Now that you mention it, I totally read that in her voice. I'm doing okay, though nothing really exciting going on around these parts. It's getting warmer though, which is nice after the cold front that came in a few days ago.

    :/

I'm sorry to hear that. Hasn't she gone through enough as it is? Does the bad news involve her dad at all?

I'm not going to make any profound pronouncements. Gbabgo is still held in the hotel in which he was captured. And he wasn't exactly commanding an army. He had (armed) people in support of him, fighting (armed) people in support of Ouattara. They never had competent military leadership.

As it stands, this changes little. But I'm willing to be proven wrong. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Yeah, the Nats game was a hard loss. Of course Laynce Nix of all people would kill us. He does absolutely nothing 99% of the time, and then he'll go and get that one crushing hit against us.

Todays game was all shades of ridiculous. The stadium was a ghost town, but we sat in the first row, in between the tarp and Rockies dugout. I wasn't shocked about the loss, but Izzy's return was awesome to see. My friend, his brother and I gave him a standing ovation when he ran in from the pen.

dont worry, if you type in the Konami Code while the cutscene is playing, you see me end up reverse crosskicking that kid through a wall. After that I return to the party with new summons, gundams, and personas so I make the rest of the game a breeze

I managed to jump over him, though another one appeared out of nowhere and joined the chase, needless to say I didn't managed to get very far =(.

I think you make so many excellent points in the Confederate flag = racist thread. I don't think sasquatch does a very good job at tearing your points apart either. I'm no history buff, especially an American one but I think its a little crazy he tries to claim the Civil War had next to nothing at all to do with slavery as he so strongly suggests.
I would of given you rep+ but the option dosn't appear to me in "Intellectual discussion" at the moment and I'll have to give out more rep before I can give it to you again somewhere else. It will come though.
All i can say right now is that the confederate flag looks cool but I would never publicly fly it because of the earned stigmatism about it. Like you or someone else said it's like flying the Nazi flag, they stood for a lot of things other then Jewish and other killing and world domination but you'd be stupid/unpatriotic/insane to fly it because of its reputation it earned.

Hey there , sorry for the very late replay , you asked me to help in your Current Events essey but I think it's becoming Past Events , well blame our bad Network lol I got a good one in my sister's house right now .
The reforms have covered all facilities in the country or almost tried to ..
Including education, health, economy, financial help for those who haven't found jobs till they do , widows and divorced women , also financial support for religious and charity establishments, international students...etc..that's what I know so far but still I'm greatfull ^^

Regarding the troops King Abdullah sent hmmmm all I have to say is that when sticks are bound together they get much stronger and can't be easily broken ,and no matter what our differences are we still are one nation whether in Bahrain or elsewhere .
don't thank me by the way coz that is nothing .

That freaking sucks.... I know how it feels to get the run-around like that, but imo, you're better off not working for people who are flaky like that. They could have at least given you a straight up "yes" or "no", instead of you having to keep calling all those times.

Restaurant work isn't so bad. I've done that for quite a number of years, and have made out like a bandit. :3 Best of luck if you get on board with that. ^^

That's some bad words indeed. I'm sorry to hear that she had to come home...but let's hope her dad decides to make good on the whole "making up lost time" with her. Seems that could be a great way to do it.

What happened to Sam's Club? Nothing came about with that? Military would be a good choice, but yeah, I hear you about not really wanting to take that option.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with all this stress... I hope that things start to get better for both you and your GF soon. ^^

It is only really in instances where large groups of people could be offended that these actions are taken.

You could interpet it as suppressing the view of these people, but if that were the case then that person's views would not be broadcast at all. The BBC still discuss Westboro Baptists and Qur'ran burners despite their banned status in the UK. They're only banned from entering the country, not declaring thier views.

The logic is that it is protecting the minority. If a famous person has such radical views that people would gladly kill them, then foreign countries aren't going to let them in, to protect both parties involved.

Take the pastor who wanted to burn a copy of the Qur'ran, he was banned from the UK becasue if he had come here, there would be an incredibly high chance that a member of our population of the Muslim faith might attack or kill him. The UK government would have to organise police protection for these individuals, much in the same way the Phelps family are guarded during thier protests in the US. And that's not fair on the woman who is raped because the police supposed to be on patrol is protecting some outspoken foreigner.

Yes, Libya is a small fish, but insecurity breeds insecurity, and insecurity causes speculation, and the price of oil has nothing to do with scarcity, and everything to do with speculation.

I don't mind though, I think the price of petrol is far too low.

When I say fatty cuts, I mean fatty cuts as in that's the only option. Combine that with a developing country with a population which is uninformed about healthy eating, and a genetic make-up that makes Fijians prone to diabetes and obesity. I can link you an academic source to prove what I'm saying.

Regarding oil, when I say "control of oil", I don't mean your government. I've said this numerous times. Western TNCs hold strategic interests in fossil fuels. Establishing an oil industry is capital-intensive, especially to begin with. Poor countries like Libya lack surplus capital. The West does not. The West supplies capital, for these countries to develop oil industries, and profits through repayment and strategic ownership. The more 'democratic' a country is (although Western-sympathetic dictators seems to hold on to power for absurdly long periods of time, isn'tthatrightMubarak), the greater the ability of the capital-surplus West to use the free market in order to make money off the global economy's dependence on oil.

Why else is the oil industry such a huge political campaign donor? It's got nothing to do with fuel efficient cars.
