    Favourite Alcoholic Beverage.

What's yer drink of choice folks?

If you don't drink it doesn't matter, you can still answer with cola.

I have been quite partial to whiskey in the past but these days I enjoy a good smithwicks, or a good beer (becks, tuborg, harp.etc.) ..cider very rarely. Wine is good but you look like a tool drinking it.

If I happen to be on antibiotics or if I'm designated driver, I'l just have an American beer.

CC and dry. Simple; does the job while looking mildly classy.

If it must be beer, I like the brews from local craft breweries. (Unless I'm poor, when I'll drink anything short of crappy tequila.) Such as:

    I'm partial to Pilsner.

EDIT: According to Wikipedia, CC and dry only exists in New Zealand and Australia. It's Canadian Club whiskey and ginger ale.

    Jack and coke, yummers!!!!!

Its great! i dont really get hang overs on the stuff, and i can drink ALOT of it... But have been known to black out on the stuff from time to time and come too in the back arse of nowhere with bloody shins (thats how i spent my new years)

I just dont like beer/cider anymore, just feel bloated on the stuff and i cant get drunk on the stuff...

Guinness is also nice but i cant have more than two pints, its like drinking a meal..

It all depends where I am at the time really. When I am back home in Ireland I drink Jamesons straight most of the time or have scotch and gingerale if I dont feel like getting pissed.

But it is hard to say no to the many really high quality and cheap brews that Germany, or Bavaria to be specific, specialise in. Its also quite hard to say no to 1 euro Jäger shots.

Stella Artois is my choice of beer. I rarely do drink anything stronger than beer, but when I do it's usually stock cola with lot's of ice.

    Re: Favourite Alcoholic Beverage.

I don't drink alot. Once in a good while at parties and stuff. But I'll answer anyway.

I can't stand beer. It's funny, though, because a few years ago, when this girl I worked with and liked invited me out one night, we drank alot of beer that night. Well, I did. She drank half of one and gave me the other half. :\ Anyway, yeah, I drank it no problem. But for some reason, after that night, I'll try to drink beer again and almost puke at the first drink. And no, I didn't get sick from that beer I drank, so that's not the reason.

I find what I prefer to drink these days is Bacardi Silver and similar stuff. I think that's really the only kind of stuff I can drink without getting nauseous after the first drink.

    Re: Favourite Alcoholic Beverage.

I usually only tend to drink cider, mainly Strongbow. I don't drink an awful amount because lets face it, I'm quite young and I've only just finished high school but I do drink with my friends and family occasionally. Or if I'm bored at home and there's cider or some sort of alco-pop in the fridge.

Vodka is gross, so I only drink that in shots. I can't drink it steadily with coke or anything like that, my mum tried me with it, but even the smallest amount to me just overpowers the whole drink and makes me feel sick.

I like the liquorice Sambuca, that's yummy. I had tequila at my best friend's birthday party, lime and salt and everything. It was actually quite fun but the drink itself was kinda nasty.

Lager's disgusting to me, too. Stella, Foster's, Carling, ugh. Nasty.

I'm a whiskey man. When I can afford it, Crown Royal is my preferred intoxicant. If I can't, Jack Daniels is a good second. If I can't afford that, Seagram's 7 Crown is pretty good too if I have a good chaser. Rockstar Punched works really well for that.

Generally Strongbow cider or any lagers available (unless I'm driving, then I stick religiously to softs).

I've recently developed a liking for Jagermeister, a sort of German herbal liqueur. It's good with orange juice, but better with Red Bull or something similar.

BEHOLD... Beer of the century. I forgot to mention it. It's another of my favourites. If you haven't tried it, make sure you do before you die, it's an experience not to be missed. 330ml, 8.5% VOL, PURE BEAUT.

After about 4 of these, your pretty drunk, after 8..... no comment.

My all time favourite drink is Jagermeister!!!! Jagerbombs are flipping awesome, as are Green Bastards.
I'm also a real ale fan, which I know could seem strange as I'm a girl. I love the Wychwood Brewery beers. Goliath is the best I've tried Yum!

Although I don't particularly like cider, I've become quite partial to the fruity/flavoured ones. Toffee apple Brothers is a recent discovery of mine. It's amazing!!

    Re: Favourite Alcoholic Beverage.

Being a poor college kid, my favorite drinks are Red Drank and the "good" four loko (before they took all the good stuff out of it ).

Red Drank = 2 liter Mt Dew - about 1/3 of the Mt Dew + red fruit punch kool aid packet + Hawkeye Vodka (cheapest strong vodka you can get at walmart). One container of this stuff can normally get me very happy the rest of the night. More then that, blackout time!

