Heh, Taco I should warn you about something, but I hope it's not too late. You may be having running around Hyrule field now but just wait until something that happens a little after the water temple as you'll find that travelling will become a lot easier and quicker. I feel sorry for the people who spent hours trying to get everything and then finding out later they could hae gotten them 10 times quicker not much later. I was one of them.

I've been trying to connect my Wii to the internet but I can't find the plug to put an ethernet cable. I suspect it's underneath the only place I havn't check that it guarded but a annoyingly tiny screw. I just can't seem to find a screwdriver that's compatible with it.

I'm quite a bit further in Zelda: Phantom Hourglass now. Probably well over halfway. I havn't been playing it exclusively. Anyway before I played it I read a review on Gamefaqs because it stood out as being the only one that gave it a low rating at 3/10. Anyway his main issue was that he said the most difficult puzzle was easy as piss. But already I have come across dozens of puzzles much harder then the example he gave and I find that the game is harder then pretty much every 3D Zelda I've ever played.

Hey there. Just wondering if I could join. Nintendo do tend to be my faves generally when it comes to gaming equipment.
Be it the NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, GB, GBC, GBA, GB micro, DS, or any other piece of Nintendo hardware I have foolishly missed, I've always loved playing my Nintendo consoles.

My top 5 would probably be:

    1) Final Fantasy III (VI) (snes)
    2) Final Fantasy II (IV) (snes)
    3) Final Fantasy III (DS)
    4) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
    5) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Pity it was only top 5... Other faves of mine include Super Smash Bros games, Mario Kart, other Legend of Zelda games, other Final Fantasy games, most mario platformers, the old snes Donkey Kong country games and many others...

Hi Celtic silver, I wish I could tell you, you are welcome to join this club but unfortinately I havn't seen the owner, president or vice president here in ages and I don't have the authority to accept new members, hopefully we can figure something out as I'm sure we are open to pretty much anyone. Try sending a PM to Maxpower or..... Oh damn I can't find out who Leo and Geomancer are now. Does anyone else know who they go by now.

Anyway good luck joining us, I hope to see yu here often. We are a bit short on active members lately.

Also I thought I might start a topic

How many of you dudes have played Super Paper Mario and what did you think of it?

Leo is now "Georg Prime," and Geomancer is "Ranger." I'm not sure if either have been on for weeks. Maybe we should look into new ownership...

Anyhoo, as far as Twilight Princess goes, I can't really say I've wasted a lot of time running around Hyrule Field just yet, and I have come to the part that I think you were referring to, Setzertrancer. Still likin' this game a whole lot.

One thing I've always found awesome: Wolf Link's swaying back and forth to the music when you "learn a new song" in that form. Comical.

Anyhoo, got that Bleach game. Played one round. Randomly chose Hitsuguya (the little white-haired kid) and fought against Ishida. Swung the "sword" back and forth repeatedly, which produced Hitsuguya repeatedly shouting "Ha!" in quick succession. Very silly. Need to play it again. Anyhoo....

Yeah that was pretty cool, but I thought it was cooler on Zelda 64 between Link and Sheik especially that Fire Temple song, damn I forgot it's name, some Nintendo dude I am. Anyway I wonder what we are going to do about Celtic_Silver, I want him to join to help get this clubs activity up. We either need a vice vice president or maybe allow certain established members to approve new members, I doubt their would ever be a reason to turn away new members anyway. Has anyone talked to Maxpower lately, I'll probably send him a PM after this post and ask him if he can come back.

I've been playing some classic N64 games and my favourite genre on that console is by far the 3D platformers, the ones made for the 64 are probably the greatest ever made. My favourite are Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo Tooie, simply brilliant games.

I also had and Idea to hopefully make this club more fun. How about in every post we make we include a Nintendo trivia question and then the next person who posts attempts to answer it and then also ask their own question for the next person to answer etc. I'll start off with an easy question.

In Donkey Kong on the NES what was Mario's original name?

*shrug* Maxpower was last on the 9th of this month, but he hasn't posted since September, and I don't have his e-mail address or anything, either. In any case, the two of us can claim martial law maybe and just accept celtic_silver into the fold, since very few people are posting here anymore. Or we could request a closure of this thread and one of us would start a new one. I don't know that I would necessarily be so bold, however...

