Yeah, that makes sense. Though when in the academy is it decided a person is a soul reaper? There seems to be tests and exams that they have to pass. That was the little bit that I picked up from Renji and Rukia's little flashback. And is there some sort of transfer or something that gives them said powers of a Soul Reaper or something? It makes sense with Ichigo becoming a Soul Reaper because it was a transfer of power. But new Soul Reapers are not going to be transfered powers, they are going to be made or something like that.

And when they become a Soul Reaper, does the Zanpukto just appear on them when they ascend to the state of Shinigami or something? Sort of like Ichigo becoming a Soul Reaper. One minute they are in their red uniform and then next they are in black with a Zanpukto at their side? Seems a little weird. I would think there is some sort of trial or something they over come to reach the state. I'm just guessing.

Rukia was curious huh? Would they really let a Soul Reaper wander around the real world because they were curious? I would think that she was there on a mission of some time, extended or whatever the case would. I wonder where she picked up her Gigai. Because she had it pretty readily the next day. They just cart them around naturally or something. Or did Urahara help her out with that like everything else.

Well how I under the way hollows work and become stronger a lot of time is by merging together. Like the Menos Grande, it is hundreds of hollows crushed and folded together to become a super hollow if you will. There are certain hollows that seem to have more than base instinct as though they are more in control over their actions than the standard hollow which is pretty much fodder for Soul Reapers. I am guessing that they had more spiritual energy and a strong soul that allow them the unique ability to be stronger and independent.

There is always going to be a ton of weaklings, because most of the population will not be that strong. However, there will be those that are naturally born with talent in that small percentage. And even fewer still that will be even stronger. Having a lot of high level hollows would not really be possible. Since it is harder to reach the level and many of them are killed off before they even get a chance to reach such a level. And then there are captains that would wipe the floor with just about any hollow almost. So if there was a time when there was a dangerous one out there, it would be dead the moment it left the safety of their realm. I imagine that most of the powerful ones remain in hiding knowing that they would easily be ganged up if needed to be destroyed by the Soul Reapers.

I saw this weeks episode, just a filler episode. Covering Don Konichi and his exploits with Karin and company in protecting Karakura Town. Not a lot really happened as fillers are by nature. I can't wait for the story to pick back up in next week's episode. I really want to see Kenpachi and Ichigo fight. And I can't wait to see Ichigo and Renji learn their Bankai, so I can see visually how the process goes about.

Whether you are a Soul Reaper or not is decided at the graduation exam. There are exceptions to this, like if someone shows extreme promise beforehand. No, you have to be able to use your shikai to become a shinigami, so you get your zanputo at a certain point in your training. How you obtain it remains a mystery. I believe its a physical manifestation of your spiritual energy, but I may be wrong.

No, there was an episode where they explain Rukia's mission. It was episode 109. However, I can't quite remember it at this point.

Ah, the fight beween Ichigo and Kenpachi is breathtaking. You'll love it for sure!

Isn't there an entire group of Soul Reapers or someone that have Zanpukto's but are so weak that they do not even know their name. Which means that they would not be able use the Shikai, and I guess that means that they would not have graduated. Where do they fall into things? They still called Soul Reapers or something else.

And it seems like so many of the Soul Reapers do not even use their Shikai. Because if it is a requirement to become a Soul Reaper, why weren't they using it when they are chasing Ichigo and party all over the Seireitei? They might not have been very powerful, but it would have been more useful to them that way than in the un-released form that they were at.

Aside from the hassle of trying to be unique with 100 people, you would think that they would have done something about that if it so important. They make the Shikai seem really special, yet it sounds like every single Soul Reaper can do it. And yet they really only do it for the upper seated members. Fighting the weaker ones, would be pretty pointless. But if they are going to fight, they should be doing it with all of their strength.

And what becomes of Soul Reapers that are slain by other Soul Reapers? They are just re-incarnated or something? It is not the same as the execution right? I don't know if Ichigo has actually killed any Soul Reapers, but if he did, where do they go?

I'm listening to Houki Boshi right now. ^^ Next to Life is like a Boat, it is my favorite song from Bleach.

