When I joined the club back on page 22 of this thread, this was my membership request:

Hello members of the Bleach club.
I have recently begun watching Bleach, and have found it to be a most enjoyable series. I enjoy to the point one might consider me a "fan". As such, I would like to petition for my right to join the Bleach club here at TFF.

I did wait for acceptance into the club before posting again though.

I'm watching the japanese one. It's the only one i can download via internet. I also prefer it. It's the authentic thing & the voices are great.

About the fight Ichigo VS Kenpachi, it is indeed one of the best fights in the series. They get cut & cut & again cut. But when Zaraki is finally defeated, it seems that he's pierced Ichgo. And when he pulls out his swords, he must have sliced his body almost in half. But he gets healed....HOW??? That's a moufia.

When Zaraki fights against Ichinose Maki [the shinigami who went with the Bounto] , that's another fight you don't wanna miss.

About joining the club...unless someone sort of "in charge" accepts them, you do need to wait for the Leader to accept you.

I agree its one of the best fights so far. I can see from reading the Manga many more amazing fights animated to come.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. My computer was crashed every time I tried to write up a post. Here I am now though, and I hope you all will forgive me.

First of all, Great Writer, welcome to the club. It's good to have you in.

Secondly, emoloz, I haven't accpeted you to join, and yet you have posted twice since you asked for acceptance. Not only that, but those posts have all been one line long. Yes, that really encourages me to let you join...if I'm half-asleep. Which I'm not. However, I wouldn't want to turn a bleach fan away, so I'll let you in. Just please add a bit more content to your posts.

You two will be in the 5th division.

Now, we have a mixture of people in this club emoloz. Some watch the fansubbed japanese version, some read the scanlated manga, and some watch the english version. There is no "rule" over what version you have to watch. Heck, if you're only able to keep current with the english manga I'll let you in. You just have to enjoy bleach.

And about Kenpachi, I really thought he had died after that fight. I was close to tears after that episode. Yachiru is so precious in it. ^_^ But I have to agree that it's one of the best fight scenes, along with the Ichigo vs. Byakuya fight. I think my favorite part is when Kenpachi takes off the eyepatch. Ichigo seemed really strong during that fight. I seriously thought Kenpachi would get him for a while though. XD

And now that you mention it, I haven't seen Kenpachi ever since that fight. Kind of sad, really.

When I was saying that Shadow should refrain from posting, I was meaning that once you make your first post saying you want to join it is a rule that you wait until you hear from the leader or co-leader that you are a member. Since clubs work in a different fashion than normal threads, it does require permission to post further in a club thread. Thus, you may not post in a club until said leader or co-leader approves you. And Emoloz broke that rule three times and spammed on top of that. I won't warn you out outright, since Xeim does not mind. However, I am give you a pre-warning for spamming and ignoring procedure. Spam again, regardless of what Xeim says and I will warn you. One sentence posts are unacceptable.

On to more pleasant matters then.

I remember seeing and hearing that Kenpachi fights the blind captain, so that is one other time that he fights. But aside from that I do not know anymore about him since I have not seen all of the episodes. Though Kenpachi is pretty cut up and beat up from his fight. I don't even know how he is not bleeding profusely like Ichigo. And Ichigo sliced his nose and under his eye. That had got to hurt or do something, though it did not look like it went too deep. And Kenpachi got a cut in on Ichigo for it as well. Though the strange thing during that moment, Kenpachi had his fist up like he was ready to punch Ichigo. However, nothing became up of it. They even devoted several frames to just his fist, it seems really strange to make something that was unused and put it there like it was significant in the fight.

And its good to see you around Xeim. I was beginning to wonder where you were. Though not a lot had been happening, so it is not too bad. Hope that your computer does not keep crashing on you.

I don't recall if I mentioned it. I think I did. But they are showing Bleach on during the week now. They are up to episode 15 tonight. They will be entering the Soul Society soon, again. Though it is very nice to be able to go back and look at the episodes again after everything that has happened. The one thing that really puzzled me was after Ichigo wounded the Menos Grande his spirit energy went out of control. Which ended up getting completely directed into his Zanpukto. Ichigo must have a massive amount of energy to have released so much and then still have even more to the point that he was like blow up. Though Ishida said that he was breaking down or something. The way they explained it and what actually happened seemed a little contradictory. Ichigo is just that untrained in spirit energy or something? Because that really does not happen anymore. When you release all of your energy you just pass out or whatever.