Normally I'll drink whatever, but I noticed that too much tequila in me has very odd side effects, like road construction cones in the trunks of people's cars randomly appear the next day, or a whole box of donuts that was previously not there are all opened and all over the living room of a friend's house.

When at the pub, Jimmy and cola, double shot of rum on the rocks, Carlton dry and other drinks I can pretty much consume indefinitely.

At home whatever good brand spirits are on sale, straight, sometimes refrigerated (depending on the drink), bottles of wine (preferably Pinot Noir). That aged Bundy rum tickled me alcobone if any of yers run into it. Also gotten into Absinthe a bit - straight, and I like mixing six shots into a vanilla thickshake from Maccas - tastes awesome and disgusts the crap outta my mate who can't do booze and dairy together. But I don't like/drink cola either!!!!! Am I still allowed to answer?

Seriously, I'm so plain Jane when it comes to beverages. I usually stick to water or sweet iced tea for pretty much any occasion. I've had Mike's Hard Lemonade suggested to me to try before, but haven't gotten around to doing it. I don't have a problem with alcoholic beverages, I just never really had the drive to try 'em.

I like my White Russians, though nobody makes them for me anymore, nor taught me how to make them

I like to shoot Jack and Jim. Everclear isn't bad either. I like the Smirnoff drinks... they're not quite beer, maybe cooler? I'm not sure how to generalize those.

I can stand Miller from time to time, but not often. I haven't had a beer I truly like.

    Cola.

I also like Cherry Coke, but it costs like $3 a can and I can only buy it from a specialty candy shop or the dvd shop. It's not popular enough in Australia to be sold at the supermarket.

I drank a little in high school. Just the vodka premixed drinks or a rum and coke. I hate beer. It doesn't taste good. Blah.

I don't drink anymore, just don't like it. It's no big deal! But everytime I tell someone I don't drink, their like 'you don't drink?!' I don't know why it's such a surprise for some people?

It's not a big deal, your normal Cherry coke is insane, LOVE the stuff! Dr. pepper a close second, incredible substance.

Anyone have vanilla coke? .. my god it is the nicest thing, the bastards at coca-cola only had it for a limited time, then stopped ..WHY!?

We have Vanilla Coke, but it isn't as popular as it used to be. It isn't sold alongside coke anymore. I've only seen it once in the past year, and someone said they got it from a random corner shop. I barely remember where they said they got it. But yes, we have it.

    Not sure why they stopped...

Anyway, I like my vodka drinks. Mostly Smirnoff. Or Vex mixed drinks. Those are what put me into the hospital. Since then I can only drink them slowly. Even then I still get a bit sick.

Rum. All things rum. Rum and Coke, Rum and Dr.Pepper....Yum. It tastes like vanilla coke to me. Mmmm.

Next is Crown Royal with the above soda's mentioned. Mmm.

I like Jack. But I can only have one shot. After that I'm done. The first time I had it, I was basically on the floor. That was a good night.

I'm not a fan of any kind of beer. They just taste horrible to me. Any kind of mixed drink will do me just fine. Except Gunniess. I like that, but it'd take me Forever to drink. I'll also drink Black Velvet if I'm in the mood.

I use to be a big bourbon drinker, but bad experience has forced me to feel sick even at the smell of it. My favourite drink now would be either gin and tonic or chambord. In terms of beer, I enjoy sol, carlton drought and peroni. If I was made to choose from those 3 I would probably pick Sol, I find it easier to drink more since it tends to be less carbonated than the other 2.

Not very partial to beer. There are some I like, but as a whole I prefer other drinks.

Vodka is good, namely Godaiva's chocolate vodka.

If I want to sleep soundly then Mikes Hard is the way to go. It's not strong, but still calms me down enough.

I guess it just depends on the occaision. If I'm feeling down, anything will do.

Pretty much, but I can't do any harm since every time I do drink while depressed, it's always alone.

Besides, finding help for such things can't be instantly found as you'd like to believe. Unless someone has been there, known exactly how you feel, then it's near impossible for whatever advice they give to mean anything. Even then, many people while listening to such problems hear based on their own personal bias. Once someone places their own personal bias into the problem, any solution they give will not work.

However, like I said, alcohol helps me fall asleep faster. Usually, when depressed, I think about depressive things usually at night. So if I cut out the time between laying down and sleeping with the help of a very light dose of alcohol, then it is a very working solution indeed.