I was going to say that I've never heard that, but I just opened a document I have on my computer about zanpuktou, and found your answer. Shinigami REQUIRE you to learn your zanpuktou's name to enter the Gotai. If you are too weak to do this, it seems they kick you out of the academy, and your zanputo is given the name Asauchi (shallow hit). All drop-outs zanpukto's are named this, and they appear to be a normal katana. So, basically, it looks as if they send you back to Rukongai to be humiliated on being unable to learn your zanpuktou's name.

For a while, they didn't have the clearance to attack the group with such force. After they got it however, they probably never used it because most lower rank members don't have it mastered. They know their zanpuktou's name, but don't know how to use it quite effectively. So, the higher you're ranked, the more powerful you are and the more likey it is that you can effectively use shikai. To obtain it and to use it effectively are two completely different things. To tie this into real life here for a minute, you can buy a frying pan, but that doesn't mean you can make a decent meal with it.

If a Soul Reaper is killed by a Soul Reaper, it seems that they are re-incarnated just like any other soul that dies. They haven't said anything to infer something else happening, so I'd assume that that is what happens.

How does that song go? I haven't been able to find many of the bleach openings/closings (though I wish I could) so I don't really know many of the names. Is it the second opening?

One of the songs that made want to smash my computer was "Happy People." Has the US had that one yet? It's absolutely infuriating!!! It's very repetitive, makes no sense, and the visuals on it make imposing shinigami like Kenpachi look like kittens!

Houki Boshi is first ending for the second season where they show all of the squads once. But a really easy place to find the opening and endings to watch is youtube. I watch it on there pretty often, but if you want to save them to your computer that is another story. I don't know a place that has them like that. But I have not really looked around for a place. I was pretty satisfied with watching them once or twice a week on youtube.

But the rejected recruits are sent back to the Rukongai huh? Well I guess that makes sense. It still means that they have a Zanpukto and with time that they could learn the name of their Zanpukto. I do not know if will mean anything. Depends if they would reconsider their decision with them learning their Zanpukto's name.

It would seem a little dangerous to be leaving someone, potentially heavily armed in the Rukongai. They did drop out for a reason, not being able to know their Zanpukto's name. But with time that could change and if they mastered it. That would be dangerous. Though they may just notice a Shinigami running rogue in the districts and kill them or allow them to join the 13 squads. Seeing how they do things, I'm more inclinded to think that they would kill them. But that is just the feeling that I get.

But, yeah I understand that they do not have their Shikai mastered. Even still though, it would be more useful than just a regular Zanpukto. Even unmastered, you think you want to try to use the best you have against someone with a massive 6 foot Zanpukto butcher knife. It couldn't do them any worse than fighting with a non-released Zanpukto. Not that stand much of a chance again Ichigo anyway.

I rewatched some of the opener and endings. Do you like any of the music in the later ones? The visuals look better, but seemed a little ruined by the music. At least it was for me.

The only reason they would be forced to drop is if they didn't have the POWER to become a shinigami. That would mean they wouldn't be able to learn the name of their zanpuktou no matter how hard they tried. I see where you're coming from with them being armed and all though. There is an arc where we encounter an Asauchi, and its just stuck in a wall in one of the districts, so they are allowed to keep them. You can still do a lot of damage with a plain katana, but there is a lot of violence anyway, so I suppose it wouldn't matter much.

Well, in some cases it wouln't make much of a difference in power. Going back to the frying pan analogy, if you can't cook, then you'd be just as well off with cooking over an open flame as with using a frying pan. If you don't know what your doing...then the situation won't change. Also, some shikai's are pretty gaudy. So, fighting in close quarters the way they were where the risk of "friendly fire" is high, wouldn't be a very good idea.

My favorite song is "Rolling Star" which is the opening right before the current one. I got quite a kick out of "tonight Tonight Tonight", which is the one in english, but it was more for the interesting karaoke it created, and not so much for the song itself. The current ending (japanese) has its visuals ruined by the song. The song is just very annoying, and the English translation is.....quite....creative....?

I do quite like the current opening (Japanese) AND the visuals that support it. I really feel that the visuals depended on the SONG, and not the other way around. Like Kon singing karaoke and "dancing" in time with the song, as well as when they flash over the shinigami crew and the Espada crew in time to the song. It's all very creative.

