Pretty much, but I can't do any harm since every time I do drink while depressed, it's always alone.
Besides, finding help for such things can't be instantly found as you'd like to believe. Unless someone has been there, known exactly how you feel, then it's near impossible for whatever advice they give to mean anything. Even then, many people while listening to such problems hear based on their own personal bias. Once someone places their own personal bias into the problem, any solution they give will not work.
However, like I said, alcohol helps me fall asleep faster. Usually, when depressed, I think about depressive things usually at night. So if I cut out the time between laying down and sleeping with the help of a very light dose of alcohol, then it is a very working solution indeed.
