I read the books and watched the movie. When wanting to know the story first the book is a must, considering how I feel it's going to become a classic like Harry Potter and all those other classics soon enough.

The movie in my opinion was great, it included everything necessary, yes.

But not epic.

Everything felt too rushed where I felt at certain parts could've been taken a lot slower.
Not as great as other movies, in my opinion.

I understand that in the movie that the poor districts are gun down poor and that the big guys/rich people are described as fancy looking in the book, but the way the movie contrasted the two was over done. The districts didn't feel like a real society as I was watching the movie, and the rich guys were overly colorful. Another thing they should've fixed on or taken real slow, so that the audience could get used to the setting a bit more.

But overall a great movie, for at least the storyline and action scenes kept it alive.