I guess I just do not like a lot of songs. The visuals do seem pretty cool though, makes me excited to see what is going to happen next since they are some strange things I see wondering what is going on. I understand most of the images that I see.

The one that had me puzzled, I don't remember which one it was, but I think Ichigo was back in the real world in the opening and there was this new girl. I don't know who she was, but it was really strange. It was like they were introducing a new love interest or main supporting character something. It was really strange. You probably know what I am talking about.

There was the one of the endings for like the fifth season I think where you see the Shinigamis dressed up in school uniforms. It seemed a little strange, seeing as I when they are their Shinigami forms they look older than school age. Some anyway. The captain of squad 10? I think, short white hair, H something, he fits, because he is short and looks like a kid still. But his vice-captain, she, err, looks too mature. Not to mention needs to button up.

But they get away with it I guess. Ichigo swings either way, since he always looking so depressed he seems older than his real age. Not to mention fighting and all of the things that the Shinigami do make them seem older. Though they have also been around for a while, so they've mature greatly while keeping their youthful appearances.

Do they just transport their Gigais around with them into the living world. Or they some thing that they materialize. Because they are real bodies, but there is no mention where they pick them up. Its like, go to the front desk before you leave for you mission to pick up your Gigai. And then carry it around under your arm. And then in the living world they just enter it or something? I mean you have to be a spirit to be in the Soul Society, the Gigai is not excluded right?

I'm pretty sure I know who you're referring to. That maybe a promo theme song to introduce the new Bleach Movie that has already come out in Japan but won't be here until for a very (very) long time. Hopefully you're talking about that girl who has purple hair that has been tied and she resembles Anko (from Naruto) quite a bit.

That maybe the Bleach Sword Frenzy special. I remember that in the ending theme song (my computer soes not have sound anymore) that they slowly showed all of the Shinigami's in real life clothes? Well, Byakuya looked as if he were an aristocrat, noble, and he even had a long hat with a cane. o_O

I know they have this candy called Soul Candy that they use for their Gigai. For say when there is a hollow attack and they are in the real world, all they have to do is eat one of the sould candies and their Shinigmai souls come out of their bodies while a "replacement" soul takes their spot. There have been a few occurances where the souls may act strange and do things on their own.

She looks more like a female Ichigo then Anko....but yes. She's from the movie BLEACH: Memories of Nobody, and her name is Senna. The movie has not been subtitled, and I know nothing further about her.

No, I think Andromeda was talking about the ending that depicts Yumichika, Ikkaku, Hitsuagaya, and Matsumoto in school uniforms. Unfortunately for sanity's sake, this actually happens in the anime. Its for a mission. Hitsuagaya is actually supposed to be in middle school, which works. Matsumoto on the other hand, I really don't know how she pulled it off. She should've stayed home.

The only instance of the soul acting strange is with Kon. It only happens when a mod soul is inserted in the body as they have a life and mind of their own that is deserate for a place.

Yeah, that was the movie opening that I had seen I went to find it again. And it was, even though its a little strange you be showing all of that for a movie. Its like a trailer or something rather than an opener. I don't know, I guess it gets you excited to watch the movie, but it is giving things away.

Though I did show Rukia as a Shinigami and it looked like she used her Shikai. Which turned into a ribbon and a rod or something to that effect. It seemed a little odd, but whatever works. No idea how she fights with it or if it is even intended for fighting.

It is interesting though how Shikai and Bankai take all sorts of different forms and sizes. Ichigo's makes him really fast, while there is one that turns to mist. I don't know if that was Shikai or Bankai, just saw in the ending for season two showed the fourth squad captain's Zanpukto disappearing into a mist. Which I am guessing has some sort of healing properties or does someting. Though Renji's is pretty huge the snakes and everything.

The movie looked interesting. Though I am guessing it takes place well into the anime, since Ichigo has his Bankai already. Not to mention the Shinigami's seem friendly towards him, unlike they are now. It is clear though that a lot happens between now where I am at and where you all are at. Things get complicated.

So is the movie supposed to be about some rogue Shinigami or something or another faction. It seems from what I have picked up from the posts here there are least 4 factions. The Shinigami's, the Hollows, Vizards, and some A-something or other group. No idea the purpose of the last two, I just know you talk about them.

