Haha, guitar hero looks freakin cool, I haven't played any of them, well, because I didn't feel like spending money on it, and none of my friends bought it, so, yeah. I don't know, it just doesn't seem like a franchise that will last very long, although, I have been wrong before. As for new Wii games, I am waiting for a new Metroid game, that should rock for the Wii, and it was mentioned in one of my other clubs but there is supposed to be a new RE game coming to the Wii, but not RE5 -_-;;. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, a game that (from what I got in the description I was given) runs along with the rest of the series, Code Veronica through RE4, I don't really know the specifics though, it just sounds cool, and with me being a RE fan, I was kinda all for it, especially with it all in RE4 shooting system. The Wii will rule all

Guitar Hero II would be sweeeeet. I love those games, i like most rhythm/dance/music games along those lines. They are such great party games, back in the day my friend i were hardcore DDR gods, having drunken dance offs, it was such a blast. Then i got introduced to Guitar Hero and that Karaoke game for the PS2 at my friend Lorenzo's house. He is LOADED, he has 4 big screen HD TVs, which we used for Halo LAN parties but he has just about every other good multiplayer game. Guitar Hero is SO fun and addicting, especially for head to head matches, the karaoke game as well. Get a few beers in you, have people line up to play, it's a party in itself. That's why i'm excited about the DK bongo game too.

I have heard about that RE game as well, though i dont much details about it. I hope the Wii gets a few more violent/mature games to help shake that "kiddy" idea that always been attached to nintendo and its consoles

Yeah, I agree all the way there man, I hate that Nintendo has been deemed the "kiddy console company" it kinda sucks. Oh well, does anyone know if any of the third party console accessory makers are going to make a chargeable Wii-mote? I haven't heard anything about it, and to be honest, I thought that the Wii was going to have a rechargeable Wii-mote :/ and from what I saw in a different thread, Twilight Princess plays better on Gamecube than on Wii, which, is kind of disappointing as well. Oh well, hopefully the Virtual console will solve all my woes.

the wii's controllers need batteries? First of all, I thought that Nintendo would make some money as it is selling new controlers to those gamers who find it hard to play with out some kind of potato chip or something in their hand. I can just see the grease making the remote slip.... and crash into the tv screen. But now, you have to buy replacement batteries? Well Someone tell me if someone makes rechargable ones and I just might buy the wii. Until then, No Wii for me.

Haha, speaking of people having their Wii-mote slip, I saw on G4 that some guy slung his Wii-mote so hard that the wrist strap broke and he cracked his 42" HDTV, and they showed another clip of some guy breaking his strap and the Wii-mote hitting the ceiling, but I honestly think that is peoples stupidity, your not supposed to fling the freakin thing. Oh well, I am pretty sure by the time I get a Wii, they will have rechargeable Wii-motes.

Haha that's hilarious! Yeah i'm hoping when i get mine it'll be the same way. Hopefully us patient people have the better deal here. I'm hoping to get mine in a few months so i'm not too worried. Still a few PS2 games i want to play, Rogue Galaxy which i am anxiously awaiting, is being released in January. I'm really getting pumped for the Wii though.

Did I miss anyone? If so post here quick because the cut off is Dec 6th which is coming right up. Anyhow I think that we will give all the members of this club the oppurtunity to vote on a signature that they like best (even those that are creating their sigs.) I am going to participate in making a sig but I will exclude myself from the contest because I think the easiest way to do this is to have people send me a PM of the sig they like best. Either that or we can just post our thoughts on the board if none of the contestants are against that.

Anyhow get posting if you want to join and either send me a PM or post any ideas that you have on how to make this activity a success.

I would also like to throw in my amazement on the flinging of Wii remotes. People must really get into their nintendo when it is interactive. I remember my little sister really making the controller jump when she use to play mario (I think that people have been moving the controller in an effort to get the object on the screen to move for years) and am excited that now she will have a reason to do it.

Sounds good about the sig contest...just a few days away everyone. Still have some ideas being thrown around in my head.

That is crazy about the Wii mote being flung. I used to have such a bad temper when i was little and i would throw controllers as hard as i could if i get pissed at a game. Needless to say my ps1 controller looks like a piece of crap with all the cords coming out and the frame busted.

Haha, I busted my PS2 controller recently after losing 8 times in a row with Mits in Soul Calibur, fck I hate slow characters, had to glue it back together -_-;; And about the sig contest, I will bring back the question/idea I had before, why don't we get mods to take part in the judging, I figure they would be a little less likely to play favorites than someone in the club, and maybe add a little balance, not saying I don't want to take place in judging Just a suggestion, anyways, 2 days til it starts. I just hope I can do what I plan on doing >.<;;. It will suck if I cant find the right stuff, or something goes wrong. Good luck everyone in the eve eve of the signature contest XD!

I used to break so many controllers, back in my sega genesis day and also before I was taking medication for some sort of anger problem I had then. anyway I used to throw my controller at the ground or wall with all my strength every time I lost a life or just about any minor thing. Looking back on it I wonder what I was hoping to acheive by doing that, maybe I thought the game would go easy on me if I showed it how angry I was.

I'm getting the Wii here in Australia in 2 days YAY!

Yeah you certainly must be pumped. You'll have to let everyone know how Wii Play is, it's been receiving good reviews from what i read, it's being released here in the us sometime in 2007. I'm counting down till i can mine..prob about 2 months or so.

Does anyone think the Wii will get a price drop anytime?

