Honestly, I'm pretty bad with textures. I tried and I've tried, and nada. Buuut, in the Photoshop I'm using, there's a couple of good pre-made textures and filters which can be used for just about anything really. One really good thing is that each time you use them, it comes up randomly each time. It just takes time and experimenting with what works for you.

So for a paper texture... the sandpaper texture works well for me. Then depending on the colours you want for it, there's an enhance area where you can adjust the colours, hue, saturation, etc. Turn the saturation down, and viola, a piece of white paper texture. There's one for glass too, but it doesn't look great lol.

Also, because I'm using an old, free version, I don't have the effects and tools that would come in handy. Sorry I'm not being much help. ;-;

i never owned a dreamcast either lol. apparently theres a pc version, so i can probably just play it on my laptop. I also want to play Skies of Arcadia which is another dreamcast title and its also for gamecube. all these rpgs that have been around for awhile are starting to get interesting all of a sudden for me.

Well she did not have much of a choice if she wanted to obtain some future. At the age of 17 she became a ward of the state due to circumstances. At 21 she was no longer a ward - that's the cut-off age - so she had nothing really to fall on. With the army, she can get an education & if she chooses take her field job (CBRN[Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear] Technician/Engineer something like that) to the private sector plus she may see some of the world. If I had a house full of money, not consisting of $1s, then she would not have to do this, but her options are very limited.