The captain is pretending to be in middle school, huh? Well that makes since. He does seem to fit that age. So many of them seem to be in their teenage years at times. Do we know how old they are, or rather how old their appearance is? Since it is clear that they are not as old as they look.

You don't mind if I join in do you? I'm a bit new to Bleach (3 months) but have seen all 125 of them so far and am anciously waiting for a dub of 126. But yeah I can go in any position it's fine with me.

  12. #462
The Vizards are Shinigami who gain Hollow powers and the Arrancar are Hollows who gain Shinigami powers. Or is it vice-versa?

Anyway, the Shikai and Bankai are quite interesting. Take Ichigo and Renji for example. Ichigo's and Renji's Shikai just change the shape and properties of their blades, I think this is the same for most shinigami. Their Bankai however is where the similarities stop. While Ichigo focuses his power in a small form, increasing his speed and power, Renji uses a massive snake like thing as he does with his Shikai. Strangely, Renji's Bankai name means "Baboo King" or something or other and is actually a snake.

Yeah, it seems to vary from what I have seen of the Bankai. As Byakyuo's Shikai and Bankai are similar, just the Bankai is on a great scale. His sword changing into hundreds of swords and then flower pedals. Though the kid captain, I'll never remember how to spell their names, his gives him water and ice elemental dragon. Something that is a lot different from the other Zanpukto and even the Shikai. The sword doesn't change at all, right?

Though Aizen's Zanpukto casts illusions so you will see anything, but the sword. If I am remember correctly. So that has to make it difficult to fight him.

Do you know what type of weapon or ability's that Rukia's Shikai has? Or have you not seen the movie? I don't know if that is unique to the movie where they show what Rukia can do as a Shinigami or not.

So who's side are the Vizards and Arrancar on? Their own sides or just a different group within the main two groups? And I guess Ichigo is somewhere in the middle since he became a Hollow and Shinigami around the same time. His hollow mask started to appear, but then he got his Shinigami powers and so that over rode things.

Cactrot, of course you can join! I'll put you in FOurth Div, since that's the only open spot at the moment. If you're the RP-y type, go ahead and chack out our RP in the RP section. The story is outlined in the first club post as well as the OOC forum.

As for the movie opening: Japanese anime seem to do that a lot. Naruto recently advertised for its third movie, but only released scenes from the first 10-20 minutes. So, it only spoils part of the movie.

Rukia's also used her shikai in the show. Her zanpukto has a pretty long name, so I can't remember it right now., but it is also ice-element like Hitsugaya's. It is said to be the most "beautiful ice element zanpukto in Soul Society." It seems very powerful, and its comman is "dance" I believe. What we saw her do with it was create a ring of ice around an enemy and engulf him in a piller of ice that shot up pretty high into the sky.

I'm not quite sure of the details of the movie. It takes place RIGHT after the Soul Society arc, and the storyline has something to do with Soul SOciety being mirrored on the sky of the real world. As for the roles of the characters I have no idea. But, there will be no, vizard, bount, or arrancar.

Hitsugaya's apperance seems to be 12-13. Obviously he's supposed to pass for a middle school student, and that's about the age group, so it works. As for his real age, all I know is he's pretty old. Also, his sword alters slightly when entering his shikai. It gets a , oh whats it called, a little blade on a chain in the shape of a cresent moon. Sorry for the lack of vocabualry on that one.

    Jecht, you were correct.

Aizen's illusions also take effect outside of battle. Therefore, anyone who has ever seen the blade sees what HE WANTS THEM TO SEE! A pretty creepy ability in my opinion.

It's rather hard to explain the "sides" of the arrancar and the vizard without spoiling anything for you. I can tell you that the vizard seem to be on a side of their own at the moment, though they are on friendly terms with Ichigo. The arracar is tricky to explain. They have an overlord. It's a character that you've met, and you'll find out about him soon. They reside in Hueco Mundo where they plot against Soul Society, and Karakura Town.

And, yes Ichigo's pretty much in a class of his own.

The name of Rukia's Zanpakuto is "Sode no Shirayuki" The name literally means the Sleeve of White Snow, referring to the Zanpakuto's color. It's pure white ,everything is, even the hilt and guard, you name it.

