I'm afraid I'm not sure who they are. And more than likely I have not even seen them fighting since I can only remember the people that appear frequently, due to difficult Japanese names. ^^; So I could not really say anything about that sort of fight.

Urahara's Bankai should be pretty interesting then. I would imagine that we will see it eventually since he is probably going to be called upon to fight at some point. It would be a real same to live things so mysterious with him that you don't get to see what his Bankai actually is. It probably has something to do with blood since that seems to be what the Shikai and abilities he has revolve around.

So did Ichigo develop projectile abilities with this Zanpukto or are those arc of energy just focused attacks from his training? Because I see him do it a few times in videos on youtube and they obviously have not happened yet. The only time he did something was when he made that big crater focusing his Zanpukto and spirit energy. This looked quite a bit different. Does Zengetsu have an element or special abilities? Aside from increasing Ichigo's speed during his Bankai.

Bleach was on this last weekend, unlike last time. So I finally got to see Kenpachi and Ichigo start their fight. Though not a lot happened, just Ichigo hurt his hands from trying to strike Kenpachi and failing. The guy really is insanely tough, but having more focused spirit energy helps too. I can't wait to see more of their fight.

I didn't make anymore Bleach Banners, since I ran out of images to use. If I had more I could make some more. But I've exhausted the limit supply that I had.

No, Ichigo just gains a couple new attacks in his bankai form. It's not an element or anything, just something to improve his skills.


As for the fight, I'll go ahead and answer it.

Though it's two on one, I'd have to say the captain-commander would win. He taought the two he now faces, and is the most powerful and wisest shinigami in souls society. We don't know much about any of their zanpukto's, so I can't go into much detail there, but in terms of wisdom, and strategy, the commander would find a way to take them down.

I loved your banners Andromeda. If you ever get around to finding more pics and want to make a club banner, that'd be great. I'd supply pics, but I have a lot going on right now, and don't have a lot of time to pick any out. If you want to PM me, I'm sure I could find some time to get some good ones for you in good time.

If you wanted more banners or club banners I can make them for you. You'd just have to tell me what you want in them. I wouldn't be able to fit all of the captains in a banner neatly, since it would probably be a little too crowded. But I could do themed club banners for different squads and such. Or if you want you adopt the ones I made as club banners, I don't mind. I was in the mood, but did not plan on using them personally. So I figured here would be the best place to hand them out, since they were Bleach related.

You don't have to transfer pictures too me. If you had a good site that had pictures I can look into it myself. I did the best I could searching through google on a fairly light search.

The guy with glasses who knows a lvl 99 Kidou spell against Uryuu. I don't know what all of the other Kidou spells are, but since he knows that high of a spell there is really no telling how many he knows. All though in spite of that, he was still unable to restrain Ichigo during his Shinigami and Hollow transformation in the pit. There seems to be a lot more to the guy than we know or at least I know. So it would be really hard to know how he would fair in a fight with Uryuu.

I would say that Uryuu would probably win because I have seen him fight a little. Though the guy with glasses would definitely put up a good fight. With all of the things that happened in the pit he got out with only cracked glasses. So he is definitely a strong opponent to face. If I had a little more of an idea what he was like in a fight, I would probably say Uryuu could lose. However, hearing about all of the things that Uryuu does in the future, Uryuu may win very easily. But I am just going off what I have seen in AS episodes thus far.

Let's see, who would come out on top Ikkiku versus Sora (he's the guy with the Zanpukto that doubles weight, right?)?

I'm not really watching bleach consistantly, but I may spend some of tomorrow to watch some eps. Last time I spent a day watching it I got from ep 13 to ep 24 ^^. I'm up to the part where theyr'e going to shoot the cannonball to break the forcefield type thing to get in and save Rukia. It's looking like Ichi's going to have a challange if he comes up against some of the stronger soul reapers, but it'll make for some good action lol

Ikkaku vs. Sora? (Darn English translations) Are you talking about Kira Izuru? If so then yes you are right, he does have the zankpakuto, Wabisuke (Apology), that doubles weight of everything it touches. By the way, Darkwolf, I saw you make that comment about Sora and Riku and I was wondering why you mentioned Kingdom Hearts in the discussion. lol

Anyways, I think Kira would win if he were a bit more skilled and agile than he is now. If he kept blocking, Ikkaku's zankpakuto would be much heavier and harder to control.

