We aren't saying that it is impossible to have the coin land on its side. If we are dealing with a standard coin (which I am sure is meant) the outcomes would most likely round to Heads: 50.00%, Tails: 50.00%, Side: 0.00%. The probability of getting a standard coin to land on its side is so low, that it can basically be considered 0%. If you don't believe this, than try flipping a coin 1000 or more times and see if you get it to land on its side.
