All of these ideas are well and good but you could just lock your front door because Zombies couldn't band together to break a front door down or a double-glazed window and if need be lock all of your windows then lols until you need food then you grab duvets and crap and every blunt object in your house wear the duvet then fight your way to your car more supplies and then back in house whilst trying to keep zombehs away.

I think you're one of the few people who have NOT watched Night of the Living Dead. It's very possible for them to band together and break down a door. That's all they need to do. It'll be like cracking a walnut to them.

I would survive because I'm an expert on zombies. I know how they work, what's in their minds(or lack thereof).

I suppose I'll be the first to actually answer Angel's test question.

You'd go with the bright hallway where you can hear zombies. To some, this may seem like a bad idea, but the reasoning here is simple. Zombies don't just make noises for fun, they don't hold conversations. There is no reason for them to be making noise constantly. Because you cannot hear them does not mean they're not there. They can hear you if you're moving through the area, they can smell the meat, and will attempt to snack on you. Meanwhile, without light, you lose your ability to pick them off from a distance with any form of accuracy, and you lose your ability to detect them before they get too close and start munching on you. The only person at a disadvantage in the dark is you.

I can almost guarentee I'd survive a zombie apocalypse. In fact, I could honestly say any zombies stupid enough to go after me have better reason to be affraid than I do. First of all, I wouldn't be alone. Friend of mine who lives right up the street is as big a nerd as I am, with equal if not superior zombie knowledge and she was on our high school ROTC marksmanship team so she's a decent shot, we frequently discuss our survival plans for the lulz. I'd probably bing my dad too. He and I hunt, we own several firearms and are both pretty good shots (he shoots trap, skeet, and sporting clays competatively, he's an excellent marksman). We have plenty of weaponry in this house, mostly shotguns, few .22 rifles, .22 pistols, I collect knives and swords, and we have reloading components for shotgun shells to last a lifetime, so we're not going to run out of ammo at any point. I plan to fortify my old high school. Easily defensible, cafeteria food and medical supplies on hand, and the ROTC room in the basement would make an ideal saferoom, and it's already loaded with enough non perishable food and fresh water to last a handful of people for months. Also has more cheap .22 rifles and ammo used by the marksmanship team there.

I would survive by letting one of the Zombies bite me and pray that my DNA transforms the virus in my body to give me superhuman strength (Alice anyone), and if not then well guess I'll be a zombie.