As for the outcome of your duel Andromeda, I'd have disagree with Suzu and say Ikkaku. Most of my reasoning is from beyond AS, in the arrancar arc, so I'll put it in spoil tags.

Spoiler: Ikkaku has his bankai. He's had it for a while, just chooses to keep it a secret. Kira's abilities may be useful, but Ikkaku's also very strong, and can carry a lot of weight. Kira doesn't seem like the type to withstand too much condensed damage to me, so I'd have to go with Ikkaku. He beat an arrancar after all.

Next fight: Yachiru vs. the young girl from urahara's shop.

Also, I'm worried about lack of activity in the club. We only have a couple active members. I thank the active members greatly, and plan on buying you gifts when I get the chance to show you my gratitude, but there's just not enough of you. I don't know what to do to boost activity. Any ideas?

I'm back. Had a severe viral upper respiratory infection. It was the 3rd most unbearably painful thing I've ever experienced.

It did, however, give me lots of time to catch up on Bleach at Crunchyroll. I have now seen up to episode 62 or so---The Soul Society story arc.

I have noticed one or two things I want to discuss.

Similarities between Hitsugaya and Ichigo

• Ichimaru makes a comment about how Hitsugaya is some divine protector that only occurs every hundred years or so (Or something to this effect.)
• Hitsugaya also has a Zanpakuto that stays in Shikai release. (The watery-dragon thing is an attack, like Ichigo's Gestuga Tenshou.)
• Both Ichigo's and Hitsugaya's eyes turn blue when they release large amounts of power.

It seems likely that Ichigo is another one of these Divine protectors.


As for another interesting discussion, how about some speculation about the end of Bleach?

I personally think Ichigo should end up as a captain or have an honorary squad created in his honor, etc. The sheer amount of service he has done for Soul Society warrants more than a "Thank you."

Well, wow I never actually noticed all of those similarities but you're right now that I think about it. I think it's a good theory, perhaps the "powers that be" decided that the world needed two legendary protectors this time around instead of one to deal with the...current threats.

The end of bleach, that's a depressing one to think about. But, I suppose it's a good idea that Ichigo becomes a captain, or even the next captain-commander. Though I personaly wish for the shinigami as we know them to be destroyed. Not killed, but made into normal people like the rest of the souls into soul society except they have gone through rigid training to be protectors of everyone, living and dead.

Hitsugaya & Ichigo: Ohhh, that's an interesting theory Rasler. In fact, I'm right there with Xeim. I never even realized that until you had just mentioned it. That sounds pretty awesome actually and I definately have to agree with you on that one. Your theory is convincing...

End of Bleach: Heh... As for becoming a squad captain, I don't really think that will necessarily happen since it's expected by like, everyone. They might twist it a bit. You never know...

Hey, how about some possible future plot twists?
Here's some ideas I've been playing around with.


Zaraki learning his Zanpakuto's name, and thereby becoming the most physically overpowered character again.

Outer-hollow Ichigo stabbing one of those spirit dolls and materializing Inner-hollow Ichigo. (Since Ichigo's internal spirit switches at the same time as bodily control.)

Perhaps a "final release" beyond Bankai? (Byakuya explains that bankai is this exceptionally rare and honorable achievement. Even members of noble blood who have naturally superior spirits rarely achieve bankai. Yet it seems just about everyone has it. Perhaps they mislabelled the 3rd zanpakuto form as the 4th. And perhaps the true bankai became forgotten or hidden knowledge.)

Aizen makes a reference to God in Bleach. During his escape into Hueco Mundo from Soul Society, he says to (tuberculosis-guy) something akin to "None of us were standing in Heaven to begin with, not even God. The unbearable absence in the throne of Heaven shall end. I shall sit on that throne."

The religious themes of Bleach are more sparse than expected, but they are still there.
Hell exists in Bleach and serves the same function it does in the Christian faith, as an eternal punishment.
Hueco Mundo is likely a parallel to Purgatory, but a much darker take on it. It's even described in the show as being between th eliving and spirit worlds. Or perhaps it is a Demi-Hell of sorts. It's definitely dark and evil, but not firey.
Soul Society then is the equivalent of heaven. Souls of good deceased people end up there.

