Yeah, I guess seeing a tutorial can only get you so far. If they did, I'd be a hell of a lot better than I am now. GIMP is a nice free tool to use for stuff, but yeah, there's a lot of bs you have to do to mimic things you can do easier in Photoshop.

Oh man... I was hoping he'd be able to help a lady out. ^^; What kind of cheap tactics does he employ? I was talking to him one night, and he was working towards a LBP 2 trophy, where you had to be in build mode for a lot of hours. He had to keep pressing buttons, and he had been going for a loooong time (sorry about being so vague...this was a while back). ANYWAY~ He seemed to be putting in a lot of effort for the trophy, so he probably deserves a few "dirty tricks" every now and again.

Well, at least she had more coverage than ol' Fran had. Her cheeks were hanging out of her outfit (which was basically leather lingerie).

Awww~ That's prety cute. :3 Do you do that free-hand, or go with some kind of model? I know a few pixel artists who basically pretty up a base model. Still cute stuff though. ^^

Ah, I gotcha~ Still pretty good considering that you have to rely basically on luck for those rare drops. Best of luck to you for getting your 18th platty~! Heh, allow enough time to pass, and even the most menial of tasks don't seem so bad. ^^

Do you check out tutorials and stuff about text? Those could give you a nice idea about how to make it work. Personally, I like the subtle way you place your text. It's cool to me how it looks like the opacity is toned down so the background shows through, but still "solid" enough to where you can see the text *is looking at the banner in your signature* What I think it really cool is when people do the gradient look in text. I tried that in GIMP... It was a lot of damn work, and when I was finished, you could hardly tell I had done a gradient at all! :/ Haha. It would probably help if I had done a variety of colors rather than just different values of blue.

"Cheap" side of the force? What's that? I might have to take lessons from Fatey-poo if it's something that will benefit me as well.

Yeah, I like to give cred to peoples who make me stuffs. ^^ For one, it's just nice, and for two, it helps advertise a person's skill to other people who might be looking for an avy or a sig maker (or whatever else they might need graphics work done). Have you done other things besides avatars and banners? Any wallpapers or the like? I'm always changing my desktop wallpaper. I can't ever decide on something I'm completely satisfied with. ^^; Right now, I have this, but I'll probably wind up changing soon. Fickle, fickle me~

Wow. Only 2-3 days to fully complete the game... Not bad. How many plats are you up to now? And do you ever go back to play games that you've fully beaten?

Maybe I'll pick it up again one of these days, but for now, there's no real inspiration coming to me to make one. ^^; Your banner skills are good! I dig the style anyway, but it's good if you see room for self-improvement. ^^

When you say 'masked characters', the first thought that comes to my mind is Power Rangers for some reason. That might be a little too cheesy, and it'd be no fun being a PR by myself, but yeah, there's other masked characters I could look into. ^^ Ashe, eh? You'd get to wear a micro-miniskirt, and have to be careful not to drop anything on the ground. Srsly, how does she fight in that thing? I had to look up pics of Integra Hellsing. She does seem pretty darn serious, but has some pretty fabulous hair. :3

Heh, I never got into the games at all. My older bro played the hell out of Red though, and he was into collecting the cards. I don't know if he has any that's worth anything, but that would be kind of sweet if he did.

Oh nice. ^^ It'll be fun to create banners again, though my skills are really REALLY rusty, what little skills I did have at any rate. Ack~ I know. Fate's really got a nice style going. I really liked the sunflowers in his summer-themed banner. Must have taken ages to render though.

Well, if I was going to go as a human character, then yeah, I'd probably try and find someone I sort of had a similar look too. Problem is though, I can't think of anyone I look like. ^^; I think the easiest cosplay to do would be to buy a dark suit, add some kind of weapon and say that I was a Turk from FF VII. Easy and practical, since I could wear the suit to some important shindig or something.

I was really into the Pokemon anime when it aired on Saturday mornings when I was growing up. Then there got to be waaaay too many to keep up with....that and I simply grew out of it I still think Mew is just way too cute though. ^^

I saw the banner you did for that one member. :3 Glad he/she was still around to claim it and say thanks. ^^

I thought about trying to organize another contest, but I'm not the most organized person in the world, so it would probably be a lot of work to keep it all together. ^^; Plus, a lot of people who actually make graphics are pretty inactive. I dunno how many contestants we'd get, but it probably would be few in number. :/ I've entered 3 of the contests we had: A Halloween-themed contest (got second place~!), Christmas themed (I can't find the results on this one...), and a summer theme (mine is #2).

It's his ninja-ness that makes him appear different. He has to be tricky and stealthy like that to evade his enemies....and play pranks on his friends. xD

Aww.. Sucks to hear that you lost motivation, but after that stunt with the FF XIII-2 write-up they did to you, I'd be less than willing to write again myself...at least for a while. Hope you get your inspiration back soon though, just so you can keep your name in the game. ^^

Cheap is definitely better, but good luck trying to find a good price on anything in places like that. Even food is pretty pricey. Yeah, still no idea who I'd go as. ^^;

Maybe it was done so the console could appeal to the more mature gamers. The Wii doesn't have much in the way of "grittier games", but the market for casual/family friendly is huuuge, so they're probably not missing much.

They did sort of have that vibe to 'em, didn't they? I was thinking more like those one plant Pokemon. I can't think of the name... Been ages since I was even remotely interested in that series. ^^;

HellSparker doesn't seem to be a regular member, at least not on TFF, even so you went through the trouble to make him a sig which by the way looks great. It's not stretched as original image he gave, his name fits the background rather well, and it's perfect size for a sig. I'm not sure if HellSparker will end up liking it but you do have rep from me.