Bleach is one of my favourite Animes at the minute. I just think it has a simplistic plot that is quite the riveting story ^^

I hate to go back to the subject of emoloz, but if he spams again, I won't try to stop you from warning him Andro. I'm letting him into the club, but I'm not happy with the quality of his posts. If emoloz spams one more time I'll suspend them from the club for a day or so. I've never had to do this with anyone, but it is a "rule" I have in the club. If you spam three times I'll suspend you from club activity for a day or so. I won't count his "entry post" as one of his strikes, but I will count the other two. Now, off of that subject again, I don't wish emoloz to feel uncomfortable here.

Andromeda: I'm sorry it looked like I disappeared. I've been around, but with a severly buggy computer. I'm going to start typing everything up in WORD if it persists. XD I will be getting a new computer shortly, so that'll solve the problem!

WaterPrince: Sure you can join. Just try to keep your posts at least three lines long. XD

Looks like it's time for a new division again. I'll be keeping an eye out for worthy captains. ^_^

Now, back on the subject of bleach.

Well at that point Ichigo's spiritual powers weren't his own, so that may contribute to it. But also, now Ichigo's been trained. he knows how to control his spirit energy and his zanpukto. So I'm willing to bet that it's probably what you said Andromeda, that he was untrained, and perhaps amplified by the fact that he was using Rukia's spiritual powers at that point.

Kenpachi makes a few appearances here and there afterwards, but it's mostly in the "shinigami's cups." The last big scene he's gotten was his fight with Tousen like you mentioned. I was glad he didn't die though, I probably would've sobbed to death for Yachiru. She was so precious in that episode.....I've already said that though. Yachiru's kind of character just usually makes it into my favorites list. I'm too soft for my own good sometimes. XD

Just on a random note, I recently acquired some pretty neat pics via the internet, and I thought I'd share them with the club for fun. They appear to be from some sort of character profile book. I don't really know though, I just got them by accident when I downloaded one of the theme songs. XD I've got some more, but I didn't want to put too many up. XD

Those are pretty nice pictures, though they are a little small and loosey to work with for banners. Are there any higher quality images of those that would be more acclimated to being used? Because they are next front profiles of the characters, they would be perfect to use.

I guess about the Rukia's power could be true. But Rukia's powers are no where near that of Ichigo's powers. She might be strong, but I doubt her powers could have hurt that Menos Grande. And I don't think they would be enough to make Ishida strain and bleed so much just from the sheer overwhelming force.

It could have been that Rukia's powers were sort of like a cap. They just simply bottled up Ichigo's powers and once released from that restriction they were too much for Ichigo to handle. I doubt that it was that of a captain's level, but it was no doubt quite powerful at that point.

Kenpachi dying? That sounds like a hard to thing to imagine. He seems like the guy that you cut off his head his body would still be swinging at you. I know that would not happen, but Kenpachi seems like that sort of person. He is pretty crazy powerful and can take just about any injury. Though the cumilation of all of the attacks that Ichigo gave him was enough to knock him out. So I guess that is something to show that Kenpachi still mortal in the fashion that he is not invisible. But he is pretty huge, even without the rest he makes for an imposing figure.

I also have to agree that Kenpachi dying is something hard to fathom. He really would be the type to keep swinging if you cut his head off, haha.

Spoiler: What do you think of Ishida getting his powers back? Do you think he'll keep his word in not having anything to do with Ichigo and whatnot? Or do you think his father will let that slide somehow? And what do you think of the method used? It was kind of unorthodox if you ask me, but hey, it works. And I hope Ishida goes back with the group.

I think that he'll go back the group. Not only because he is one of the main characters of the series, but also because when things get messy with the Arrancar, especially when they get Inoue on their side, i don't think his "Quinci Pride" will let himdo nothing or fight alone, because either way, Inoue is done for.

Spoiler: His father, from his actions alone, seems like an a$$, but when the time comes, he will probably encourage Ishida to fight with Ichingo & the rest. It's not like he hates Shinigami in the traditional "Quinci way", the only bad thing about the Quinci & Shinigami is that they don't bring any money.

About Kenpachi dying....well, if he were to die, i have thought of two possible scenarios.

1) as some said, he'll continue fighting even if he's cut in half, but in the end he'll die.

2) he'll fight an awesome fight with very little cutting, mostlt deflecting & evading, and in the end, his opponent will beat him one-hit KO, without him being able to say more than : "you won, you bastard".

That could happen, because it requires someone very strong to kill Zaraki, so a stronger person would be able to wipe him out with one hit.

I don't know about any of you but, I can't see ANY captains of the Gotei 13 dying. Maybe the Squad One captain b/c of a plot to take over the Soul Society.

Spoiler: As with Zaraki, the only reason Ichigo won was because Zangetsu gave him assistance. Now, yes he did manage to cut him on his own, but he sorta lost anyways. In the end, it was a draw.

Anyone else that can do that, would most likely be Aizen or another enemy of the like.

