Plus I went and bought Soul Calibur 2 for my Gamecube but to play through my Wii and I like what they did to link to actually make him part of the story
A new leader hey, Hmm I would greatly appreciate votes for me to be President or Vice President as I will be at the club until the end of time and I will also be playing Nintendo until the end of time. So VOTE #1 SeTzertrANcer!!
Anyway, Dyluck would serve us well as the leader because he catches nearly every second post so I don't think there is a more active member here, not to mention his posts are long and interesting. So Dyluck wins Presidency by a long shot in my opinion and as for the second nomination I vote for Yunie Lover!!, no I'm kidding. I would have to give my second nomination to the great omighty Captain Kirk as he has contributed a lot to this club as a productive and creative member.
Good luck with your life Maxpower dude, hope you become a multi-millionaire and share some of your riches with us, your loyal club members. Just Kidding!, or am I.

So... I would say that I am not going to be around much starting in April, as per I'm going to work at Yellowstone this Summer (pm me if you're interested in doing that yourself, btw) so as to discourage anyone from nominating me... but I see that my name hasn't even been mentioned. (Nah, I don't mind.)But yeah, if anyone was thinking of nominating me, I'm not gonna be here anymore around then. So yeah, I like the idea of Captain Kirk and Dyluck being President and Vice President of this club. I have to say, however, that no one besides a moderator really has power to warn someone. Just pointing that out.
Anyhoo, on the other thing everyone was talking about... I like both types of platformers; 2D and 3D. I've never actually played DK64 or Super Mario Bros. 64, but I've heard that both were supposed to be really good, Super Mario Bros. 64 in particular. I had Banjo Kazooie for a short time, but I did not think much of it. I did own Conker's Bad Fur Day, however, which I thoroughly enjoy. I also thoroughly enjoyed all of the old school Super Mario Bros. games (I totally agree that Super Mario World had a lot going on, though I've found everything in that game, and I think I have a 100 save file. Or 99*star*, or whatever it is.) So yeah; both formats work for me. Anyhoo...

Cool, Captian Kirk, sir!
Paper Mario is one of the best RPGs in existance (only played the N64 one) so now I've definately got to get this new one. But damn it, just last week I was complaining that there weren't enough games for the DS and Wii to be worth buying and now they go and be ironic and release so many must have games at once there's no way i'm going to afford even a fifth of them.
I'll make a list of all the Wii and DS game coming out that I must buy.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Mario Party 8
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Trauma Center
Wii Music (maybe, need more info)
Pokemon Diamond or Pearl
Castlevania: PoR (Already had this paid off for 3 months)
Final Fantasy III
Theme Park DS
Harvest Moon DS
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Pheonix Wright
Final Fantasy V Advance
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Super Paper Mario
Not Nintendo
Okami
Final Fantasy XII
Kingdom Hearts 2
Plus Numerous VC games
Where the hell am I going to get the money for all these. I've never seen this many must haves being released at once before, what a day in history for gaming.
Before I go, I did a video review for the Wii, check it out

All right it seems like this idea is going to be great. I would like to stress however that I am not leaving I just want to make this club a democracy and make sure that we always have an active leadership by including a couple of extra members as leaders.
So here is the list so far of nominees:
President
Captain Kirk - has not accepted
Dyluck - has accepted
Rydia Lover - Has Not accepted
Vp
Dark Dragoon - has accepted
Setzertrancer - has accepted
Dyluck - has accepted
Captain Kirk - has not accepted.
I think that is everyone. But nominations are still open for a week. I also need those people nominated to write something like "I accept the nomination" or "I don't accept the nomination." So I know that they are willing to participate.

Thanx for the support people, yeah needless to say I am pretty damn active. Clubs are really my main interest (if not my only interest) at TFF these days, and I'm pretty sure I can talk about Nintendo related things all day long.
Anywayz, I will say I accept the nomination for either President or Vice-President. I'd be honored to have a leadership role at such a prestigious club, and one of the greatest here at TFF!
LONG LIVE NINTENDO *praises Shigeru Miyamoto and maxpower*