Aizen's direct acknowledgement of God might suggest God's existence in Bleach.

In my perspective, I believe this to be a hubris-filled megalomaniacal rant, rather than an actual plot point.

Sorry about the Sora thing, I knew it was a name that I already knew from something else. I just could not think of what it was exactly so I ended up with something that sounded close. I'll try to remember Kira, I know that from Gundam SEED. But I purposely put those two, since Kira had one advantage, but I knew that Ikkiku had his Bankai which was pretty crazy from what I have seen of it. The animation and detail when he was fighting with his Bankai was simply breathtaking. It was so much detail, shading and work to make those few shots with him, but it really shows. The only sad thing is that it makes the rest of the animation in the show seem sub par when you go up to that next level for a moment.

As for Yachiru versus Ururu, it is really hard for me to say who would win, since I have never seen Yachiru fight. I assume since she is a vice-captain that she is powerful and can fight well. I see that she has a Zanpukto, though what it does is a mystery to me. But I have seen Ururu fight, even if it was only a few times. She has the strange missile rack as her weapon and has natural strength of her own. But I would say Yachiru would probably win simply because she is a Vice-Captain. It would be really hard to know how the fight would actually go. Ururu is by no means weak, but I don't think she can stand up against a Vice-Captain.

The whole God thing in Bleach seems like an interesting subject. Though I would be hard pressed to call the Soul Society heaven, it is a place where good people go to. But it is hardly the paradise and afterlife that one would believe heaven to be. Not to mention that the afterlife is thought to be eternal, while the Soul Society is anything, but eternal. You can live and die there and return to the living world. I would say that it is probably closer to Purgatory. But I would say that it is a like weigh station, just a stop before you get to Heaven. And I guess if you are really, really good or whatever, you might go to Heaven instead of the Soul Society. It is an interesting thought though. Isn't there a king or some ruling person that is locked away unseen in the Soul Society. I remember reading something about it, but since no one has seen them, we don't know what they are like or if they are even close to what we would think of as God.

On the subject of keeping the club active. I don't know, I try to post as much as I can, so that someone can post. But aside from having discussions about the show I don't know what else we can do. We could always do some sort of mock internal roleplay similar to the Shinigami Golden Cup. You have a little more ammunition on the characters than I do, so you probably could have more fun with it. Or once the RP really gets going in the Soul Society, we could just do our own characters in a Shinigami Golden Cup. I think it would be funny if my character was walking through the hall when the Women's Shinigami Club was meeting and got dragged in thinking he was a member mistaking him for a girl. I'd imagine that we could have a lot of fun with that.

How about Urahara versus Byakuya...in a battle of wit *cough* (Byakuya would lose so fast). So who would win in a fight.

Ok, for Urahara vs. Byakuya- It's a toughie. They're both very good fighters...But, seeing that Ichigo did in fact beat Byakuya, and has yet to really defeat Urahara, I'd have to go with Urahara, simply based on that. Plus, as you said Andromeda, Urahara is quite smart, and smarts in a fight can sometimes be morer useful then strength, especially if you're already really strong.

Wow, Rasler, this I why I've missed you. XD You always seem to have a ton of great ideas for the club. We've done a lot of those before, and have seemed to get somewhere with the character equivalents. I also love Andromeda's idea of doing shinigami's cup with our RP characters, and the normal characters for those who didn't participate in the RP.

So, we'll keep the duels open, as well as starting back up the chracter equivalents and having an active discussion so people have a variety of things to respnd to in case they don't want to respond to it all.

Well, next duel Kenpachi vs. Byakuya

As for God in bleach: I'm willing to therize that "God" would probably be the king ruling over soul soceity and then "heaven" would be the god's castle. I don't believe that it was ever SAID that once the souls in soul society die they go back to the real world, only theorized, so it could be assumed that they could go either way. If they've lived a good "afterlife" when they die they go to the "castle." If they live a bad one they are reincarnated. So, they have to pass a lot of trials to get into "heaven." FIrst, they must live a good life as to not go to hell, second they must have a soul burial preformed on them to get into Soul Society, and lastly they must live a good life there to get into heaven. Just a theory of course.

