He was in town for the Them Crooked Vultures concert (last night). I was just walking along the waterfront, next to the arena where the concert was going to start in a few hours. I look up, and John Paul ****ing Jones is walking towards me. I stare at him, and he notices. I say:

"John Paul Jones?!"

He nods, smiles, and extends a hand.

I take it, fumble out a "Hi!", and he carries on his way.

It all happened so fast, and I didn't get a photo or an autograph, but I met a ****ing member of Led Zeppelin!

BTW, best concert of my life.

At the music festival I went to just over a week ago. Details in my journal, which I consider a blog. I got their autographs. I'll take a photo of me holding it and put it in my journal/blog. I'm starting an autograph book, see.

It's interesting how (to a large extent) accents disappear when people sing. After speaking to Kasabian I was amazed just how English they sounded. Their accents are really thick, but Meighan sounds so ordinary when singing.

I had never made the Lord of the Rings connection. Then again, I just saw that trilogy a week ago. It makes sense.

28 Days Later is amazing, while 28 Weeks Later is awful. I couldn't sit through it.

I haven't been playing regular music for a while. When I am actively playing, it takes over my life, and I insist on practice all the time and such. I need to focus on school at the moment, but perhaps after I will get something together.

It is a basic type of rock music, yes. A lot of four-chord progressions, power chords, and arpeggios. Nothing too complicated or too hard. I was in a punk band for a while, but it didn't work out. Songs need soul.
