands of the Palamecian Empire.
Cecil
Final Fantasy IV
Cecil relies on his experience as both a dark knight and a paladin, and may freely switch between either during battle. Aerial combat is his forte, combining fast movement and expert swordplay.
Bartz
Final Fantasy V
A courageous young man with a strong sense of justice. Bartz possesses the ability to mimic and combine the powers of Cosmo's warriors in battle.
Terra
Final Fantasy VI
A girl blessed-or-cursed with both the power of espers and incredible magic. Her attacks are generally magical in nature, but she can strike an enemy with both long and short-range blows.
Cloud
Final Fantasy VII
An acerbic young swordsman with glowing eyes. Wielding a blade as large as he is, he deals terribly powerful attacks that send foes flying. Cloud joined the anti-Shinra group AVALANCE to fight for the future of the planet.
Squall
Final Fantasy VIII
A cold, taciturn youth who wields a gunblade- a weapon that is part sword and part gun. he is a master of combos, able to chain together a myriad of attacks with ease.
Zidane
Final Fantasy IX
A sixteen year old thief with great energy and a sharp wii-though all is lost when it comes to women. Lithe and graceful, Zidane excels at midair battling and can run rings around foes in arenas with few footholds.
Tidus
Final Fantasy X
A light-hearted, cheerful youth, he follows his father's footsteps as an ace blitzball player for the Zanarkand Abes. In battle, he is an agile fighter who easily dodges opponents' attacks as he performs his own.
Garland
Final Fantasy I
The wielder of a large sword that can freely transform into various weapons, from destructive axes to twin blades. In the original title, he was the knight that stands between the Warriors of Light and their destiny.
Emperor
Final Fantasy II
TA man who possesses great magic abilities, capable of casting powerful spells. With an iron fist, he will stop at nothing to achieve his objectives.
Cloud of Darkness
Final Fantasy III
An entity that appears when the balance between light and darkness is disturbed, and tries to upl the world into the Void. She hovers like a cloud, and attacks with the tentacles wrapped around her body.
Golbez
Final Fantasy IV
A man possessing immense magical powers. Despite wearing a full suit of armor, he remains quite agile.

Exdeath
Final Fantasy V
A warlock who controls the massive power of the Void, a nothingess that can swallow space in seconds. his movements are slow, but he can use his teleportation ability to instantly close in on his enemies.
Kefka
Final Fantasy VI
An insane sorcerer with a complete lack of scruples. His attacks are generally magic-based, but more chaotic than basic spells. Couopled with his erratic movements, his main skill seems to be to annoy his opponents with his contemptuous manner.
Sephiroth
Final Fantasy VII
A legendary SOLDIER operative who wields an impossibly long blade with great ease. In battle, he combines that reach with incredibly swift swordplay that crushes opponents in the blink of an eye.
Ultimecia
Final Fantasy VIII
A sorceress possessing the power to control time. Her magical strength is immense, and she attacks with magically-animated swords and axes, in addition to wielding traditional spells.
Kuja
Final Fantasy IX
With porcelain skin and long, silver hair, he has an elegant appearance. However, this beauty is strictly external. Kuja is cruel, assertive, narcissistic, and extremely envious of Zidane. He fights using graceful spells that are as much style as substance.
Jecht
Final Fantasy X
Tidus' father, a famous blitzball player from Zanarkand. Burly and rough-spoken, Jecht's style of brawling is straight from the blitzball arena.