Really, no preconceived ideas about possible captain deaths?

1 - Conspiracy, old age
(Former) 5 - Tousen turns on him. (Tousen is the only person immune to Aizen's power)
6 - Self sacrifice to save Rukia
11 - Lengthy battle against Aizen (Which is, of course, unwinnable)
12 - Uryu finally gets him
13 - Tuberculosis


I'm personally hoping for Ichigo's hollow to break free of control and go berserk, killing someone.

-edit- Imagine if Soul Society makes an all-out attack on Aizen. Just imagine how many of the characters would die. Aizen can take down several captains on his own.

Anyway, for your Bleach Rp, do you have to be a Shinigami? Its probably a stupid question but im just wondering and have a couple of characters in my head at the moment haha(not like psycho, as if i have conversations with people in my head ^^; )

Well, first off, I should say that these kind of questions belong in the OOC, but I'll answer it here anyway. Just put them in the OOC from now on.

Yes, you have to be a shinigami. I never said anything about people being limited to one character however, so if you REALLY WANT to not be a shinigami make a second character that isn't one. However, run the idea by me via pm or something before you fully develop it. I don't want things going offf to weird places.

However, in terms of staying within the storyline, I don't see how you'd NOT be a shinigami unless you want to join the villains... O_o which is perfectly fine.

And Andromeda: I do have higher quality version of those pics (I think) but I had to size them down so they'd fit on TFF. I suppose I could upload the other ones to photobucket and post the links or something here.....>.<

EDIT: the pics were scanned from a character profile book, and evendently didn't scan too well. They've got a weird sort of pixilated effect on them, so evidently I don't have a higher resolution. Sorry >.<

Oh...oh well no harm done. It was worth a try anyway. I'll keep an eye out for good Bleach pictures that I can use.

I guess that Zaraki could be killed in a single hit, though it is hard to imagine. It would definitely have to be someone very powerful to do that. Though it would be a little disappointing seeing him fall so quickly, since he enjoys fighting. He would probably have a long drawn out fight either way. It would just be a very unsatisfying ending for him to be done in with only one attack.

One thought though, the 13th Squad captain how can get a disease. He does not have a living body, so how can he gain a disease of the living world? He should not be able to have a disease like that. I would understand if he had a spirit world disease, but not a living world one. Not to mention that we can treat TB, so all they would have to do is go to the living world and just get the medicine required for it.

I think I could see the 12th Squad captain getting beat by Ishida eventually, though he would probably still run away as he probably would and did that last time. Though it would be hard to imagine that the Yamamoto would die. Its possible I would imagine, but I really wonder who is strong enough to do it, besides Aizen I guess. Though that is rather cheap that Aizen can just beat anyone because of his Zanpukto casting illusions on everyone. Only way to fact is blind folded.

I could only think Yamamoto dead only near the end of the series. Near the final fight against Aizen, with another couple of captains dead, like Komamura and Ukitake, who don't seem that "important"...bleh...

That way, with the main "pillar" of soul society gone, things would get real tight.. A couple of Shinigami deaths, or even more would boost up Ichigo's resolve. with that, he could even defeat Aizen, no matter how fantasy-like would the battle be.

Spoiler: About that fight...i just thought of a possible turnover in the story. Inoue, who has already gone to the other side, manages to steal the Hougyoku from Aizen, gives it to the "good guys" and then, he gets beaten like a n00b. But i doubt that Aizen will be deceived so easily.

In response to Andromeda, I'm fairly positive the 13th captain has TB or some other disease. Fairly sure it's TB though. He's been laid-over due to illness in several episodes. He does seem to go through fairly long periods where he seems to be in functional health though.

And I guess shinigami can catch diseases by the same logic that they bleed when cut.

Yeah, he has TB. Though you'd think that he'd get medicine for it by now, since it's treatable. But oh well, I guess it's a plot device or some sort of weakness for him. But I like Ukitake, he's cool.

Well what they bleed is not really blood but just an imitation of the real thing. Its not as thoug they have real bodies. It is just some sort of spirit substance, the wiki said what it was. Its like extoplasma or something. Either way, it simulates the real thing, but it is not. I mean, you can take stabs to the heart, be cut from shoulder to stomach and still live. Its pretty obvious that you do not have real organs, even though similar purposes. You have a place for food to go that you eat, and blood still pours out of you. It pretty much is more representation of what you have taken in damage to your soul more so than the body. At least I would think.

And according to I think Bleach Portal, the 13th Captain is supposed to be one of the most powerful and oldest shinigami because he was trained by Yamamoto directly. Though because of his illness he is not nearly as powerful as he can be. And he has a thing for sweets, which in Shinigami Cups he hands off to Hitsugaya at least once which is really cute.