Well, i think it's high time i joined this Club, since i have been watching the series for some weeks now & it's starting to become an addiction to me.

So....i would like to join. If it's alright with you.

I can't really say anything about character equivalents because i haven't really though about it.

About the Kenpachi Byakuya battle though...Well, i think that Zaraki would win hands down.
He might not know his Zanpakuto's name, but his reiatsu is really high. If Byakuya was to defeat him, i think he'd only use the ability of Senbonzakura without using bankai. The thing is that Kenpachi loves fighting & will not fear anything. He's not afraid of being cut, so using 1000 swords against him will mean nothing. He'll just keep on deflecting most of them & given the chance, he'll slice Captain Kuchiki quite well.

Byakuya would be able to take him down from afar, but i'm still not sure about that being enough to take Kenpachi down. All he needs is one chance to strike. Considering the way he beat Tousen's bankai without being able to hear, see, feel anything in general, i don't think tha would be that difficult for him.

Besides, i don't think there's a captain stronger than Zaraki in any other squad. That 12th squad's white geek though could prove to be tough.

For me the easiest Captain battle would be Kurotsuchi Mayuri ( the geek ) against Hitsugaya. I will have to think about it though.

As for Mayuri vs. Hitsugaya, I'd have to go with....Hitsugaya. Not because I love him to death, but because of how...how is this best put? Well, Mayuri may control gases, but if you can stay out of range oof them you're fine. Hitsugaya has the long range capabilities to do this. He can shoot ice from his bankai and everything. So, I'd have to go with him.

Next fight: Yourichi vs. Gin (Soul Society arc)

And don't forget no one about our character equivalents and discussion!

Yoruichi, I suppose.

Although Gin does arguably have the best combat range of any character, he has nowehere near enough speed to defeat Yoruichi. Yoruichi would be likely to continually attack between flash steps. But then again, Yoruichi seems to rely mostly on melee attacks. Gin's Sinshou's piercing strength at close range would be fatal.

Yoruichi would probably flee the fight rather than take the risk and waste the effort.

If she absolutely was locked into a killing match with Gin, I'm sure she'd have some trick like she usually does.

Well, Andromeda. You are well-qualified to become a vice captain. I don't think I'm going to design any sort of quiz that people have to take to become a vice-captain, simply bewcause your posts themselves show that you have knowledge of the show. Since you become a vice-captain through posting, there's no reason. I'll move you up to vice-captain of your division now, unless you'd rather stay where you are. When more then one person in a division qualifies for vice-captain within the same division, then I will PM each of you a bleach question. Whoever send me back a correct answer first will keep the position. I don't think we'll run into this anytime soon though.

I'm not so sure that Chad and Kazuma would work, Kazuma talks too much and is really cocky and arrogant. Chad is tall and silent, hardly talks and does even like to fight back. They are two extremes I would says than similiarities. He might be closer to Kaze from FF: Unlimited, though Kaze still shows up and fights briefly the rest of the time he is a silent man. Though Kaze maybe a little to introverted to be similiar to Chad.

The Kenpachi and Byakuya fight I think Byakuya would even up winning. While I have not actually seen the episodes where either fights Ichigo, Byakuya was able to keep up with Ichigo at Bankai, who is one of the fastest characters in the show. And he had to use his Hollow, unintentionally to actually over take Byakuya, so I would say that Kenpachi would have trouble even touching him. He might be able to take him down in one strike, but if you can't land a single blow because the enemy is too fast then Kenpachi is just going to get cut up until he bleeds himself unconscious. Kenpachi would just take it all, but he would still lose eventually if he can't keep up with the speed. And I know that Byakuya's control of his Bankai increases when he uses his hands rather just his mind.

In the Hitsugaya and Mayuri fight I think it would have to be Hitsugaya, since I read that Uyruu beat Mayuri. And if Uyruu could do it, I think Hitsugaya would be able to beat him. Plus as said, Hitsugaya has long range ice attacks. Mayuri would probably flee though before the final blow would be landed.

Yourichi against Gin, I'm guessing something changes with Gin after the Soul Society arc. Since I don't know about that, but I know that Yourichi is really fast and an amazing fighter even without her Zanpukto. I would say that she would probably win. Gin's zanpukto is quick to strike, but as I understand it Yourichi is really fast and talented in Kidou. Plus being the previous 2nd Squad Captain, she would be able to go head to head with Gin without much trouble.

