Along with the main characters below, many of the main characters throughout the entire series show up as 'Guest Characters' or 'Heroes of the Legend'.
Wol
Wol is a "Blank", one of the young men who washed ashore the strange land of Palamecia without any memory of their past. Through his travels, he learns a great deal about himself as much as the secrets behind the laws and the great prophecy that rule over Palamecia..
Echo
A spirit fabled to haunt the mountains of Palamecia. Legends say that Echoes guide travelers who listen to them toward troves of fantastic treasure. Though traditionally only a disembodied voice, Wol is somehow able to see her in physical form.
Sarah
The crown princess of Palamecia, and the last of her bloodlien. Even while Palamecia is on the brink of doom, her steadfast and gentle dameanor gives her people hope. Her own hope at salvation rests on the appearance of a prophesied hero, the "Warrior of Light".
Garland
A knight whose skills and advice are incontrovertible. Though clad in heavy armor, his demeanor is less than guarded, and he never shies away from stating the brutal truth. He sees somethign in Wol, and offers to guide him on his path to becoming the "Warrior of Light".
Mog
One of the moogles who make Palamecia their home. He feels indebted to Wol after the events of their first meeting, and offers to guide him on his travels. Moogles in Palamecia share a collective memory: All moogles experience everything that each single moogle sees, feels, or learns.