I should not spoil anything for the movie but I'll just say a little bit of it.
    Spoiler:
Ichigo and Rukia encounter another Shinigami named Senna. She has a zanpakuto that is pretty much Wind element-ed. She seems to take a love interest in Ichigo and she remembers the day she's died. A group of Shinigami kidnap her in order to use a certain mechanism.

That is as far as I'll take with the Movie Spoiler. Aizen quite possibly has one of the most powerful Zanpakuto's or Shikai's in the series. Just by one mere look, you fall in his illusion for a very, very long period of time. You may even think you're fighting Aizen and you strike yourself causing massive damage to yourself, either fatal or not. I forgot its name but the translation is, "Mirror Flower, Water Moon" I think.

Vizards are very easy to explain. Shinigami who have illegaly gained hollow powers wile Arrancar are just vice-versa. They are on good terms with Ichigo, but seem cruel, especially Hiyori. Shinji is just funny. Ichigo has pretty much become one of the strongest "Shinigami" because of special training through Yoruichi and Urahara. Ichigo is technically a "Vizard."

That is pretty cool. I will be very interested in seeing what Rukia can do. She is more about the magic or Kiduo, I guess with having ice element Zanpukto and using a lot of spells. How many spells does she know or level? She seemed to know a few, but without her Shinigami powers in the beginning they were nothing special.

And Hitsuyaga, yeah I remember seeing that chain and blade attached. I forgot about that. Just remember seeing the dragon that he shoots out of the sword. But his Bankai like attaches to him or something like?

So does Rukia have a Bankai that we have seen or heard of? Or does she only have a Shikai right now? Sounds like she has a lot of power. It was clear from the one episode that was a flashback that she had a lot of natural talent with spirit energy.

So the fourth captain, I think I had asked before. What ability is that her Zanpukto has in I guess its the Shikai form? It turns into a mist. That was about all I know from the ending that I saw. So it had me a little curious.

And Ichigo's a Vizard? I guess its because he was a full Shinigami before gain hollow powers? Is that counting Rukia's powers that made him one in the first place? Or is it the moment that his own Shinigami powers awakened? Because he was getting Hollow powers at that point, right? That is where it all started from.

How do Shinigami's normally go about getting Hollow powers? Seeing Ichigo get them makes since, seen he was on the line between Hollow and Shinigami. But the others they are already souls, so they do not have the same situation that Ichigo did.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.

For Rukia, if I'm not mistaken, she "majors" in kidou, which means she knows a lot of spells. How many, can not be certain. And, for her shikai/bankai, as far as we know she only has shikai. However, she does seem powerful enough to obtain bankai if she has not already and is keeping it secret.

Yeah, Hitsugaya's bankai attaches to him. It gives him "ice wings", and I think even a tail. It doesn't seem to be complete however, as the ice stars that float behind him slowly melt as the fight he's in progresses. It's said that he's forced to call back his bankai after they all disappear, but it hasn't been proven, and was brought up by an arrancar in a recent Japanese episode. He's by far my favorite shinigami, he's just downright awesome! He has supreme control of ice in his bankai, flinging it about as if it were the most abundant substance in the world. It can greatly change landscapes....

Unohana. (fourth Div. Captain) Not much is know of her zanpukto, Minazuki. one of its forms is turning into a giant ray like animal....thing that has healing properties. If you are in Minazuki's belly, your wounds gradually heal. Also, Minazuki can fly, which is a pretty useful ability when you need to get someone to a hospital.

It is unknown if this is Unohana's shikai or bankai, but she uses it a lot so it seems to be her shikai. As for the mist thing you were talking about, I don't know much about it besides what was seen in the ending.

I all started when Urahara helped him get his powers back.
Ichigo would technically be classified as a vizard, yes. He's a little bit different from a conventional vizard, being Ichigo, but that is the closest thing you can classify him as. He's not an arrancar, as he never became a complete hollow, but since he got his hollow powers AT THE SAME TIME as his (not Rukia's) shinigami powers, he's not entirely vizard either.

Well, there are certain inventions one can use to force hollow power out of them, but other then that, I really don't kno the conventional method. I thought I remember one of the characters saying in an episode that all shinigami have hollow powers sleeping within and all one must do is awaken them, but I could be entirely mistaken.

