    scary experiences?!!!

so have you ever experienced anything before in your life thats really scary and it just happened to you during a certain time or event?
    this is mine!

so it was a class camping trip and when we arrived there we set up our tents in a forest area. at first i thought it would be fun you know...camping out with classmates and friends and we were very excited about the trip, but this trip led me to encounter my very experience with legends and ghosts!!! so when we arrived there it was about 1:00am at night...we started driving there in the afternoon so it took us about 9-10 hours to get to there. that place immediately spooked the hell out of me. it was a creepy place with high cedar trees and a slight breeze that moves the trees in the back and forth direction. so i thought maybe its just a bit late and everywhere is dark so i thought i was just freakin myself out a little bit.... i later found out that we can rent motorcycles!!!! so we could go anywhere with our friends as long we dont pass the camp area. but screw that! nothing can possibly ruin my mood now!!!!...the teacher said we were going to go out for a quick ice-cream break just pass the street from the forest. so we grabbed our motorbikes and off we went. there were a few a few roads we could take... one is just down the forest, on the road, and across the street. the other one was down the forest, onto the railroad and then across the street. my friend and i took the railroad. (the teacher forgot to warn us not to take this road because there could be a train going by.) we were very hiper and then this was the moment...we were about to cross the railroad...and then we felt like somebody was holding us BACK! WE WERE TRAPPED ON THE RAILROAD...we checked if the bike wheels were stuck but it wasnt... we could actually LIFT the bike up so whats going on? i was the driver and i felt like SOMEBODY was holding our bike back but there wasnt anybody else except me and my friend...whatever it was it WOULDNT LET US GO!!! just then i saw headlights aiming at our direction...A TRAIN WAS COMING...OMG...my friend and i got off the bike and tried to pull it out of the railroad...but it wouldnt budge...so we gave it one more try and YES it became loose and can move again...HOOT HOOT..the train went by and we were THIS close to dying...we walked back to our camping site and waited there until the rest of the class got back from their ice-cream break.

I had one of those scary experiences in my recent years. I was driving home one day and the road was all wet and when I went to make a turn going towards my development, the rear end of my car went first and the car started to skid towards a pasture fence and i was trying to get the car to stop. Thank goodness there was no cars nearby and that the car stopped before it went off the road.

I am generally terrified of this thread... it took encouragement from a psychiatrist to get me to actually post in here. True story.

I almost drowned as a baby myself. Then I took swimming lessons and then a bunch of ribbons in swimming carnivals.

I haven't had many scary experiences unless you count my experiences where someone else is scared. I mean shit, I get so bored on slow work nights that I hide in shadowy places when vandals are lurking and burst out screaming gibberish just as they approach just for some cheap laughs.

Almost had the same experience but I was going off an exit ramp and the back of my car started coming around, a tap of the brakes stupidly and I went off the hill and flipped my explorer 1 and a half times and landed on my roof. Came out without a scratch though, seat belt held me nice and tight. Totaled my first car though

Most of my scary experiences involve me and the city bus, I hate the bus. I can't think of anything specific at the moment but they're more uncomfortable situations more so than scary.

I was very drunk last night... I got pulled over 2 blocks from the bar. I had a bottle of vodka in my passenger seat. I got a warning. Scariest 15 minutes now that I think about it... during the stop, I was just drunk, so was like, "whatever."

Next morning though... scary shit: like this.

I had someone break into my house in the middle of the night. Thankfully he wasn't armed and left in rather a hurry by hurling himself face first over the front gate. Into the road. Which made me feel much better

My niece was drowning in a pool and nobody knew until I noticed she was nowhere in sight. I pulled her out and she was okay after coughing up some water, thankfully.

Scariest thing in my life probably. I hate pools.

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

There have been plenty of times in my life where I just felt absolutely scared, but I think the most prominent memory I have would be the time that I went caving with my older brother and his friend.

I probably was about 11 or 12 years old, so it's been a while, but the memory is still pretty vivid. The three of us got to go exploring in a cave that was near a campsite that we were staying at. There were only two flashlights between the three of us. I got to hold one and my older brother got to hold the other one, and his friend trailed in the middle of us. Once we got into the middle of the cave, my brother tells me that it would be better that his friend holds the flashlight, so I hand it over to him. Next thing I know, I hear him say "Okay let's go!" and they both rush past me, leaving me in the dark. Alone. And scared. I couldn't see anything. I started crying, and hyperventilating too. There was a group that wasn't too far behind us, so when they saw me there, they brought me to the entrance of the cave where my dad was, and made sure that I was alright.

My brother got in major trouble for doing that to me.

I had a pretty scary experience when I was but a wee lad. I was inside of a Canadian barn, on a Canadian ranch, in Denver, Colorado, when somebody; a terrorist, probably Muslim; threw a Molotov cocktail through a window, starting a very Canadian-style fire. Luckily, my Canadian rough collie, Lassie, had a job at the local fire department, and managed to put out the fire before I got hurt. Needless, it was the most frightening experience of my life, but I sure as hell did love that dog of mine, and she was delicious.

