Overview

Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is a Final Fantasy spin-off developed by Matrix Software and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. The game received a fairly good reception with many liking the 'old school' SNES style to it - much like playing the classic Final Fantasy games. The development team drew a lot of inspiration from Final Fantasy IV for each of the individual characters, as well as the classic job system from Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy V. A sequel was considered and eventually evolved into the 2012 hit game Bravely Default.
