As if anyone would care about their physical appearance when they reach 60 anyway. Its not like you're gonna go round picking up chicks and then be like "oh noo, i have saggy tattoos I'm so ugly".
for me, the growing old part and having tattoos potentially wrinkle (who says they will) shouldn't really be an issue unless you're going to be concerned about your appearance when you reach that age.

Yes, I have a tattoo. I have Griever from FFVIII on my right wrist. I got it because playing FFVIII was a huge part of my childhood. It was (and still is) my favourite game ever. So there is a meaning behind mine.

I'm looking to get the words 'Maybe I'm A Lion' down the side of it.
As for meaning, I think some people will dig forever to find a meaning until it becomes more like an excuse. Do you really NEED a tattoo of griever? whether it be something with meaning, or just for the sake of art, in the end they are cosmetic enhancements on your body. When does the meaning cross the line of an excuse, just to reason with yourself to get the tattoo.
Im not sure I fully understand why people get tattooed when someone close to them dies. It falls under the same catagory as having 'words and dates etched into your skin'

just in case I get flamed, I must state that is only my opinion.

People express stuff in different ways. This is how I expressed something that I felt close to myself. I'm not saying I needed it, I wanted to show how much it meant to me in a way I deemed fit. People who get tattoos of dates of people close to them passes on, they are paying tribute to them in a way that they feel fit.

Also, thanks for the suggestions people, but I do change my mind about what I want a lot. That's probably why I haven't gotten any other tattoos in the year it's been since my last one . Suppose you've got to be sure right?

I think that's what it is. The picture IS stuck on there forever, if they didn't dig for meaning they would be left with nothing but regret.

Hey Hey now, my dad is 64 and he definitely cares about his appearance. Maybe not as much as I would for example but Just because he's old doesn't mean he has completely disregarded the way he looks.

No he's not going to be "picking up chicks" I wouldn't allow that but he still has insecurities like any normal person.

I just wanted to point that out since no one else responded to it.

I'm thinking about creating a hybrid. A dolphin-monkey. Half dolphin, half monkey. Do you think it's possible?
I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

I would think by that age, a persons insecurities would lay elsewhere. We'll just have to wait and see!