Wow... so many people have nearly drowned... actually thinking about it, I almost did too, although I was a strong swimmer. I was at a watersports thing when I was about 10, which was a summer activity run by the local sports centre. We were on a banana boat which capsised. It was going pretty fast, so we went down a bit far, but were wearing buoyancy aids so we wouldn't drown. Irony is that some little shit was panicing and kicking me back down as I tried to reach the surface. I remember reaching the surface gasping so much that it felt like I couldn't get enough air to reoxygenate my body!

The most scary experience, though, was when I almost killed myself on a bike when I was about 9. It was a rainy day and I was coming back from a bike ride with my friends. We were walking over one of those bridges which go over a road. My breaks were a bit dodgey so I insited on walking down the slope with my bike, but my friends mum said that is would be OK if I pump my breaks. So I rode down, pumping the breaks, but they wouldn't slow me down. I went hurtling down full speed, into a ditch, narrowly missing my head on a clay pipe by a couple of inches. Thankfully no bones were broken, but I was very bruised and sore, and I was in a lot of shock!

I've never been much of a cycling fan since, although I do strangely love motorbikes!

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

I've been in a couple of scary situations but I never really felt the fear from it.

The one that sticks out most in my memory is a night a few years back when I had my old car. I was leaving work and the way the parking lot was set up then, there was an enter only next to an exit only across a dangerous intersection. So I was just entering the exit lane which had curbs on either side when this car comes flying up the road and enters the exit-only lane and nearly slams me head on. If I had been driving just one mile faster I would have been hit; I had just enough space to pull to the side and avoid getting smashed by the other car.

And the occupants of this reckless vehicle? It was a carload of drunk/stoned teenagers. They flipped me off on the way by, too. Assholes.

when i was like 5 our house caught on fire. my family was asleep. and i kept feeling this very calming touch on my shoulder, i knew i had to get up, cause something was wrong. I got up and noticed that the wall in the living room was on fire i ran to my parents room and woke them up. and they got me and my brother out of the house. if it hadnt been for that tap on the shoulder we'd all be charcoal. i've had the ability to hear and see the supernatural ever since.

i can also see signs of death. my cat died in the fire. he is the sign that someone in my family is going to die. i saw him the night before my Grandmothers death.

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

Here I thought my near drowning would be unique... ah well. I honestly can't describe the feeling much, I only really remember it from what my girlfriend told me about it. I guess I can't say whether or not I was scared at that moment, but I'm affraid to go near a frozen body of water now. Couple years back, I fell through some thin ice. Go ****in figure, entire damn lake, and I find the thin ice. But yeah. I guess I lost conciousness when I was under, I don't really remember what happened after falling in. After survivng it, not that big of a deal when I think back on it. I guess it's made me more cautious than scared, but that's all I got. I don't scare easy.

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

When I was younger, my nan and her sister used to take me and my brother to a camp-site in the summer. Nice, quiet place - not like your usual camp-site. Anywho, we met some other kids who were around our age. They'd brought along a pedal bike to fix up while they were there to take rides in the woods with, and along the Thames. Well, it didn't have breaks, so they put some on, and they worked perfectly fine on the flat road outside their tents.

Of course, someone then decides that it would be a good idea to take the thing to the top of the very steep hill at the back of the site, and ride it down. Of course, we picked the part at the top where when you came down, you'd fly out of the gate, and down the road - not into the fence. One of the boys went first because we were all too chicken-shit, and it was fine. Then my brother went, and he was fine. Then I went.

About halfway down the hill, the breaks must have went. Near the bottom of the hill before the road, I pumped the brakes and I wouldn't stop or slow down. I was going at some ridiculous speed, and I was pretty sure that just going over a pebble on the road would send me flying off the bike into a certain death.

How did I stop? Hah... I couldn't stop until the bike slowed down on it's own. This literally meant trying to keep on the straight road which lead to the entrance of the site, out onto a busy country road, up a pavement and down some path that lead to the Thames. I almost hit the barrier and a car as it turned into the camp-site, really bruised the lower regions going up the pavement (how the **** I managed to not fall off the bike when I went up it, I don't know), and then rode up on some grass to slow me down.

I remember falling off the bike, and just staring up at the sky through the trees, with my lungs burning from screaming, thanking God that I was alive. My friends had given chase, and had finally caught up to me, looking frightfully worried.

    Breaks and hills eh, Storm? I know I'll never do that again. xD;

yeah it did i was five but i remember it vividly. thus began my travel through the supernatural side of life.

Your experience on the train tracks sounds really scary!!!! i once had a freind to tell me to stay away from train tracks. Never found out why.

it's sad to see a sign of death, its usually something or someone you've lost and they stand or sit and stare at you and you know something bad is gonna happen. i know, i saw the sign before my grandmother died. i called my mom and told her that Nana was gonna pass. So we knew what to expect. my dad told people at the funeral about what i had seen and no one would talk to me at the funeral. they were afreid of me, i think

Somewhat related. Probably just coincidence, but the night before I found out about the last three family deaths I can remember, I've dreamt I murdered someone.