Orihime versus the Wind Scythe Shinigami that Uyruu defeated. That battle never happened, so how you think it would have turned out. I don't even know if Orihime gets stronger later on in the show.

At first i thought that Mayuri sucked, back when he fought Ishida. I though that his Bankai, which was the first i ever saw was useless & couldn't even put down Ishida.

But i changed my mind when i saw the battle he had against that Bounto, the old one, in Soul Society. About Uyruu defeating him; i don't know... It was because of him breaking the glove & temporarilly gaining amazing reiatsu.
About Hitsugaya's long range attacks, it's easy for everyone to dogde them using flash step, so he wouldn't have any trouble. Fighting from a long distance wouldn't be an option if the opponent can dogde & it's not that Hitsugaya can control it like Byakuya does. The kid couldn't even defeat Gin who was toying with him.

Mayuri would evade most his attacks & try to cut him even once, thus paralysing his limb. Even if he would lose an arm, he'd use that sirum he had to make it grow back. Well, by using Bankai, the gas would spread in the air, which is a law of the nature & everyone has to breathe.... I think that he's just spread the Bankai's gas and stay hidden for as long as needed. Sooner or later Hitsugaya would either inhale the gas or have a moment when he lets his guard down. Everyone does. Then he'd make his move.

I think that the main dissagvantage that Hitsugaya has are the petals over his head when he uses his Bankai. There's a time limitation & he cannot defeat Mayuri if he's sneaking around until the petals are all gone. The advantage of Mayuri are the gadgets he has with him. It's hard for him to lose that way, especially if you consider that he can escape like he did when fighting Ishida.

Anyways, that battle wouldn't be a typical battle where both would go all out. Mayuri would think more and act less.

About Yourichi & Gin....I think that Yourichi would beat up the Soul Society Gin. When fighting against Soi Fon, she did hold back, so if she were to fight him, she'd give it all. The fact that she doesn't have a Zanpakuto is a con, because if she took a hit, she wouldn't be able to deflect it; it would be a direct hit. But i think that against Arrancar Gin, after him leaving Soul Society, he surely would have some some aces up his sleeve. No matter how hight her reiatsu is with the Flashcry, that wouldn't be enough. While Ichigo is making a huge progress throughout the series, she doesn't seem to change at all,so she probably won't have enough strength to defeat him.

What happened to her Zanpakuto anyways???

The rumor or theory that I read about Yoruichi's Zanpukto was that Soi Fong now has her Zanpukto. I can't speak to much more than that, so there might be someone else that knows a little better than I. I am just reading this from the Bleach Portal link that Xeim provided a little while ago. Though I don't know if it is actually possible for Zanpukto's to handed over or transferred since they are part of the Shinigami on some level.

One can fight the Bankai though right? Hitsugaya could just attack Mayuri's Bankai to move out of the way or halt it in some fashion. I doubt he could destroy it, but I would imagine that it capable of being harmed in such a form. But I guess it would also depend on the area they are fighting in and if Mayuri can run away and hide. It definitely would be a challenging fight with the poison gas.

But Hitsugaya is supposed to be fairly skilled in his own rights. I would still have to think that if Mayuri was over come, that Hitsugaya should be able to find an opening as well. I don't know the circumstances around Mayuri's defeat by Uyruu, but he was beat. Hitsugaya should be aware of what Mayuri's Bankai can do as much as the other captains, since you have to use your Bankai as proof to become a captain.

I can definitely see how Mayuri would have the upper hand, but I don't think Hitsugaya would be so helpless. If he is considered the Divine Protector or something, he must have something else to him that makes him special. When he was fighting Gin though, neither of them used their Bankai's right? The battle might have been different if they had. I don't know know what Gin's Bankai is.

I remember Rassler talking about a possible future plot, including Kenpachi learning his Zanpakuto's name.

Well, i found this in the Bleach Portal:

Spoiler: For the longest time, Kenpachi-taicho thought his blade didn't even have a name. However, it looks like he discovered it after with Ichigo. But he has yet to tell us about it.

