Yay, I just got back from Anime Weekend Atlanta with Cloud and some buddies. Fun stuff, very fun stuff. Saw the third Hellsing OVA and the Bleach movie, among other things. Quick but pleasant trip.

The rules Andromeda enforces don't say "You can only display your sig if it's under so many characters." We need to set an example for the nooblets.

Ok I need to go over a few things that seem like are being ignored. I know everyone is really excited that the RP actually started back up but there are some problems. One of the biggest problems is people not reading the post. In a previous post I made when we were getting attacked by the villagers I mentioned that I heard an explosion and a women screaming. . . Do you already see a problem here? There should be mass panic going on everywhere but people are kind of just prancing around without a care in the world. OUR CITY IS UNDER ATTACK!!!! Lol, come on guys everything should of just dropped. Ice-cream should have been flying everywhere ninjas should be on their way to the explosion but we got people not doing that. It really discouraged me on my post and had me question whether or not I did the right thing with my attack.
Second. The freaking “sigs” Need To Be Turned Off no matter how small they are. People we are forgetting a lot about the rules in the role playing thread. And some are even forgetting the rules that I made in my first post in the OOC forums. Two paragraphs minimal, I don’t care if they are small as long as they fit. Having your character say a sentence, then another character say a different sentence is NOT two paragraphs. A lot of you are also forgetting that you are Genin. Bleach Girl you are doing an amazing job honestly. I mean a few things in your last post could have been better (people running in the streets instead of empty ones) but over all good. Zavior and Seraph you have to realize that you two are genin. No one in this RP can be a Naruto, Sasuke, or Gara like character. Im going to let you leave your post about killing the ninja they way you did but lets be reasonable for just a second… you just killed someone who was sent to destroy a village. Their powers are probably a little higher then you think, and I just don’t think it would seem logical that you killed him without him beating you up a bit or even touching you.
Now I know a lot of people are probably thinking that if they cant fight they wont be able to take part in the role play. That is not what I am saying one bit. I just want you guys to realize your level and to realize that you should be getting bullied around, beat up, stomped on, and then saved lol or develop a plan like. Well sorry for the rant but people, I know we are excited but let us just stop, think, and write before we post. If it takes you a few days to think up a great amazing post, give that time to yourself to write it.
Sorry if I seem harsh I just want our RP to stand out as an example to others, and the way we have been doing is not that great. Get the sigs taken care of, and lets all start reading each others posts. This thing that is happening right now requires us all to know what’s going on. LETS DO THIS !!

In fact, Cloud and I spoke on the phone about a large portion of this before he posted.
With that having been said, here is what is happening:
The village of Konoha is under a large, possibly full-scale attack. Think about when Orochimaru attacked Konoha during the Chunin exams and use that as a possible reference. At this point in the roleplay every character involved is going to be assumed to be on the same page chronologically. Everyone heard the explosion Cloud mentioned, everyone has heard the panic and the screams. It's okay if you haven't heard specifically that there is an attack yet, but everyone's characters should know that bad things are happening.
I want to elaborate a bit on what Cloud said in regards to strength and fighting during this attack. Him and I were discussing the situation, namely in reference to Zavior's post. There are two groups in this RP, the now-Jounin that were here before the revival, and the Genin that have recently joined to help revive it. Now, the five or so of us Jounin can't sit here and tell the rest of the RPers to just sit on their hands while this attack happens, as that excludes you from the RP and it simply defeats the purpose.
On the other hand, we have to keep in mind some important things. An enemy would not send a mass of Genin to attack a village, especially not on such a grand scale. (Sure, Genin would be present probably, but I'm makin a point here). With that in mind, the Genin characters of this RP cannot expect to fair well in 1 on 1 combat with these invaders. I'm not saying you can't try, I'm not saying you can't win. I'm just saying be mindful and creative. Genin are in squads for a reason, to help each other. Although one Genin can't combat a Chunin or Jounin effectively, two or three probably can.
Are you picking up on what I'm saying? It might be kinda cool (and fun) if all the Genin sort of banded together to do some ass-kicking. That way no one person is looking like a little Itachi rolling around owning everything with no trouble regardless of experience.
Now, if you guys want to have some 1 on 1 fights, that's fine. Just give it some substance. Don't make it look like it was easy. As long as something is well-written and thought out, I'm going to like it regardless of the content.
If anyone ever has any questions as to what would be considered too powerful or too extravagent in their posts, please feel free to ask me. This is a very combat-based RP and everyone should feel comfortable with controlling their character within somewhat realistic limits.
Other than that, good job guys. We're not bitching you out here, we're just providing some strong suggestions as to what we all need to keep in mind in the future to make this a truly fantastic roleplay.
Is it possible for my character, Jardoon and Akira to hear the explosion when they find each other? or can I just say that Sutoomu has very well built sound proof walls?
Yeah, I want to get in some action, I'm a pretty handy genin, I guess that I will come up with a good plan with Bleachfangirl and vivi. I was thinking maybe me and bleach take on somebody while vivi takes on someone else.

Vivi, go ahead and do whatever you need to do to make it work. Make up whatever little backstory ya need, it doesn't matter as long as you all know what's going on now in character.