And yeah Rasler, Ichigo is pretty badass like that.

The concept that Shinigami's having dormant hollow powers would make sense. A hollow and shinigami are both souls, just in different extremes. Hollow in general seem to be more base instinct, but also more primal. While Shinigami seem to be more refined and their intelligence still intact. But there are intelligent hollows as well. The lower, weaker ones just seem to be more about instinct. Having the other side in one self would make sense seeing Ichigo's trail.

Knowing that there is only two paths, hollow or shinigami then everyone probably has a piece of each in them. The path take leaves the other piece behind and lost. Though I guess in Ichigo's case it was never lost after becoming a Shinigami, it just sat in waiting.

So do Vizards take on hollow appearances when they use the powers and do arrancar look more like Shinigami when they use said powers? Or are they still the same? I know that Ichigo changes when he inherits his hollow powers at times, namely the mask of a hollow.

So Minazuki eats the person it is going to heal? That is definitely a little strange to say the least. I would really not like the feeling of being inside an animal, preferably the patient is unconscious. But the animal must be large if it can swallow people. How long before we get to see her in action? Sounds like she does have some what of a reoccurring role, though I guess all of the captain would. Though I don't even know if she has really been given screen time yet.

Back to the good stuff on Bleach this week with the filler episode over. I can't wait to see some more.

The vizards wear hollow masks when they fight, other then that, they look pretty "normal."

Arrancar on the other hand, change completely. An arrancar is basically a hollow who has cast off his mask, showing a human appearance underneath. They aren't blackish...things anymore, but rather human-like. Bits of mask remain on various places of the body, and the hole where the chain of fate used to be is also present. Most are human size, but there are the over-sized ones (Yammy). They look like this all the time, not solely when fighting.

Minazuki is quite large. Large enough for Captain Unohana and her vice-captain to sit comfortably on top of her while she transports the wounded. I'm not quite sure precisely when you first see this, but it is sometime during the soul society arc, so it shouldn't be too far away.

Yeah, it would be kind of uncomfortable to sit in an animal's stomach to get healed.Espically since you get spit up when all's well....

Someone stated that an arrancar's size and shape and power can be based off on what kind of a hollow they started off as. I'm talking about the gillian, *I forgot*, and the Vasto Lorde. Yammy and Arronerio are pretty much classified as Gillians due to their shape, size, and power. Other Arrancar like Ulquiorra and Grimmjow can be classified as Vasto Lordes due to their ability, power, and intelligence (Grimmjow is not that smart).

Anywyas, Captain Unohana's Shikai/Bankai and be translated into an "escape, healing" type of zanpakuto. It's pretty obvious since not too many people in the 4th Division other than Hantaro and Isane have an offensive "healing" Zanpakuto. It seems as if the 4th Division has been left out of major activities.

I've never seen Unohana fought before using her Zanpakuto. It kind of seems like Minizuki is a Bankai due to its ability and size, but then again, I could be wrong. The Divisions with the least activities so far from my perspective are the; 4th, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and the ... well I'm not sure.

The episode of Bleach was... well, boring, but a little bit funny too.

Which episode of Bleach are you refering to, Holocaust? The one that was on AS or a fan subbed episode that you watched?

But I would imagine that squad 4 really does not get much time on screen because of their purpose. They are a support team, so fighting is not what they normally do. How many of the members actually have Zanpukto's? I would imagine that they all have them, but they do not seem to wear them. I don't know if that is the case for the entire squad, but at least in the ending credits you really only see the Captain and Vice-Captain with them.

So does Ichigo get eaten up by Minazuki or someone? It seems like you know from experience of seeing it happen that someone is healed inside the animal and then spit back out.

And Holocaust, I guess they cannot show all of the squads equally. They are too many of them and too many members. The squad 10 and 11 seem to be big focused since Ichigo already ran across a few from squad 11, they are the front line fighters aren't they? Plus that one is Kenpachi's squad. And the tenth is, the little guy's time which seemed to go out to the real world. Though the captains are more of a focus at this point, aren't they? Since at this point Ichigo and any other villains that decide to apparent need to be as or stronger than Ichigo, which is near to be on par with a Captain, and is definitely the level of a Vice-Captain, since he beat Renji. And once he has his Bankai, Ichigo is going to be on par with a Captain. So all of the opponent would otherwise kill anyone lesser than that unless they have a Bankai of their own.