Been plugging away at Twilight Princess. Got the end of the Desert Fortress. I'm going to look up how you beat that boss, though. As for your question...

    Answer: Jump Man

Question: Name the sorcerer who emprisoned Zelda and the six other maidens in crystals in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

(Was it six? Were they in crystals? La la la...) Anyhoo...

I think Martial law need to be declared here, I just hope maxpower dosn't come back and see us overthrowing him. Anyway let the coup begin.

I suppose you Taco should be the new leader, since I think you've been with this club from the beginning.

    Answer: Agahnim

Question: In Super Mario 64 there were 120 stars to collect, how many are ther in Super Mario 64 DS?

all bow before the great Taco, cultivator and steward of the Nintendo Worshippers!

Answer: I dunno, as i hated having to switch characters to complete different stars. The DS version would've been 120% better if you just played as Mario all of the time.

So two against nobody after a week. I will act as Interim Head Honcho until somebody comes back, then. Yay!

celtic_silver: Start posting now, if you're still interested. Nintendo Worshippers welcome you into the fold.

Back to Nintendo-y things; I am slightly further now in Twilight Princess. I downloaded Shining Force of the Virtual Console and played the first two battles, and it does seem like it should be fun. I wasn't impressed with the first little bit before the battles started, but once the first battle was under way, it was cool.

I also downloaded Super Castlevania and Contra 4. Haven't played Contra yet, but I played the first little bit of Castlevania. There's a big pit there on that first screen that I couldn't get past. I think I might be an idiot because it's at the very beginning of the game, but I was also tired, so I'll use that as my excuse. Anyhoo...

Answer to your question, Setzertrancer; I have no idea. Never played that one.

    Anyhoo...

    Good to be here.
As for Super Castlevania, I had the same trouble. I just found neither a gamecube controller nor the classic controller really felt right leading to slightly off jumps and the like. I've sort of gotten used to it now, but I still prefer it the old fashioned way...

Contra 4 I'm yet to download, but I really should sooner or later. It was good then, and though it's been a while I'd say it's probably good now. I vaguely remember it being a bit hard, though that may have been another Contra.

Shining Force is also a classic. Kind of funny playing the Sega games on a Nintendo console now after the major rivalry not all that many years back.

I've just been playing the original NES Legend of Zelda again. I've gotten addicted again it seems...
And all because I found a nice java phone remake of the original with updated graphics and felt a hunger for the original with the original NES controller...

Oh and Baten Kaitos again on the gamecube. I've never seen another game quite like Baiten Kaitos...

Sorry guys I had to get a real guy job and it is sucking my life away! Being that I can't be on here very often it seems silly to wait for me to let people in. We should be more like a democracy and those members that are active can vote to let people in. I totally agree that Taco should have the last say though (he is a smart guy.) I will try to post more often when I get time. However I did add Celtic_Silver to the member list and also set Taco into the leadership.

Sorry we didn't wait for you like a day or two longer... Although that's pretty awesome timing. The day after a decision regarding the club is made without you, you come back. Heh. Although the same day would've been even more awesome... Anyhoo, welcome back. And good luck with the job that sucks your life away. Jobs like those are fun. Hope you can get some time in here, as well. We wuv you still!

I haven't played any games since the last time I posted... I've played that Bleach game once since I bought it... wow. I should play that. However, I also have to go to work in an hour. And I like to draw and write and hang out with my friends and eat and sleep, which have been cutting into my playing time too. Stupid other things. Anyhoo...

I was wondering just now if any of you have ever tried to play every game in a Nintendo franchise, one after the other?

I've been doing that with LoZ. Finished the original duo on NES, and have just gotten into Link's Awakening. Good game that... Link's Awakening really amazes me though. It's not like many other games from around that generation...

Yes, I tried it with Zelda a few times problem is I always get bored of the genre before I play 1 and a half Zelda's normally and feel like playing something else entirely. I tend to get bored of a certain type of game and then have to play something different before I can go back to that genre again. I also tried it with the Mario RPG series, same thing happened, plus I don't consider Super Paper Mario part of that series, it's not an RPG damnit. I've also tried it with the N64 3D Platformer genre and played Mario64, Banjo Tooie and DK64 all in a row, not a franchise I know but whatever.

