Overview
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is a direct sequel to the 1991 release, Final Fantasy IV. It was first released in Japan on the FOMA mobile phone market in 2008, but later made it to the United States via WiiWare and the Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection later released for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP).
The game follows Ceodore, the son of Cecil and Rosa, as he adventures through many of the same settings as the original title, along with running into many of the original characters. The gameplay is much the same, however, the player must take in to account the phase of the moon, as it will effect your battle style. Many hardcore Final Fantasy fans loved to see an old school game in the series get a proper sequel. Many think Final Fantasy IV was one of the best in the series, so having a sequel to that classic story was great.

Many years have passed since the end of Final Fantasy IV and the departure of the Lunarian Moon. Damcyan, Eblan and the Village of Mist have been rebuilt, and the world returned to a state of peace.
