Alright i start... my is the plain o'll house chesse

I like to make up a mix with tuna, mayonnaise and onion put it on a sandwich with normal tasty block cheese and tomato and toast it mmmmmmmmm

I think it totally depends on the situation at hand.

For pizza, you've gotta go with Mozzarella (even better if fresh), and a little bit of Ricotta.

For grilled cheese sammiches and burgers, I always go American.
EDIT: Meier just reminded me about the glory of Pepper Jack

Anything Mexican, I go with sharp NY State cheddar.

As for just a little snack, I'm a fan of Manchego and Prosciutto on crackers, or mozzarella string cheese.

EDIT 2: It also varies for sandwiches. I'm a big fan of turkey, to the point where I try different types all the time.
Salsalito turkey goes great with pepper jack.
Honey maple turkey goes with muenster like nobody's business.
Oven roast turkey is always good with American

Salami works well with swiss.

Though, the best sandwich I've ever had was turkey, ham and a little bit of roast beef, american cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato on a kaiser roll/ hero bread. Phenominal.

Actually i have quite a few and I agree with Pete on this one, the sircumstance depends on the cheeze.

Hamburgers: American slice, pepperjack, cheddar with jalipinios
Mexican: I prefer a mild/ medium cheddar or a mix of many cheezes
Italian: Mozzarella
(There are alot more but I am to lazy to actually put them all right now)


I also like to eat cheeze by itself right off of the block. In most cases I would have to say a good sharp cheddar, swiss, a smoked guda, or even a plain guda. Actually I can eat Guda on just about anything; seeing it is my favorite cheeze of them all.

Me and my daughter likes to eat cheese off the block aswell lol, I have mozzarell on pizza, but the only other cheese I eat is mild chedder, I love it, and it has to feel soft aswell, I have brought some cheese before and its hard and crumbly I HATE that type of cheese.

I have been know to take down a Lb. of cheese in a matter of days. I like cheese on pretty much EVERYTHING!! I love cheese on toast, pizza, potatoes, salad, crackers,and on the side of ANY meal....whole, string, wheels, shredded.... YUM! My favorites are Munster (You are not a cheese luver until you have tried this cheese), cracker barrel extra sharp cheddar, and baby swiss. And cheese is spelled c-h-e-e-s-e <----r-e-s-p-e-c-t

Cheese is great! i think next week im going to go on a cheese and wine day with my mum!

I love Crackar barrel cheese always good. Goats curd is nice , Fetta but not the hard crumbly fetta the soft melt in your mouth fetta.

As for pizza boccocini is good on a vego pizza.

Go with a pesto base, tomato, roast caps, spanish onion and boccocini.
Oven.
pull out and make a rocket and salsa salad on top with a balsamic reduction swirled around the pizza. we made that at work and it was good.

I posted one of these waaaay back then. I'm a cheese addict, but seriously, for a cheese poll wheres all the great British cheeses? Well... I'm guessing "house cheese" is cheddar, but still...

My favorite cheeses are:
Red Leicester- has a savoury yet sweet flavour and a nice texture.
Double Gloucester- very flavourful and slightly buttery.
Cheddar- traditional and delicious. A good all-rounder.
Cheshire- a rich flavour, quite crumbly.
Wensleydale- good old Wallace and Gromit cheese! Its got quite a different taste and texture.
Brie- nice and creamy. Great in a sarnie with salad and chorizo. I like cornish brie, but French is my favorite.
Edam- so dangerously easy to eat!
Mexicano- chillis and cheese put together? Genius!
Feta- the best cheese for salad. Moist and distinctive.
Mozzerella- good old pizza cheese. Brilliant to add to food or grill for its meltable sltringyness.
Parmesan- I only eat this with bolognaise. I have never eaten it on its own before.

I love to eat cheese on its own, but I also like to eat it on toast or on pasta. I've actually been thinking of making a cheese cookbook!

My favorite cheese is any cheese that I cut. Get it? I CUT the CHEESE. You know... like a fart? Because farts are funny. As in, you're trying to have a serious discussion about cheese, and I'm over here talkin' about farting, using an ingenious pun to make sure that I'm still relevant to the discussion. My goodness, I'm ridiculous.

I'm a Wisconsinite. The mere thought of good Wisconsin cheddar cheese gives me an erection (where's the swiss cheese amirite guys?). There's a shop about 30 minutes away from me called the Mars Cheese Castle, and they have some great stuff, including this really cool chocolate cheese.

My favorite cheese to eat as... cheese, would be codswald.

It's a sharp English cheddar with chives, and it's fkin amazing.

My favorite creamy type cheese would be boursin, a french spreadable cheese with garlic, chives, and other herbs. Goes great on eggs, or beaten with cream cheese on a toasted bagel, or piped on poached vegetables, ect.

My favorite for pastas would be a nice hard aged freshly grated asiago.

For sandwhiches, like cold roast beef, or turkey, would be cheddar, followed by swiss.

For pizzas, provel, cooked in a hot oven so it browns and "caramelizes"

For burgers and grilled cheese... good old fashioned American.

The kind I like isn't on the poll. But it's good ol italian provolone. I use it for sandwhiches of course.I do like Mozzarella too,mom uses it for cooking lasagna,stuffed peppers,chicken parm,etc.

I tend to like most cheese, and I go from one favourite to another fairly fast.
At the moment I get urges for a good bit of Parmesan cheese and some Dutch Edam. A week or so it was Camembert and Brie...

Yeah, few cheeses I haven't liked.