So Arrancars should be interesting since they are no longer looking like Hollows. I would be curious to see what they looked like before as a hollow, just see the difference. But I doubt that happens. Still it is very interesting. Are the Arrancars and Vizards supposed to be more poweful than the Shinigami, since they have sort of the best of both worlds? And I assume that they have a Zanpukto of their own. Does things change for Zanpukto for the Vizards? Or is it still the same deal?

I was referring to the fansubbed one.

I guess I didn't think there. Since there are 13 Squads and with the situation so far, I guess they couldn't add all of them on screen No, Ichigo did not get eaten by Minizuki or by anything yet. You could say Ichigo is at a fighting capability of that of a Shinigami Captain or Lieutenant. Seeing as how he made friends with the 6th, 10th, and 11th Divisions are pretty good.
He has some back ups now incase if anything goes wrong or if he is outnumbered.

Arrancars & Vizards are alot more powerful than some Shinigami Captains. For example, Grimmjow and Shinji are very powerful Arrancar/Vizards. Since Ichigo beats Byakuya in which Grimmjow beats Ichigo and Shinji beats Grimmjow, we can all assume that they are in a league of their own. Now with Ichi getting his hollow mask and all, we can see that his powers increase by alot but the time he can be in that form is very limited. Approx 11 secs.

It's safe to say that atleast the Vizards are enemies with Arrancar and are on the good side rather than, evil. Their Zanpakuto's are pretty much the same for Vizards but with more power due to their "masks." Arrancar however get a Zanpakuto upon transforming from a hollow so I can't really say.

Ichigo has a lot more poweful back up. The only one that seems to be on par with Ichigo is Ishida and I do not know if that is really the case or not. I don't know how poweful Chad is, but he does not seem to be nearly as strong as a Ichigo. He has yet to fight, so I will not know his strength yet. So it is good that he actually has real back up that is strong, Shinigami's who are trained to fight. Chad and Orihime are not really made to fight, they just accidentally gained powers thanks to Ichigo's presence.

Does make you wonder if other Shinigami or Hollows would have a similar affect on people as Ichigo did on Chad and Orihime. It could be the way the Quincy were created. Though I do not know how you pass down fighting traits. I guess it would be a bloodline thing rather than something you would learn.

So do Arrancar remain in their form or do they change back to Hollow form? Since Ichigo seems to not be able to stay in the form from what you say. Do Vizards and Arrancar have similiar problems?

Well, I think I read somewhere that Arrancar can make their holes (from where the soul chain eroded) appear and disappear at will. But since (I don't think) they can hide their mask fragment they never really bother to use this ability to conceal their identity. Also, one would assume that this would take some effort, so why bother if this minor ability is inneffectual.

As for similar quirks involving powers and abilities, I have no clue.

Following a similar logic to that which Ichigo's inner hollow used in episode 123, I would guess someone would develop stronger innate hollow powers as a result of exposure to the spirit of a powerful lingering soul (Hasn't moved on to Soul Society or been devoured by Hollows yet). A soul will usually turn into a Hollow unless there is intervention by a shinigami. In contrast, since Ichigo was alive, those exposed to him developed shinigami-esque powers.

On an unrelated side-note, I have become a fan of Grimmjow. He utterly bested Ichigo in episode 121. I love the fact that he's so much faster than Ichigo and that he doesn't bother to dodge; He just catches Ichigo's blade with his bare hand.

Well I watched last nights episode of Bleach, though Cartoon Network was screwed up. They had no video for the longest time and the rest of the night they had no audio just the video. So it was pretty hard to know what was happening. There was not a lot that seemed to be happening, but the last scene was pretty clear.

    Spoiler:
Aizen got mounted to the wall by what looks to be his own Zanpukto

Very strange indeed. I will be really curious to see what become of this since it is the first major event to happen since Ichigo arrived. It was clearly not Ichigo or anyone in their party's doing, since it would be impossible for them to do that sort of thing and not create a scene in the process.