If something like this is true, then we might see it when Aizen makes his move in Soul Society ( after his Arrancars flee from the battle in the real world ).
That way he would be able to defeat whoever he fought easily; even Aizen- his reiatsu will explode.
But Ichigo is the main character, so he should defeat him, right? So, will he have gotten strong enough to surpass Zaraki, a Zaraki who can release his Shinkai & Bankai??? He will learn how to contol his Inner Hollow, but i don't think that would be enough.

Anyhow, if he really discovers his blade's name, i think he'll be a danger for Ichigo & for the whole Sould Society as well; he has no respect for anything, right? And he does want to fight Ichigo again without holding back.

Well, Kenpachi just seems to enjoy fighting and only the strongest people. There is not much else he seems to care about. Though I'm not so sure that he would be a threat to the Soul Society, it would be that they would to really be able to control him probably if he did gain and master his Bankai. But that probably would not be any different than before. He just seemed to do what he wanted anyway. He would just fight whoever is the strongest, which I am a little surprised that he has not fought all of the captains.

Though I would imagine that Yamamoto could probably keep Kenpachi in line if something happened. He is not the head of the Shinigami's for nothing. The man is old, but he can still fight and probably has plenty of things hidden up his sleeves that he has yet to reveal. He is also more adminstration and command at this point than a combatant, so unless something huge happens I have a feeling that we will never see him do anything.

But as I understand it Kenpachi's Zanpukto is stuck in his Shikai form, in spite of him not knowing it name. Which seems a little strange of it being in its Shikai form and him not knowing its name. But it was said that he was just crazy awesome. He has an emence amount of spiritual energy, but it is just all raw power. So if that was the case, he would just need to train or whatever to learn his Bankai, since you do not really need to know its name at that point, just converse and whatever with your Zanpukto. But not having a name, could imply that he has never seen the soul of his Zanpukto or whatever. Which would prove difficult in learning his Bankai. Though what sort of Bankai would he have that would be suited towards his personality? A massive sword or something, similar to Ichigo?

Well, i believe that Yamamoto still is the head of the Gotei 13 both because of his great power as well as out of respect by the rest captains.

One would think that when fighting against Kyouraku & Ukitake on the day of Rukia's execution. I thought that we would kill then in one hit. But he didn't.

It would be very difficult to control Zaraki, even for Yachiru; she wants him to have fun anyway.

When it comes to his Bankai, it could be something massive- like his reiatsu, but i mostly think it would be something really small, like Ichigo's, not even altering hisouter appearance, clothes or anything. Just a sword like the one he has now, a bit different probably. The main essence is that it would have highly condensed reiatsu flowing from it, giving him speed, stregnth & so on...

So we're talking about Kenpachi huh? Well, as far as I know you have to be able to see your zanpukto's physical apparition to learn bankai. However, I don't know if you actually have to know their name to see them. So, perhaps he learned the zanpukto's name, but if he did not, he could always use one of Urahara's alternative training methods to force his bankai out. But, I bet he could force it out anyway using his spiritual power.

But, you need to train against your zanpukto to learn bankai, making it impossible to learn a genuine bankai without being able to make your zanpukto appear.

As for what it would look like: I think it would turn into one of those double-sided swords. I'm sorry I can't remember what they're called right now. Zidane uses them in FFIX sometimes. There's a blade, then a handle then another blade? Anyway, I think it would be a large on of those, personally. I don't think his appearance would change either (like cloudy said).

Yeah, I know what you are talking about Xeim. Something that like would seem appriopriate for him. Though it would almost seem that keeping things simple would be the way Kenpachi works, thinking about it. He is not the brightest one, just crazy strong and loves to fight. So having something huge might not be a good thing for him, especially if he has to control it. He would probably just prefer having a sword to swing, simple and unelegant.

I was thinking about it a little last night and what would make sense to match the way Kenpachi is right now is to do something similar to Hitsugaya. His Bankai creates an armor or protective material around his body increasing his defense. He already has a lot of endurance and strength just from his spiritual pressure, so added protection would seem like a suitable addition to him without being difficult to manage for him.

Whatever his Bankai would be it would probably have to be simple. He just does not have mental ability to manage something overwhelming like a lot of the other Bankai's I think. Which is probably similar to Ichigo, having a speed increase is something simple for him to understand. He does not need complex objects or things, because it would only confuse him too much. Neither of them are the brighest bunch of Shinigami, but they are strong fighters. Which in the end is often enough to win.

