So I just got back from vacation in New Jersey, USA with my girlfriend and her parents. Her parents are huge Yankees fans and have a Yankees sign on the side of their family car, and a peace sign under it.

So we go to this parking place close to the boardwalk, and it's 5.00$. The guy that takes our money says, "Parking's 5.00$. Like the Yankees sign, don't like the peace sign", in the thickest New Jersey accent ever.

We go "oh but peace is always good", and his reply was "well you need war to get peace. That's what our president, Obama, doesn't understand, you need to have war at all times".

Hahahaha. Oh my god, man. We were like "okay well have a good day!" and parked. I can't stop thinking about that guy, so I had to tell you. Figured you might find it humorous.

Necessary in comparison to public forums. There's no difference in function between public and private sub-forums, except people are (more) accountable for what they write in a public forum.

I'm just questioning Rocky's SOLDIER thread where he basically lampoons the decision to make SOLDIER public. The way I see it, if SOLDIER has a legitimate (i.e. within forum rules, but also in terms of improving the forum for everyone) purpose, then why does it have to be private? So I say keep it public.

I don't like exclusivity and secrecy.
