Ah, I know of that L - R thing from my sister. =D I heard something interesting in regards to FFIX about that. It seems like the Dead Pepper was translated as that because of some pronouncing issues in Japanese. Something with Red Peppers somehow transitioning to become a D sound: Dead Peppers.

to be honest, I remember very little. I'll keep trying to think about it and tell you anything I can come up with. Those AIM chats stick out in my head most predominantly, but I'm sure there were other antics that took place. I will let you know when more come to mind.

lol, ok so as far as things I did back in "the day". I had a giant banner that said "Ban me" on it and I would go around being a huge prick to omegagear and generally spam around. in aim chats I think we used to play some truth or dare? lol I'm remembering having to post embarrassing things. We used to go do really awkward cybersex in other anonymous chat rooms and copy and paste the results, for some reason I think you were in on the cyber chat pranks. I kept one for the longest time, but that harddrive crashed on me : /

I know that they pronounce syllables much more clearly, like the E's. In Spanish, for example, it's pronounced almost like [teh] but with a much more crispy sound. Most American people can't say it; they say like [tay]. But thankfully, my first language has those sounds, too, so I can properly pronounce Spanish and some Japanese.

Are you learning in school or with a program? I heard that that Rosetta Stone thing is really good. =P But just one section is worth hundreds of dollars. >___< I'll make sure that I learn to speak German!

What about when you hear the words yourself? Can you comprehend what they're saying then?

Heh-heh, well, when the words derive form the same ancestral language, then they're cognates. But they do look the same. But that's pretty much it. =P Imagine the cognate between Spanish and Italian. xD

That's why if you win the lottery, you should buy yourself a giant house, invite friends over, and throw a huge party. You wouldn't be bored, and you can just cater the food, not even make it. =P

You eat it and then head up to your room? I just head up to my room and eat it there. =P I don't mind family dinners, but daily makes it a bit annoying, in my opinion. It's better if we just stay like we are and eat a a family once in a while (or a week).