Can anyone manage to put into words why all the Mario Party games after the 3rd sucked. I mean they seem the same in structure and principle but for some reason they are boring. One posibility I considered is that I've been getting older and arn't finding them fun anymore due to maturity, but I really know if Nintendo just screwed it up every time or if it's just me, what do you dudes think.

There's my little bit for now

Sorry I shouldn't steal peoples lines.

Oh, and welcome back Maxpower good to see you still exist may your minions post with new found vigor.

Hey all, i already asked to join this club and as i recall was told it was ok on my prior club post but i never really got "welcomed" nor membered...

I'd just like to ask in a mario style.... "Hey whats-a up with-a that!?"

Hehe...honestly though, i shall repeat myself just for sheer loyalty to Nintendo. I'm nick, 18 years old. I own every nintendo console (Except GBC, GB: Micro and DS) and am a major fan of the Zelda series as well as the metroid.

My top 5 nintendo game are, revised from my initial post,

    1) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask [N64/GCN]
    2) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time [N64/GCN]
    3) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [SNES]
    4) Super Metroid [SNES]
    5) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes [GCN]

As you may have noticed, i am love with Zelda and Metroid franchises, although its tough to put in some other great kick-ass games such as Super Mario RPG...

My plead is, will thou introduce me officially into Nintendo's TFF army?

    My Awesome TFF Family

My awesome Obsessive Half-Breed Half Sister: Vampiric Delirium, My Yaoi-Loving Compassionate Daughter: Xeim, My Forever Intoxicated Vigilante Brother: Celtic_Silver, My Sister From Another Mister: OceanEyes28, My Awesome Cali Brother: Fishie, My adorable little pet bunny: Tiger Lily, My FF worthy awesome Homie, ManicDepression, My Cloud-loving Spartan Fenririan Brother: Cloud, My UFC Champion athlete fighter: BenRampage, My godsmack addict, Manchester United Fan Rival in Trivia Brother: Omega Weapon, My Trivial Addict Cousin: Phantom, My Uber bot slicer son: Zero, My Really Awesome Rival in Trivia Brother: Squall333, My Silly Dragoonic Sister: Kaos Dragon, My Drunken Step-Father Who Smokes Every 5 Seconds: SasuXNaru, My "Unknowingly Being in His Family" Brother: Rasler, My Bahamut-Loving Stalker Sister:Bahamut1990, My Insane Overlord Grandfather: Itachi Uchiha

I can not add you to the roster, but I can say that Nintendo Worshippers welcome you into the fold, especially if you were given the green light prior to now anyway. So yay! Welcome, Nick. I'm sure that Maxpower will add you to his list whenever he pops in again (he probably just forgot last time, too.)

I do not believe I've ever gone and played an entire series back to back before. It takes me too long to beat one game to do that anyway, although I could probably do that with Star Fox pretty easily (if I had a DS...) I have gone back and played older games in the series after playing newer ones. For example: I went back and played the original Paper Mario after beating the Thousand Year Door, and I also went back and played A Link to the Past after beating The Wind Waker (I didn't actually beat either of the older games, though... got about halfway through the original Paper Mario before losing interest, and got all the way to Ganon's Tower in A Link to the Past.) My attention span ails me sometimes.

Anyhoo, really hooked on "Shining Force," now. Also kinda at a head with Twilight Princess, because I've come to the point of the game where fishing is necessary again. Why did they make something that should've been optional and that is such a pain in the ass be a crucial part in continuing the story not once, but twice? Or is it only a pain in the ass for me, because I suck? (Don't answer that )

I also played a bit of that Bleach game. It's okay. Pretty simple and easy, and kinda lacking in the story department, but I enjoy playing as characters from the series, like Madarame Ikkaku.
    Spoiler:
    (I love his bankai.)

I wish you could play as Urahara Keisuke and Kon as well. The game does majorly spoil the game if you've only been watching the series on Adult Swim, though. Basically, it's set like ten or so episodes after the point that Adult Swim stopped showing new episodes this year. But yeah; fun, but not great. Probably should've waited for this to come down to like $20-$30 or so, but oh well. Anyhoo...

I can add you and am excited to do so. Welcome to the club.