Cloudy you are not marking out spoilers again. I don't know who Inoue is, unless its is Orihime, but it is definitely revealing to things that have not happened yet. Thankfully it is not that much, but it is more than I wanted to know.

I have noticed that most hollow-related concepts in bleach are named in Spanish (en espanol).

Things such as:
Hueco Mundo, Menos Grande, Negacion fields, Cero blasts, Arrancar, the Arrancar ranks (Espada, Numero, Privaron, Exequia), and many hollow/arrancar abilities.

Also, several Hollow abilities are named after parts of the body. One such ability is Garganta (Throat), which is the ability to rip open the fabric of space and travel to and from Hueco Mundo.

This ties in with the eventual reveal from Urahara that Chad's powers are more akin to those of Hollows. They are body part themed, armor/body modification rather than a weapon, and have Spanish names.

I meant to post a lot sooner, but I got distracted by one thing or another. Either way, I saw Saturday's episode of Bleach. Not a lot happened, though the fight is over so I did not expect a lot to happen. And it seems that after every important character fight they have to do a flashback episode going into the depth of the character that they just fought. They did it with Renji and now with Kenpachi.

Which is very nice, though a little annoying because it slows things down. But I like seeing what Kenpachi's past was like and the focus that they placed on him. The flashback was not as much as Renji's but it did connect Yachiru together with him. But what surprised me was the change that Kenpachi under went after battling Ichigo. I did not really think that he would change that much after the fight, since he was just viewing him as just another opponent. But he actually tries to his Zanpukto its name and wants to become stronger, etc. Which for Kenpachi, is a strange thing to hear. He is already really strong and crazy and wants to be even stronger. Though as you said before if Kenpachi learned his Zanpukto's name and gain his Shikai and Bankai, he would be a force to reckon with.

And then Ganju and Hanataro finally make it to Rukia. And Byukuya appears looking as superior and all mighty as ever. I also got to see the Vice-Captain of Squad 13 finally, even if it was in flashback images. And I know the reference now when they speak of him in the episode where Ichigo first fights Renji in the human world. And Yoruichi appears and we will be able to see her special trick, which everyone probably already knows about. So yeah, should be fun.

But Kenpachi doing a 180 it seems, I did not see that coming. Things will be strange. So do they do a flashback when Ichigo beats Byukuya of Byukuya's life?

There is indeed a flashback of some sort, explaining the reason why Byakuya adopted Rukia. But i won't say anything, in a spoiler or not. It's better if you watch that episode. Anyways, i wasn't expecting that from Byakuya, it's common plot in japanese anime, although it's almost impossible.But i don't remember the episode they did the flashback in.

About Kenpachi.....i think they are exaggerating with him. Ok, he's strong, he does want to get stronger & learn his Zanpukto's name & stuff, but that's as far as it should go. People like him don't have a change of heart that easily.

It's a bit too much, always having Kenpachi & Hitsugaya in the middle all the time.

I was watching episode 19 of Bleach, the one where Ichigo is down the shaft becoming a hollow or a shinigami. And Ginta the boy, the way he spoke to Ichigo about the final incrochment before becoming a hollow. It is obvious that he has seen it happen before, but it is almost as though he knows the pain of it as well. And it just be me reading too much into it, but there are still a lot of mysteries. Though they all seem to be quite familiar with the whole process.

They do certainly have unique strengths, being able to fight and see hollows and such. And Urahara says that Ururu can match up with a Shinigami, probably not a high level one, but it does mean that they are stronger than they look. Its unlikely that they are even as old as they look. I think one of the common theories was that they are mod souls, since Urahara did a few things with them. Though we cannot take the Bount Arc as strict canon, since it is just a filler arc not created by Tite Kubo.

Its hard to know what to make of them at times.

I don't want to give too much away because i don't watch the dubs so i am a bit unaware of where you all are in this sorta story so far.

On subject of the japanese version:

Spoiler: I enjoyed the filler episode about Hitsugaya playing soccer, it was fairly interesting, but one filler episode was enough. Now they're going to draw out the series with filler instead of giving us the storyline with random little fillers here and there. It's annoying...but of course I'll keep watching it. It's bleach after all. XD I just hope we move onto the next arc soon. Also, is it just me or does it seem like Ichigo's stepped down from main character? I mean, he's been out of the show for ages. O_o

How's about I present another battle scenerio since I can't think of a character equivalent and I'd like to get some conversation back in here.^^;

Matsumoto would obviously win against Renji's non-bankai self.
Her level is pretty close to bankai I would like to think, but maybe I'm biased against my favorite woman.

And also, Ichigo's not there because he's training. Why would they show training over and over again? It's boring. >.> It gives time for the other characters to shine. ^_^
