Beer! What's your tipple? At the moment I'm favouring Kopparberg, this Swedish pear cider stuff. Nice and sweet, but not too sweet, goes down easy.

Whew. Well, I don't drink all that often due to health problems and alcoholism running down one side of my family. And in all honesty, beer doesn't taste all that good to me. I like creamy alcohol for the most part. Baileys it okay in the smallest glass in the world, and whisky is pretty good... I like advacaart, but I'm off that shit for a while after I got buzzed last year on the stuff, panicked and thought I was turning into an alcoholic.

I think that's due to my dad's past alcoholism.

In honesty, I am scared of alcohol. I am scared of drinking it, I am scared when people have been drinking it, I'm terrified of the effects it has.

In short, alcohol and me have never been friends. I will never aspire to become it's friend, either.

I drink that stuff all the time, its so damn good. The only problem with it is it tastes so good you always want more and so i tend to end up pretty drunk when i start drinking them XD.

Glenfiddich is another favourite of mine, i love whiskey. I'm told its an aquired taste though >.>;

Whiskey is an acquired taste, you're right. I cannot stomach the stuff, and I'm Scottish and all. It just tastes like...I don't know...burning oil, to me at least.

My mum's boyfriend loves it though. He's not an alky, he just likes a good whiskey 'for the taste.' I still don't believe him.

I know what you mean about alcohol being scary Chez. If people are going to do too much of something around me, I'd rather it be hash than booze, since the booze makes them fight and vomit while the hash only makes them snooze.

I find that I drink about a half a bottle of Jack Daniels before a night out... Neat. I have a remarkable alchohol tolerance level and as such it takes an awful lot to get me drunk.

Other than that I'll drink a lot of cider, Kopparberg - Magners - Savannah (loving that at the moment) and a glass of Bulmers wouldn't go amiss. I think it's probably the reason I have as many stomach problems as what I have, I drink a lot and I drink stuff that's not at all good for me really

Andrew went home yesterday. The time really flies and I only really notice that when the train doors are closing and the train drives away. I sobbed again, too. It was lighter than it was in the Winter time, but it was raining. The worst part is when he steps into that train and the doors close. That's when I really know it'll be a while before he comes back.

I'm trying to keep my mind off the distance by chatting to him, resting and playing on games. It may sound like a sad existence, but there's not much else my health will permit for me to do.

Summer. Okay. I'm going to spend it writing a book I've been planning but have not had time to execute what with Uni and so on up here. I will also be doing temp work as a traffic surveyor (I am twitching here I abhor that job but it is money) for **** On Us.

I will be spending roughly three weeks in Poland during July, with my friends Marta, Kris and Dominica, and my Love Interest Evan. We're taking some tents and hitting up all the rock festivals we can find (none cost more than £30 for three days camping pass). The highlight will be Prszytanek Woodstock, Europe's largest, compeltely free, open air festival. We're going to be Camp Schkota, representing Scotland and pointing out that we're not english. Beer = 50p for a pint. Cigarettes = £1.20 per pack. Weed is also supercheap by our standards. I predict three excellent weeks of mud, hitch-hiking, music, and General Merriment.

And then home, to work for Scotland's largest broadsheet newspaper for August, the Glasgow Herald. Daily circulation upwards of 75,000. Oooh yeah. I'm going to be making tea for some journalists and if I'm lucky I'll get to actually write something.

All told, cool beans. What about you crew?

I'll be going to Download festival with a few friends and a load of my friend's friends that I don't know/ barely know. I'm mainly going to see Kiss, Judas Priest, Incubus, Biffy Clyro, Appocalyptica, Within Temptation and Pendulum. It should be a blast! Theres also going to be a silent disco tent, which will be odd- i've always wanted to see what those are like and one of my friends finally decided to go after a while of limbo on whether to go or not when she heard there was going to be one! It'll be a good chance to check out some other bands too. Unfortunatly Lost Prophets are headlining the last day but thankfully nobody I know wants to see them!

