Warrior

The warrior jobs is the precursor to many of the advanced jobs, in the meaning that most melee and defensive jobs will use warrior as a sub job. The advantages of the provoke skill and overall stats in defense and offense make the warrior a well balance melee fighter and an excellent sub job for many advanced jobs such as Dark Knight, Paladin, Samurai, and even Monk.

Warriors can and will often play the tank role in the event that a Paladin is not in the party. The Defender skill allows the Warrior to shift is attack points into defense points make them a very effective tank, an advantage the Paladin does not see until level 50. Opposite of the tank position, Berserk increases the attack power by sacrificing defense point giving the melee jobs an added bonus and definite advantages as a sub job. Such advantage are quick to be seen at only level 30 as a sub job.

Life as a Warrior

The warrior as two paths in most cases, a long life career as a melee fighter or short term life till 37 as a sub job for melee and tanks. The choice is up to you. Many might find the warrior enjoyable for its wide skill range being able to all weapons but the Katana and Great Katana types. But the warrior does not completely specialize in on area as so many other jobs do. This might be a concern for some. A warriors best weapon is the Axe, it might seem strange that it is not the sword, but the axe is their best friend. The do not underestimate a sword in the warriors hand.

As a career warrior, going to level 75, the focus should be as a melee fighter rather than a tank. But considering the sometimes rarity of the Paladin or Ninja, do not object to being the tank and come prepared. However, as a career warrior your main concern should be attack, accuracy and strength. A good tank should not lose hate, so evasion and agility need not be a concern. But also remember past level 30 that the thieves will be using Sneak Attack and Trick Attack tactics (SATA) with this in mind you may be called upon to be the opening provoke so that the thief can drop heavy amounts of the enmity on the tank. Do not object, being a warrior you have the HP and enough defense to take a few hits until the tank takes over.

Being a sub job warrior spending money on yourself will be a balance between necessity and luxury. Items that do not help your future career will be a waste of money, while purchasing items that help out your warrior and future career save you time and allow you to be prepared. Remember that a warrior is called on to be a tank at times, especially at the lower levels in the Valkurm Dunes and Qufim Island, even in Yhoator Jungle you may be called to be a tank, so come ready. The time of leveling your warrior will be a decision for yourself of whether you wish to level up to a point and then work on your career job or level warrior to 37 and be complete. Many chose to level to 30 and then start their career, because this will last them until level 60 and it is also the mark that opens the advance job quests. But just remember than when 62 come around you will need to level the warrior again.

Starting out as a new warrior you will be battling in one of three places Ronfaure, Gustaberg or Sarutabaruta and able to fight most of the monsters as your levels come you. The attack and defense of the warrior will allow you to fight decent challenge monsters much easier than other jobs and possibly even match. Eventually as you reach the level about 8-12 you will start needing to more farther away from the safety of the city. North Gustaberg, Konschtat Highlands, La Theine Plateau, and Tahrongi Canyon become places to solo in until you decide to party. The popular leveling area once you reach the level 10-12 is Valkurm where you begin your party life.Until you are about level 19-20 you stay in the Valkurm dunes moving from place to place for different camps. As a warrior you can probably level until 15 if you wish without a party, though by the time leveling slows down where the pros no longer out way the cons.