I really have a hard time seeing the problem with a genin killing one guy. I mean , the chunin exams were a prime example of this. The ninja invading during that time were actually pretty weak. Shikamaru, while being highly skilled, had very little chakra and still managed to get several of the invading ninja in his technique. When i saw Cloud take on six at once, I assumed that the first wave(for lack of better words) was simply chakra fodder. And I do apoligize for my character's level; I was under the assumption that he wasn't simply a Sakutard. From now on I will be sure to power him down. Oh yeah, I removed the post for ya.

Zavior, the only problem I had with your post was that your character killed the guy so easily. I could see if he was a Jounin or even a Chunin and he had done that, but that just didn't sit well with me. After hearing your assumption that makes more sense, and I'm less bothered by it because you had reasoning behind it.
You bring up a very good point though with the chakra fodder, and it's something I need to address so that confusion doesn't arise in the future.
There are typically three types of fights in this RP setting. I'm gonna go ahead and break them down so you all know what to expect from each one when reading posts or making posts of your own.
1) The first type of fight is purely plot-driven. It's the fight between your character and non player characters that is sheerly to advance your post or the plot. Cloud's post where Sierh killed 6 invading shinobi was this kind of fight. Details regarding the fight such as opponent strength and personal injuries sustained are ignored because the fight is simply used as a catalyst to let everyone know that the invasion is underway and that we're really being attacked now. You see what I mean?
2) The second type of fight is also a fight between your character and a non player character, but it is for the purpose of demonstrating the character's abilities and growth. A prime example of this would be if your character was training with a non player character such as say Hinata or someone else. The fight is more drawn out and in greater detail because that's what you're focusing on. The opponent isn't simply "chakra fodder" to advance the plot of the RP, it's to develop your character's strength and persona.
3) The third type of fight is the player vs. player fight, like Um vs. Akira a few posts back. This fight is obviously the most detailed because it is through these details that injuries are sustained and victory is acheived. Also this is typically the only type of fight that you'd see take up more than one post (because it's not just you posting it). Like the second type of fight, this one is used for developing your character's strengths and personas with the added excitement of a sentient combatant.
Now that I've explained those scenarios, let me suggest something...
Genin of the RP, I'd really prefer if you only engaged in the 2nd and 3rd types of fights. The reason for this is simply because every fight you're in should somehow contribute to your character's skill and experience, right? Well if it's not an actual, drawn-out fight, how are we to know how the character has grown? Engaging in the 2nd and 3rd types of fights will help you develop your character while allowing you to show off your talents and creativity.
The reason I don't really want you doing the 1st type of fight is simply because you aren't running the plot, which is generally what that type of fight is used for. These fights are meant to be conceived as quick and easy, and they do not need to be explained.
Also, the 1st type of fight is used to eliminate a large number of lower-power NPC's quickly. Now, if a Genin was assasinating a civilian, or attacking someone that we know to be of lower power, this type of fight would be acceptable because we don't need you to go on for three paragraphs about how you slit somebody's throat when that somebody isn't even important or of any consequence. So there are some circumstances where you can go ahead and "kill someone off" really quickly, but I'd just like everyone that is a lower rank to be careful and thoughtful when using this device.
So yeah, basically I would like you Genin to use all of your combat posts as tools to actually grow your characters' skills. It's not simply because I'm a Jounin and I can do what I want like kill 6 men in 6 seconds, it's because we're using combat and fights as devices within the RP, not simply entertainment.

Communication is key. If you're not sure how you want to go about a particular scenario with your character, run it by us here in the OOC. That's what it's here for.

That is fine, actually it is perfect. Grouping up with several other genin will give you guys the upper hand. And it can also be used for a plot that I am developing in my head. I would suggest you do that and get as many people as you can in your grp because i talked to lethal about whati have planned and its good.
So, I'm going to team up with Jordoon. Now that I know what's going down, Jordon, ignore that message. I'm thinking it's really dumb now.
I'll wait for Vivi to post before I do. Vivi, try telling your genin what to do and we'll follow you. Cid, I'll fight with you. We can be a team of crazy genin!!!
Cloud, really sorry about that. I forget those kinds of elements adn jsut go with whatever. I'll go and add some setting into that last post. And about the explosion, I just ignored it since me and Um were fighting and already making lots of our own noises. I'm not going to add that in since I don't know how that would help.

Seraph was removed from this roleplay at ACloudintheSky's discretion. It wasn't simply because we hate the guy (we don't), there was a bit more to it. Seraph did not quite agree with the way Cloud and I wanted to do things in this roleplay and mainly had a disagreement with how we felt characters' power levels should be regulated.
There's nothing wrong with that, but since he did not agree, he was told to leave in the best interests of the roleplay.
THERE WILL BE NO MORE POSTS REGARDING THIS MATTER IN THIS OOC THREAD (Aside from Cloud's if he decides to explain it further). IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS REGARDING SERAPH'S REMOVAL THEN YOU CAN PM ME OR CLOUD.

(Oh and Cid, you mentioned something about the attackers being from the Mist Village in your post. That's not accurate. I personally don't know who the attackers are because Cloud hasn't specified that to me, but they definitely aren't from the Village Hidden in the Mist. No need to edit or anything, it just caught my eye.)