First of all, thank you, Xeim. It didn't turn that bad, considering that i made it really fast. Anyways, it's just a wipe-draw-cut-paste thing. I made a stupid mistake & i'll have to redo part of it. I'll be using another one for sometime.

About Kenpachi, i think that as Andromeda said, it would be really confuzing for him to have a complex Zanpukto or at least one with added effects related to the use of kidou. Besides, he's the 11th squad's captain; he would never have a such sword, since it's supposed to be linked to him. About the Bankai giving him additiona armor, that is a great opinion. It is possible, more than other stuff anyway.

Another matter. I don't know if you have already discussed this, but i have a question about Urahara, Yoruichi & Isshin.

Spoiler: I saw that they exiled him from Soul Society for making a gigai that leeched Shinigami powers and along with him, Yoruichi & Isshin Kurosaki. So, why didn't they seal their reiatsu away??? They did that with Ran Tao ( the Shinigami who created the Bounto ), whose felony was serious as well. And she couldn't leave Rukongai either. Why can they roam around freely & stll have their powers? I noticed that Soi Fong does have Yoruichi's Zanpukto, but other than that she ( Yurouichi ) can still perform kidou & Ichigo's father can still become a Shinigami.Why don't they do something about then as well? And since Isshin was a Shinigami in Soul Society along time ago, as it seems- 100 years or so- then he's using a gigai, or that is his actual body?

If it's been that long, he shouldn't have it.

Cloudy you may want to use the spoiler tags a little bit. Since there are at least a few people that are not in the hundreds on Bleach. Myself included. The policy that Xeim has adopted is that once Adult Swim shows it, it no longer requires spoilers, until then it is best to use it on plot related information or what not.

That aside, I know that Urahara and Yoruichi were both captains, this felony I know nothing about. So they may just be too strong to restrict or something. They were exiled, though Yoruichi returns, I guess because she is in a cat form. But otherwise, they do not seem to be doing any harm in the real world so they do not seem to care that much it seems. It is hard to know why they did not really do anything to them, since if you are sending someone so powerful to the real world it would be a good idea to restrict them. Especially since, they could attack other Shinigami if they wanted to. Though Yoruichi would have a difficult job at that without a Zanpukto, I don't know how much Kidou would do to a Shinigami. Obviously it would not kill them, but probably cause a fair amount of injury.

Urahara ends up training Ichigi, should seeing at the negatives and positives that has who knows how the Soul Society would view that. I know that Ichigo eventually helps out them, so the fact that Urahara trained a powerful Shinigami that helps them save themselves is definitely a benefit. Though I doubt that Yamamoto or whoever makes the exile decisions had that sort of foresight in mind.

If he did escape the Soul Society, then they might not have been able to catch him in time to restrict his powers. And Yoruichi left with him, so they might not have even been able to do anything to stop her. She is pretty fast. And since they are now in the real world, it could damage the material world if they released their full power to fight.

I'm guessing in the end that the Soul Society was unable to stop them and now does not care enough to do anything about it. And after the whole thing with Ichigo, they are probably looking the other way now. It is pretty clear that the two of them are not doing any harm to the real world, if anything they are protecting it. Though politics usually does not see things in such a rational manner.

For the matter of the gigai:

Spoiler: You have to remember that Urahara makes and repairs gigai. Therefore, it would be quite easy for Isshin to get a new gigai every few years, or repairs made to his current one. Heck, Urahara could probably come up with something permanent. I doubt it's his real body, because he was in Soul Society for so long. His real body would be a mere skeleton, and so far, they have not shown us any means of reviving flesh. Also, a thing I have been wondering for a while now is what Isshin had to do with all the experiments. They don't seem to say in the stuff I've read through.

Also, Andromeda, I've never thought of that before, that Urahara has in fact indirectly helped Soul Society by training Ichigo. So has Yourichi for that matter

--both have great respect for their "superiors" (Jaken: sesshomaru, yachiru: kenpachi), but not to the point that they are afraid to make silly or rude comments to them

--both can be considered the "comic relief"

--both aren't exactly what you'd consider to be the...smartest.