I have not ever tried playing all of the Nintendo Franchise games in a row. I think it is an interesting idea. My problem is that I am pretty sure that I have ADHD and often need to jump from one type of game to another to keep myself interested in videogames. The only time I find this is not true is when a totally unique game comes out. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yay! Thank you oh so very much. I'm glad i am now officially in the best club on TFF. Nintendo can do that....

As for Celtic's question. I don't think i play a franchise whole so often. Exceptions for me though, to these would be the Zelda games, where that gamecube promo disc helps quite a lot. Also, there's Kirby superstar, which in my opinion is fantastic. Its just a bunch of kirby mayhem in one cartridge and a must for any fans of the pink puff. Other than this, i pretty much only went on console runs, where i play many games on that console and then switch...its a cool way to retrospect if you think about it

Also, random, but i've been playing super mario strikers charged online, and barely get a challenge nowawdays. I was wondering if maybe someone was brave enough to meet me on the pitch?

Can i join? I believe satan is Microsoft and God is Nintendo. And Sony... died. I know, I have some issues XD but really, Nintendo is by far the best gaming industry company. They invented the console system. Sony and Microsoft should be sued.

Although he does also say to feel free to post at any time if you information on Nintendo. I don't know if we're still following these rulese or not, given the sporadic activity this club sees, however, so maybe we should turn this over to the currently active members and have them vote on it. What say you people? (Obviously, if maxpower has something else in mind, the floor goes to him.)

Still playing Shining Force instead of Twilight Princess. I think I'm almost to the end now, though. I'm trying to level up Bleu (the dragon), but he has pathetic defense and offense at this point, and no spells. So he goes in, does one point of damage, gets one point of experience, and then immediately dies when he gets hit. The only strategy I have to keeping him alive is having him go in with my more threatening units, or my main character. Does anyone know if he's even worth it? postal, I'm looking at you. Anyhoo...

Well it's official. I gave up trying to get absolutely every heart container and/or collectible, but I've completed every LoZ one after the other.
One thing I noticed, and I think it's what's kept me a major Nintendo supporter. First Nintendo games seemed to have superior game play and were fairly unique just being home consoles, and then it was more later on. They incorporated some nice humour in later games...

Ocarina of Time for example, had some very funny moments. Think back to it...
Other games I remember for the humour...
Most Donkey Kong games from Donkey Kong Country, many RPGs on all the consoles, several LoZ games, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, Several Mario games, though mostly the ones based on a better story...

    There's a few...

wow no posts in 9 days, come on people, it's an exciting time to be a Nintendo fan. I'm really looking forward to Forever Blue on the Wii because it's prequel was brilliant. It is basically a game about relxation and visual eye candy. I would says it's like an underwater oblivion. I've considered getting MySims as well for the Wii since it's gotten positive reviews. Sounds to me like a much much better version of Animal Crossing.

Hmm... I didn't know that MySims for the Wii had gotten positive reviews. The one review I saw for it was not promising... although I thinl it was EGM, and they like to give harsh reviews, apparently. Still looking forward to the next Animal Crossing, though. Totally gonna get that one. I've also still been following the Smash Bros. page, although I don't think they're going to reveal any more characters until the game is released, probably.

For Christmas I got Super Mario Galaxy. I have not played it yet though, because I've been hard at work at Shining Force. SF took presidence over Twilight Princess for a time, but now that I've beaten it, I think I'll try to get through Twilight Princess again. Although I think I noted earlier that I'm at another point in the game where you have to fish, and I hate fishing. It may be a while... I also want to play more of the Bleach game. Last time I played it, I unlocked Rukia and unlocked Byakuya's Story Mode. Anyhoo...

    Ah the wii...
It's just me, but something feels wrong with the wiimote in single player games for me...

I love it in multiplayer games, especially the ones involving mini-games, but I seem to prefer the gamecube version of Twilight Princess over the Wii version. It's also that I prefer my Link to be left handed as he normally is... >>

As for what I've been playing recently, I've been playing Jet Force Gemini on the 64 once more. Good game that...
And virtually unknown around here too.

And moreso that Jet Force Gemini I have been playing my DS. Ys Strategy for DS as I thought I should get some gaming out of it. It strikes me as being a good Age of Empires substitute. With monsters.

And in my gba slot sits Tales of Phantasia. I know the colours seem a bit out compared to the Super Famicon and PSX versions, and the software synthesised sound doesn't seem quite as smooth, but the story is all there and it's a damned fun play. It's also one of very few gba games I've played to incorporate spoken sound so much. As of recently it's become my second favourite gba game after the Final Fantasy VI port...