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

I have one that's quite silly. I was twelve at the time. I had just got off the bus, and was walking home. I chose to take the road that goes through a little piece of forest, it's really just 50 meters, you can even see the roof of the houses on my street from it. Anyway. Right before I enter the little piece of forest, a guy with some sort of gun and you know, those masks robbers stereotypically wear, I have no idea if there is a specific word for it in english, suddenly runs up against me along the road. When he sees me, he hurries into the shadows of the trees, and disappears. I just. STOPPED. And stared. I was so frightened. I thought that if I continued on, he'd shoot me or something. But still I walked on, convinced that I was gonna be dead any second now. I'm always out of the forest again, when ANOTHER robber-looking guy appears. I stop. He stops. He stares at me. Out from the woods comes the other guy. I'm so FREAKING scared. They take off their masks, young guys in their 18-20's perhaps. They said "Let's go somewhere else" and ran up into someones yard.
They were..roleplaying or something I suppose, but I was twelve and could really not tell at a distance if there were real weapons or not, yadayada. xD God I'm still wondering sometimes though, it was so..random.

They were..roleplaying or something I suppose, but I was twelve and could really not tell at a distance if there were real weapons or not, yadayada. xD God I'm still wondering sometimes though, it was so..random.
wow if i was in that situation i would FREAK out but not do anything silly...i would really think those "robbers" are something bad... and plus, they were in the forest so it would really convince me they were real robbers. this is another great one!

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

Every year there's at least one high stake football match where hooligans make a mess, last year two of the biggest city rivals played, one fought for the first place the other just to stay in the league. Security was tighter than usual for obvious reasons.

My college was closed that day since it's next to the stadium, so I went home earlier. To avoid the crowd I took a shortcut through the park, there were few guys siting on the bench but I didn't payed any attention to them. As I passed they suddenly stood up and approached me, they weren't a happy looking bunch to say the least. From what I can tell they were hooligans as the first thing they said to me "boy, which team you're supporting today, and you better have the right answer". I panicked, didn't know what to do. Neither one of them wore a jersey so I had 50:50 chance to guess the right team. The only problem was I was too afraid to say anything, wouldn't be the first one to get his ass kicked for such petty reason. As soon as he said "well boy, have you decided" a police officer speared. They were gone pretty fast and the police officer approached asking me were there any problems. I explained to him what happened and he offered to at least accompany me to the bus station.

Later on I couldn't help but to wonder what would happen if that police officer didn't appear. Well, I learned my lesson, that's the last time I'm going to college the same day derby's playing.

Today when I look back at it I'm surprised about my bravery though. STUPID bravery. I mean I just walked on. xD God so stupid. But they weren't real robbers just some teens playing around.

    Re: scary experiences?!!!

I just had a very recent experience. My friend and I were chilling at his house and he had a friend over. We played games, talking, having alot of fun. After that, we went to go eat dinner at mcdonalds, but there was a specific one i had to go to because it was close by somewhere. Later that evening it all went down to people banging on his windows with a voice shouting: "I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!".

We had to have all the lights off and we took to the ground. I have never been so scared, i took it ok but i was moments away from crying. Eventually the people left and then a few hours later they came back again and we had to repeat the process. The guy that was doing all the shouting threatened to shoot up the house. After his threats he said he was going to come back tomorrow night.

Since then, I feel like i'm in danger. Those guys haven't seen who I look like so I think i'll be ok, but I am a bit scared not just for myself but for my friends as well. I was afraid to leave the house at the time because those guys were around.

    Ok, so picture this.
Ol' Silver's just lazing around, enjoying his wonderful cold Tooheys Extra Dry when he realises he has finished it. He gets up, walks to the fridge, opens it...
    ...IT WAS EMPTY!
Not to worry he thinks, there should be some spares in the pantry. He checks it very thoroughly, his breathing getting faster and faster as he sends other pantry items flying.

    The shops have beer!
It is then that he notices that which chills him the most.
It is some time a little after 6:30pm Sunday - All the stores are closed. He screams.

One of the scariest things that has happened to me was when I was on a dual carriageway on my scooter, and I needed to be in the left lane. Do the relevent checks, flick my indicator on, have one last check as Im pulling over into the left lane and this ****ing wanker who must have been doing about 80 (I was speeding myself, tbf) flew right past me, he must have missed my mirror by a fraction of a milimeter, my bike wobbled like mad and I absolutely shat it. I would have been getting scraped up off the road for weeks had that been any closer. I was shaking from head to toe when i pulled into park. I was adamant I was NEVER getting back on it again. I was back on it again the next morning

Theres some right muppets on the roads.

its usually after 11 for me, when all the wines gone and the shop has shut. its most displeasing ]:

I've made some mad dashes at almost closing time though, its the only time I ever really run like my life depends on it xD