It does leave me to wonder since his sword can cast illusions, if what is being seen is really even the truth or not. I guess I will find out soon enough. But there is definitely unrest in the Soul Society and it should create some nice divisions between everyone and conflicts. I am going to be interested in seeing what becomes of all of this and where things are heading. This was always sitting in the background with Ichigo going around on a rampage, but now that it is in the front things have changed a great deal.

I got to see all of the captains again, and the fourth captain. ^^ She looks really content and pleased for no specific reason. Just looking at her eyes seems like she could calm anyone, in spite of all of the chaos around her. Very strange.

Then there is a Ichimaru and the little guy showing up out of nowhere to speak to Aizen's Vice-Captain. She looks so young and frail, so obviously is not frail, if she is a Vice-Captain, then she must be strong. Does make me wonder how some of those people got their positions.

Hollows are intersting monsters to say the least. They can be so weak to the point that you can kill them with one swing of a sword, or they can be so powerful you need your ban kai to barley take them out depending on how well you can use your ban kai.

The only thing I can't understand it why do Arrancars half to be evil. I really don't see what they desire. Whats there ultimate goal? Do they like want souls to become whole or something im not sure about that. Just wanna know why all the arrancars are such asses and not the vaizards.

I think people don't like Grimjow because he's such and ass. He trash talks, and he thinks he's hot shit. (pardon the language) I read the manga and cause it's alot further into the series than the anime, and im starting to like Grimjow a little more.

From what I've seen of the Vizard and the Arrancar, their both pretty cool. I like the Vizard more though.

On a separate topic, I'm planning on doing a shinigami academy RP. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Since we don't know much, we can make up what goes on by ourselves.

Aizen's vice-captain, Hinamori Momo, does seem pretty frail. When you see her younger, she's just a cute little bubbly kid who doesn't seem to fit into the shinigami world at all. We haven't seen a lot of her power, most likely because they want her to seem frail because of certain plot elements. I don't want to go into too much detail and spoil things for you.

As for grimmjow, I have a really stupid reason for disliking him. I know if this one little plot element didn't get in my way I'd think he was awesome, but the thing is I really like Ulquiorra, and Grimmjow's a big a** to him. So, naturally I defend Ulquiorra, and hate Grimmjow.

As for the motives of the arrancar, they haven't made that very clear in the anime yet. Perhaps they want the powerful position their leader is offering them. Perhaps they feel a strange sense of loyalty towards him. Whatever the case, it would be nice to have some of the espada on Ichigo's side. However, for those who know a bit about the current manga
    Spoiler:
we know that Ichigo does get some former espada on his team. Which, is probably helpful.

And, Jecht, for your RP. That's exactly what we're doing already. We're starting out before we die, going to the academy for a while, and then ultimately graduating and starting life as a shinigami. Exactly where the RP's going to end is unclear at this point. Perhaps we'll stop after the academy and plan a sequal, perhaps we'll just go on and on and end with the actual bleach storyline. We're at the beginning of the RP, so I haven't decided where it ends. I don't even know where it'll go yet. That's up to all of us as a group to decide.

It seems like a lot of the Shinigami when they were young and not Shinigami yet were a lot kinder people that were more carefree. Then something happened and that all changed for them. Though not everyone was a child when they entered the spirit world. I really cannot imagine Kenpachi as a child. And even if he had been at some point, I would still think that he would be that freakish brute of a child that you just stirred away by your first glance.

Though I guess it also depends on where you are in the whole system of the Rukongai. Kenpachi was way in the back where the criminals and life and death was everything. So it is only natural he is going to be a brute.

So are the Noble Families explained some? I know that they generally invite people into their families. Since it is rare to find someone related to you in the Soul Society. So those that are noblity are not really noble blood, just special enough to get invited right? They are all Shinigami, there is not some of them that are in the family, but not Shinigami? I guess if you were born into the family, like we were talking about before it could be possible. Though they probably would inherit their powers and become a Shinigami anyway.

But someone had to have decided on making the family noble to begin with. It seems like everything in the Soul Society was created by like one person. So his friends or whatever became the Noble and different group? Is it all favoritism and things like that? I don't know, that may not have been explained yet so you might not know.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.