I've also got to do work experience during the summer to past my first year at uni. I've already got plans to do some illustrations and character concept design for kids books, and making maps for the same person, however I also need to find something else- where i'm learning off someone in the industry. So if anyone knows anyone in graphic design, web design, animation or similar that can possibly take a wee work experience student, any help is appreciated as i'm having a hard time finding some!

As for alchohol topic- 3 words- Malibu and coke! Vodka and cranberry is nice too- the only trouble with vodka is that it makes me pee. Smirnoff Ice is nice too if i'm at an alcopop-lover's house.

Okay, so next month, Andrew's coming down for his 23rd birthday. I'm hoping to get him to stay for nine days instead of seven this time. Then in August it's my 20th, and then a week after that I'm heading to his place for a week. I suppose my sister is very happy that she and Matt will have the place to themselves without the cat, which seems to insist on biting and scratching the shite out of everybody.

If I remember right, the Subway on that street between St Nick's Kirkyard and Belmont Street (you know the one, opposite Boots on Schoolhill) is looking for part timers, you might like that. Also, Sainbury's in Garthdee is absolutely desperate for workers - go there and you're more than likely to get a job for the summer.

Hmm summer stuff already... this year has gone a bit too fast XD.

I'll be going to Vegas for a week late august/early september, will be visiting the grand canyon while i'm there. That's pretty much the only reason i'm going haha, not a big city person despite being born in one and living in one >.>. Was supposed to be having another smaller holiday in America aswell, but my funds aren't looking too good for that XD.

Will probably have a camping trip as usual and many, many BBQ's.

Would have liked to go to the Download and Leeds festivals... just to see Kiss and Rage Against the Machine >.<. Lack of money sucks for summer stuff haha.

It's not that you've not got the money for the big festivals, Djinn, it's that they're ****ing daylight robbery. That's why I'm going to Poland - I'm determined to have a festival summer. Three weeks in Poland and at least two big festivals (including travel etc.) is going to cost me about the same as three days camping at T in the Park. I would love to see Rage at T, Franz Ferdinand and Asobi Seksu at Connect, I'd loooove to go to Rock Ness...but the sad fact is British festivals just aren't affordable for a lot of real fans these days. Rage, for all their socialist bumff, more than happy to have lifelong fans of theirs charged through the ****ing nose...£180 to spend three days camping in the middle of Glasgow, I swear to God...

Alford, that small place about 30 miles west, going out through Westhill. I actually applied for a job in the Tescos by the Costco in Westhill, but they're yet to get back to me......

Yeah, i'm with you on that one haha. I was going to get a single day ticket for leeds, but it was ****ing £60 or something... for a day, jesus. Well, i got my student loan confirmation through a few months ago from SAAS and i'm getting £890 per year, which works out at about £75 a month i think.....

Uni's stupidly expensive. I'm the tightest person in the world when it comes to money, as a lot of my friends here will testify, but I still manage to be that much in debt.

It's gotten to a point where it's so much less stress to just not worry about the expenditure, and deal with it when you Graduate.

It probably doesn't help that for me, Guinness, one of the most expensive pints, is almost a substitute for water.

Last time, I did art, and whilst it still interests me, the social circle it attracts and forces into your life doesn't.

So... I have to decide.

Either I spend four long days a week in a stuffy classroom with an overstressed tutor and twenty nine other little chavs who don't know shit for two ****ing years.

Or I can join the chefs' department and become a parttime chef for the students, eventually making my way into a career via the college and then so on.

That, or I could get some shitty little job from WHSMITHS or some crap like that. It's a hard decision, but at the same time, not all that hard...

£867.86 in the red. I know what you two mean about just forgetting about it till graduation. My brother mentioned the sum 'One thousand pounds' a few weeks ago, and it took me a few minutes to adjust to the idea that a bank account could hold such amounts. When I look at the balance and see that it's a smaller number, I'm happy. Always working to the magical zero mark. It's like Heroin Hero in South Park, but Overdraft Hero...not at all. Oops.

Follow your instincts, Daisy. Shit people are everywhere, especially in crap jobs, but you just have to work out the quickest escape route from the places they reside in. It usually takes years to get away from them, but you'll make it fine.