It's weird though. Here, after middle school, most people stop doing trick or treating themselves. They all think that "you're too old" and "you'll look strange" to the houseowners. So I don't see that much high school students out anymore in my area.

There's been a few sig requests in the art forum, but no one has really jumped on board to make 'em. We used to have banner contests around here too, before the girl who ran those decided to leave this place... It's the little things like that which make forums fun.

I'm not picky about which one I attend, just so long as I get to see crazy cosplayers and purchase some overpriced merch! Would you ever do something like cosplay? I don't know if I would, mostly because I don't have the patience or skill to make a costume, and I wouldn't know who I'd wanna go as either. ^^;

I think it did alright. It got a rerelease on the Wii at any rate, if that's any indication of...anything.

I just watched that one last night! Holy cow... I teared up a bit too. It was interesting to me how the time for the Petalars was so short and how they experience mere moments as lasting much longer. That was done pretty well, but I knew it would only end in tears... ;-;

That's perfect! I love the position of the character within the avy, and the bits of the red color in the background pick up well with the food that she's holding. :3 I'm glad you went with yellow as the color to help it pop. It looks great against the dark skin, and also yellow was the color theme present in Persona 4 (or so tv tropes tells me ) It fits on so many levels~ I don't really care for text in my avys, so this is great the way it is. ^^ Now I gotta start posting more so I can show it off~

Ah, andriasang is very good. That's the source that Siliconera and the Final Fantasy Wiki like to use quite a bit. They are indeed very fast. I wonder what it's like to report for a site like that? Having to attend/watch gaming announcements/conferences could be pretty cool. I wanna go to a place like PAX, ComicCon or something one of these days. Have you ever gone to a convention before?

GTA V already? Geez... I guess the fourth one was released quite a bit ago, so I suppose it's time for another release for Rockstar's flagship series. I wonder if they're ever going to make another Bully? It was interesting of what I played, and had a bit more structure to it than the GTA series (since it was set in a school and had a schedule to keep). Stuff like that keeps my head in the game.

I woke up at 10 a.m. in an effort to get my sleep schedule back on track (was so proud of myself~), but then at about 5 or so, I passed out and slept for like....3 hours? We'll see if that has any effect on whether I can get to bed at a decent hour or not tonight. Other than that, not too much else to say, but I'm doing alright. ^^

Oh, man. If you feel up to making it, I'd really like an avatar! The max size for an avatar on this site is 125 by 150, so if it's okay to work within that size of an area for ya, then that's the size I'll take. ^^ As for color, I love vibrant colors, so go crazy with whatever you think will stand out (I use TFF Dark). You don't have to do anything special to the render, just so long as you can see Chie's face and her jacket, I'll be happy. On the border, a simple outline will be fine.

If you decide to make one (and you totally don't have to), I will appreciate it very much! Hope I gave you enough information to go on. ^^

I didn't know Fate had Dark Souls. Last time I talked to him, he was really into playing a Rune Factory game. He linked me a vid of himself playing, and narrated a bit on what he was doing too. "so rainbow-ey~" Haha~. x3

Pretty disgusting way of learning a moral... :/ But it's good that you can pass on your experiences so perhaps other people will be wary of such things. I know that I'm definitely going to peruse through the game manuals before I buy a used game, kiddie or not (if there is one).

Siliconera is pretty good for me, since they like to report on RPGs and other games that don't get a lot of attention on more "mainstream" sites. I used to hit up Kotaku a lot, but with all the layout changes they did, I stopped caring for 'em.

Yeah, the steak really adds a lot to the appeal, imo. Yeah, Sailor Moon at the time it was first aired here in the States was pretty awesome. I still really like the character of Sailor Mercury. She had a good head on her shoulders, and seemed really sweet. ^^ Too bad once the show got more and more characters, she started to fade to the back... :/

Heh... I had a little mini-marathon of Persona 4 goodness this morning. :3 Can't wait for more episodes to come out, and I wonder if they'll get the original English voice cast for the characters when it gets dubbed? I'm glad they gave a bit of personality to the MC as well, but I don't mind the "blank slate" characters when I play games. It makes playing the game a bit more immersive, imo.

I am not sure why I'm waiting. I could walk to the mall and pick up a copy, but it would suck if I make the trip and it's sold out. That tends to happen around here. Took me 3 stores to finally track down a copy of Crisis Core when it first came out. Second-hand games have come to me in a variety of conditions. Mostly good, but some are a different matter entirely. One doesn't have a case (just an envelop type of thing...). Quite a few have no manuals, and one game doesn't work at all. I can't take that one back either because it was a Christmas gift, and I waited too long to get around to try and play it (it's Godhand, btw). The good experiences far outweigh the bad though, so I'm okay with it.

I'll have to go back and watch his Saint's Row review. Been meaning to hit up the site anyway. ^^ What's OTT? I'm drawing a blank as to what that stands for. Haha~ That's hilarious. xD Glad to hear it's more comical. Ridiculousness should be embraced in games, since they're a nice escapism tool. Yeah, that's pretty much it. So much to do, I get a little anxious about what I should do next. ^^;

Yeah, I can see how a lot of anime would seem the same after a while. A lot of shows I used to really enjoy seem that way to me now (Sailor Moon being the biggest offender). It was good for it's time though. ^^ As for my favorites now: Cowboy Bebop, most anything Studio Ghibli makes, a few Satoshi Kon films (namely Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers), Fruit's Basket, Peach Girl (it's fluff, but enjoyable fluff nonetheless! :3), and Escaflowne. I also catch a few abridged series on Youtube (mostly DragonBall Z and Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged). They're hilarious~! xD