Ahh yes, the famous perspective switch where your right, becomes Link's right! Because you know...link is a lefty? Anyway, the game becomes messed up, but other than that its not so bad. The wii mote problem is only flicking, which ends up ruining gameplay, but hey, if you're too lazy to swordplay...f' off. Mate, maybe you should check the setup. Maybe your sensor bar isnt positioned or synced well and gives you bad reception...or its your position.

But yeah, the wiimote was awesome for super paper mario, resident evil umbrella chronicles and even super mario strikers...even wii sports!

    Dunno...

On a side note, been playing gcn TLOZ:TP, and damnit, i just love the soundtrack. Hyrule field at day and night, and kakariko village are just...wow...Koji Kondo is my god...

    Peace gamers!

My sensor bar is fine, I'm well synced, I can play the games well with the wiimote, it just don't feel right to me for some sorts of games...
It's why I've purchased the new Mario, but have not played it yet. I sort of dread wiimote platforming despite how good I've heard it is of late...

Hell, I love the Wii, but I love older Nintendo games even more...
    Just me.

Hey! None of you have posted here in over a month! Wait a second, neither have I...

So, I finally beat Twilight Princess the other day. I was almost sad when it was done. There's no more game left! I was hoping for maybe a second quest or something, a la the original Legend of Zelda, or at least something like in The Wind Waker. I would also like to mention that if you've only played the beginning, and you hate Midna... give her a chance. By the end, I thought she was a great character. Also, Zant...
    Spoiler:
Wow. I wasn't expecting that. He was so sinister throughout the game, and then at the end... he was so goofy. I was kinda disturbed when his neck was snapped, though. Either he did it, or Ganondorf did it. Since he was supposed to be already dead, I imagine that was his soul signifying his defeat, or something.

I've played the first level of Super Mario Galaxy, and seen it played by friends. The controls and camera angles are going to take some getting used to, but then again, so did Twilight Princess.

Also, what do you guys think of the final Smash Bros. Brawl roster? It's been confirmed, as per the game is out in Japan now (just not on the official page, but on an IGN page.)
    Spoiler:
I was initially disappointed that there was no Geno or Krystal, but then I remembered there was Sonic, Snake, Meta Knight, etc. Wolf sounds like he's slow, so maybe he plays different enough from Fox and Falco. Lucario sounds like he could be cool, too. So all in all,

I'm looking forward to the game. Little over a month to wait, now. Anyhoo...

Lately I've neglected most of my systems temporarily due to getting a job, but I did get a copy of Mario Party DS. And I already love it. One game pack, four players. It reminds me of the originals on n64 which I used to play heaps with mates when they came out.

Oh and I started a new game of FF I + II Dawn of Souls for GBA, but I've sort of put that on hiatus.

As for the SSBB roster... HOT DIGGITY!
And I can use my gamecube controller too. That's one thing I was hoping they'd confirm. Link's always been my favourite character to use, but now I also want to try out Snake, Sonic and Zero Suit Samus. Oh and I'm interested as playing as the pokemon trainer with the three switchable pokemon too. That could be interesting.

(I also need to buy some more NES controllers. Another of mine carked it so I've decided to buy another 20 or so before my remaining one dies. NES will never be a memory... )

Do dee do. Been playing a lot of Super Mario Galaxy. I've got like 67 stars, but the levels are starting to get really difficult and frustrating, and I don't know that I want to put all that much effort into beating them. Like, I've tried several times to beat the Sand Blast Speed Run (the desert one in the bed room, I think it was.) I always take forever in the part where you have to gather the blue star pieces, and every time I've gotten past that part (I usually give up once I've gotten down to around two minutes without getting past that part) I'm trying to go so fast that I fall off into the quick sand and die. This game has heard all of my colorful language thrown at it (poor Mario.)

I wanted to get all 120 stars initially, but now I think I might just beat the last level and move on to either finally play Kingdom Hearts II or replay Chrono Trigger. I'm leaning towards Chrono Trigger right now, even though Kingdom Hearts II does not belong to me, and I've had it for half a year now. And that's pretty much what I have to say about anything right now... Anyhoo...
