Saw the film last night. It was a lot better than I expected but I felt a few things ruined the overall experience. Still I thought it was an excellent movie overall.

Spoiler:
The faceoff at the end was such a huge anticlimax. There was no proper build up to it either. It arrived and as soon as it did, it was over.

And the fact that two were allowed to survive also left a bitter taste in the mouth. It would have felt right to kill off the love interest to keep it grounded in reality(relative to its own universe), but the fact he was alive was a huge indicator that this was based off teen\young adult fiction. And the relationship between the two characters didnt feel organic, just forced.

Though being a huge BR fanatic, I would be overly critical so these criticisms should be taken with a pinch of salt. For those asking about BR, the film is far superior to the book but the book is still an enjoyable and informing dystopian fiction.