On a different note (since we are talking about controllers) I read recently in the game pro magazine that the PS3 Sixaxis controller "gets rougly 30 hours of battery life though there doesn't seem to be a way to swap out the battery once it's been exhasted." The article goes on to say "oh well - we officially entered the age of "disposable technology" with the Ipod anyway."

Still I was shocked! Who wants to replace the controller every 30 hours. Thats like 3 times in one 100 hour game. What do you guys think and have you heard anything else about this? Thanks goodness that the Wii controller atleast has replaceable batteries!

It still sucks having to replace batteries in the Wii mote at all. Oh I hope it comes with batteries or I won't be able to even play it when it is released in 5hours. That will sure suck, because I'm broke now. Why dosn't any of these new generation consoles have the sense to use todays in built battery technology. I mean Nintendo did with both their Gameboy Advance and DS. I mean it is going to be annoying having to get new batteries for Zelda every 15 hours in a game that likely has 50-100 hours gameplay. I guess we are all going to have to start stockpiling batteries and here I was thinking that the age of batteries was about to be over

Yeah, I started on my banner but quit for today, I didn't hear about the "replaceable" controllers, that is pretty screwed, but I still think they should have done what they did for the SP and DS, completely built in recharging system. I think it was pretty retarded on their part to force people to buy batteries for this...

Okay my Wii has arrived fellow Miyamoto worshippers and so far it is absolutely awsome, So get some idea of what it is like, read my review of Wii Sports in this thread.

I'm actually surprised how cool the Wiimote is, it's actually better then imagined, it's smaller and feels really comfortable to use. The console itself is incredibly small, think of three DVD cases stacked on each other, that is how big it is. The discs are now the same size as PS2 ones again, but the way they go into the Wii is really cool. What you so is you hold the disc upto this rectangular panel and the console grab it off you and pulls it inside. You really have to see it to understand how cool it looks. The graphics appear not much better then the Gamecube so far, but then again I've only got Wii Sports and Zelda, which is a copy of a Gamecube game anyway, so I havn't seen what the graphics are capable of yet. In my opinion though the Wiimote and the interesting and original games it will allow you to play is much better then graphics anyway.

The Wiimote is really fun to play with and it works spot on for all the games on Wii Sports.

Anyone else got their Wiis yet and have stories to tell?

A set of batteries come with each remote, but it will be a good ideas to buy a couple extra in advance. One thing I've noticed is that there dosn't seem to be any way to turn the rumble and speaker features off. It should be an option to save batteries. Oh well still an awsome console anyway.

I've been playing Zelda for a good few hours now and it looks really cool, it appears that on this one link's alternate form is a wolf, like it was adult link on OoT and four different races on MM. The Wiimote works well on the game although I'm a little disapointed that the swinging of the Wiimote, dosn't determine the way link swings his sword.

I'd actually like to join this club. Since I first joined TFF 12 months ago, no clubs have really interested me but I must say throughout the Sony, and Microsoft hype of the past decade for the PS, and the past few years for the XBOX... Nintendo has always been my favorite.

Nintendo develops a different type of kind. Not necessarily better, but never worse. The games appeal to a different type of gamer.. one that prefers to envelope him or herself in a epic story, or a classic reborn such as Mario. It's almost hard to explain, but we all know what it means.

I too think the SNES was one of the best systems made to date. If given a choice between an SNES and PS1 or PS2... I'd go for the SNES without a second thought. The games are beyond words. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Starfox, Breath of Fire... and of course Zombies ate my Neighbors! Lol... kidding.

Before I get off on a tangent, I'd just like to submit that I'd love to join and hopefully contribute some good articles. Thanks!

I can'r tell you much about Red Steel because I havn't played it but I've heard it's a FPS where in one hand, the Nunchuku hand you hold a gun and in the other hand you hold a sword which you control with the Wiimote, sounds very cool and although I don't really like FPS anymore, this may be different enough to get me interested again. Zelda I'm planning on writing a review for soon, but I can't tell you much yet because I've only just started playing it myself. Basically it's just like another quality Zelda title on par with the N64 versions, but this Zelda game actually has a storyline, a very strange and twisted storyline and you control your sword with the Wiimote. But the controlling of the sword isn't as cool as it sounds, link still only has moves like stab, verticle slash and horizontal slash and it dosn't matter which way you flick the Wiimote. So far I've gotten the item from the first dungeon and it is really cool, think of the boomerang from OoT and imagine it creating awsome looking tornado as it spins back to you, plus you can create a path for the boomerang to follow, through several enemies at once if you want. Marvel Alliance I havn't heard anything about.

Merry Christmas when your get you Wii Gerodanuk, Why do you have to wait to play it?

Welcome Hellbred! I have to say now that we a professional graphics artist in here, all the rest of us are out of commission if he decides to submit a sig!

Anyhoo, if anyone is following No More Heroes for the Wii, IGN recently had an interview on the game. http://wii.ign.com/articles/749/749899p1.html
It's looking great, what do people think of this game? I for one haven't ever played Killer 7 so i really have no experience with the team's games. The screenshots make the game look very promising though.

Thought this was funny too describing all the accidents involving the Wii's controller

Hm, I have been working on my banner all day, and I am not too upset about how it turned out, where do we "turn it in" at, or what, I kind of forgot to ask earlier. As for that game, I never did like the Cel-Shaded look, which Killer 7 sported to t3h max. I never even gave that game a second look, but I heard it was a good game. Anywho, Anyone else worked on their sigs, or have any clue what to do with this thing, haha.

    P.S. Welcome hellbred
