Overview

Final Fantasy X-2 was Square's first direct sequel (to Final Fantasy X) in the series. It continued the story with main character Yuna as she fights conflight in Spira before it turns to war. It was the first game to have only three playable characters (all females) and featured a new character class system with Dress Spheres. It was also the first of the series to not have any contributions from longtime series composer, Nobuo Uematsu. The game was also the firt to offer multiple endings.

The game received positive reviews and was voted the 32nd best game of all time by Famitsu. Despite its commercial success, many long-time Final Fantasy fans ridiculed the 'light-hearted' feeling and change of 'tone' the game presented - stating the three female characters were childish and annoying.
