No, not really. Norway's taxes are far too high - cut those high marginal rates of tax and cut government expenditure!

You seem like a nice guy, and you play Baldur's Gate II which just seals the deal. The deal being in the TFF of Europe Club.

You are joking, right? Black Wednesday was when the Pound Sterling was forced out of the ERM because it was pegged at an unrealistic rate against the DM. This occured back when the Conservatives were in power and damaged their credibility in managing the economy well. I'm a strong supporter of floating exchange rates and the freedom to use monetary policy to control inflation.

I don't live in Norway, but maybe I've just interpreted what you wrote incorrectly.

So darkViVi, what do you play online? CS:Source? UT2k4? I hear the Norwegians are completely inferior to the Swedish when it comes to online gaming.

HAHA everyone plays online here must be because off our long and cold winter. LoL

I mostly play online on my PS2 though, since my CPU is at 1Ghz but I'm gonna upgrade it soon. Only reason I haven't is that I need to find out if I need a new mainboard.

Anyway I play racing games alot and a bit SOCOM 2 (waiting for SOCOM3).
I am getting AoE2 or 3, not sure yet for my PC and I'm gonna play that online, also I want to get my Baldurs Gate 2 working like it's supposed to...
I couldn't do a full install so I went to BioWares homepage to see why, and it was a common problem it seemed so they had a sloution and that was to do a minimum install and then fiddle around with this file AAAAND copy some stuff over manually, it was a pain but I got it working until...I was to start on SoA disc 4...... Now I mostly play ToB because of that.

The game I really really REALLY wanna play online is World of Warcraft some of my friends have it and they are so busy playing they won't even let me try for 5 minutes

    As for...

HAHA I guess you did, our taxes suck. But it's great to live here even if we live in the most expencive country i the world, and BTW I usually go to Sweden and buy stuff there

Playing online with your console is for women and children.

So what if you can't play World of Warcraft? Play fast paced FPS! I play online games to gain internet respect which means I practice one game solidly for 10 hours a day for a week or two, get bored and reduce practice to 0 - 2 hours a day. I hadn't played a LAN game of UT at my school for such a long time I thought I'd be terrible, but hey, my instagib aim was still pretty good even though it's been a while since I quit UT2k4: must've been over a year ago, almost a year and a half. However, I did play UT once every month or so online for 3 hours each time so maybe that's what kept my aim close to my usual standard. I got 17,000+ kills with the instagib rifle on UT2k4 and 12,000+ deaths and this was during a period of three or four months. That works out to just over 58% efficiency. I would've gotten more had I not played so many normal weapon games, but 1v1 normal weapons is an ability worth improving.

Actually, no Ever heard of Formula 1 for PC?
Afraid not, because it's for PS2 only. Thats mostly what I'm playing online at the moment. Also I need a new CPU so I can play newer games on my PC

Naaaw I have gotten a little weary of FPS games like that, there are more realistic shooters to play now
Also I want my BGII to work properly DAMMIT!!! I never had so many problems with a game before, if it wasn't so great I would never bother to get it "working" that annoys the hell out of me.....

You don't play any strategy games like RTS or anything?

There are plenty of old games that can run on a 1GHz CPU - I'm assuming the other hardware you have is on par with the CPU.

You could easily play CS. I played a lot of that, although I've moved onto CS:Source now, which I doubt your computer would be able to run. I prefer Source over 1.6 despite what lots of people say about dodgy hitboxes online and the variables for earning money, to name a few "problems". I really don't play at a high enough level to care, although if you know the game well enough you could probably consistently abuse the hitbox latency.

I never had any trouble with BGII and I've had it running with a full install on my 233MHz P2, 1300MHz P3 laptop and 2.8GHz P4. The last being what I mainly use now.

I've played a decent number of RTS games in my time: my first being C&C and Red Alert. I remember some great games. I played RA2 online quite a bit and after my exams I think I will practice Starcraft religiously. I'm considering 6 - 10 hours a day. It's a fairly old game but there's so much depth to it, being good at SC would be a nice achievement. There's a Starcraft Club at TFF too, although it's pretty inactive at the moment. If you haven't played the game I thoroughly recommend it.

EDIT: This is my 300th post, which obviously is a milestone, whereas my 299th post is insignificant compared to the 300th. Such milestones can certainly be logically justified.
