Music
Final Fantasy X-2 was the first Final Fantasy to not have regular series composer Nobuo Uematsu involved, instead it was composed by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi. The music in the game received mixed reviews, some thought it felt just right for the game, while other thought of it as too different and 'shallow'. Obviously many said the music wasn't as good because of the absense of Uematsu, but that is expected. The game released several different soundtracks, including:
- Final Fantasy X-2 Original Soundtrack - The official soundtrack album from of music from Final Fantasy X-2 composed, arranged and produced by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi. The album contains 2 discs with a total of 61 tracks. It was released on March 31, 2003 in Japan by Avex.
- Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission Original Soundtrack - A soundtrack music from Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission composed, arranged and produced by Noriko Matsueda, Takahito Eguchi and Kazuhiro Hara. The album had 10 tracks and was released on July 16, 2003 in Japan by Avex
- Final Fantasy X-2 Piano Collection - A collection of music from the game's soundtrack composed by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi and arranged for the piano. It was released on March 31, 2004 by Avex.