I will definitely be looking forward to Super Paper Mario. I've played and loved the prior two games in that series, so definitely. The new features this new game is going to have sound interesting, too, like pointing the wii mote at the screen to find secret doors, switching from 3D to 2D and back (I wonder about that) and floating math equations (?) Thankee for the info, Captain Kirk. That is awesome.
It is also awesome that Wii Sports and Zelda have gotten nominated for best games of the year. It's kinda odd that FF12 didn't get nominated for best game, though. Or Okami, or whatever that game is called. *shrug* I almost thought that no Sony game got nominated, but then I saw Guitar Hero II listed. That's an interesting choice, to say the least. Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom
Yeah I'm really pumped for Super Paper Mario as well and I haven't even played the first two games. It seems to be a lot more of a platformer than an RPG like the first two games, though it will still involve some rpg elements. Takes me back to the old school 2D mario platforming days.
Yeah those games have been nominated for game of the year, by whom though? FF XII seems to be nominated at a lot of places, it won best PS2 game from Gamespot. Okami was voted overall game of the year by IGN. I'd say anyone with an open mind who doesn't mind some strange visuals, and quirky japanese style and humor should give it a try! Takes its basic gameplay from zelda but adds a very original and innovative twist. Definitely a game worth checking out if you own a PS2, it's on the top of my list right now.
Whoops I had to edit this. Missed Captain Kirk's post about the The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Heh, I'm not sure if I agree in ANY WAY about the finalists in the overall game of the year, or even console game of the year. How are you going to have guitar hero II and not Okami? (hell Okami's not even up for best ART DIRECTION while two first person shooters are?) That's sad to me, and makes close to no sense. I am glad to see that some Nintendo games are representing though, I definitely agree with those. But I don't think Oblivion or Guitar Hero II should be on there but maybe that's just me..
Guitar Hero II is a fun game, but I agree, weird choice for game of the year.

I accept the Nomonation, although I only got one vote (XD) But, yeah, I stick by my votes, so, no matter.
As for future Wii titles, I haven't really given it much thought. I know I will probably be a Wii whore 'til the end though . I want to play plenty of FPS's and hack-n-slash on it though. And, I have to say that I am looking forward to the DQ game for the DS, a bit off Wii.... Oh, and I want Fire Emblem for the Wii, yeah!!
Yeah, I luv Nintendo, I heard the new KH game is coming out on Wii, so, yay, if only FF would see the light .

Well no need to read the above post I guess, seeing as he was banned! That kid was SPAMTASTIC to the max I must say!
Anyhoo, that new DQ for the Wii does look great! I'm finally glad that some screenshots are available. Slashing some slimes up with the wiimote does seem like a lot of fun! And i'm glad I'm getting a DS soon so I'll be able to play DQ IX, freaking multiplayer play? Say it ain't so . Possibly with DQ going to Nintendo, we will see DQ X on the Wii? Who knows.
In terms of other Wii games I am excited about Prince of Persia: Rival Swords looks like it's going to be great, and Bust a Move: Bash! looks awesome, up to 8 players in head to head competitions? wow ??
In Wii related news though, a curious article i read was that Capcom is currently working on a new Wii game, no info regarding the game has been revealed though. All we know is that it's being developed by Inafune, the claimed developers behind Dead Rising and Lost Planet, two titles for the Xbox 360. I'm expecting great things for their work on the Wii.

Yeah, that DQ game looks like it should be cool, although I read something about it in Electronic Gaming Monthly just recently; something about it either being on rail, or something about having predetermined destinations. Like, you don't get to wander the countryside in this game, I guess. Maybe I should look it up... *shrug*
Anyhoo, the main reason I was posting here was to show this that my friend sent me. Isn't that freaking awesome? I want one! Maybe I could build one, but I don't think I have the right parts for that... Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom
Haha, awesome, a King Koopa, in Lego form! I can see that merging "Lego Mario Bros."... Does anyone else find that thought a bit, er, strange? I know that Lego Star Wars was a huge game, but I kinda find it a scary thought that Big-Name franchises are making "Lego" games.... or maybe I am just paranoid. *shrugs* meh, either way....
Anyways, I wanna the DQ game, now XD. I am a long time fan of the DQ series, and seeing screenies only whets my appetite. Alas, if only the DQ games weren't such an unpopular game in the US, most of the later titles for the SNES and PSX never came to US shores, or outside Japan for that matter. It is good seeing my long-time favorite game coming back to its roots and a more affordable console... Too bad Squenix hasn't seen the light completely... although I heard the new KH game is going to be on the Wii, although, all of the statements are just on rumors...

@Captain Kirk, Ha ha the ironic thing is that I just found out one of my D&Ders watched it. If I were to explain some of the stupid conversation we have had I'd likely get annoyed and insult them.
I'm really looking forward to Themepark DS, because I kind of have an unhealthy attraction to that game I played Theme Park Worlds on PS2 a hell of a lot I loved that game. I've also loved most simulation games.
I had a play of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, hoping for other papermario like adventure. But it wasn't in mushroom kingdom meaning no familiar things like goombas and stuff and the exploration in the game was annoying because you have to keep switching between mario and luigi and it get tiresome. I've stopped playing it for now. What are you experiences with the game.
Setzer's Review Library: Tyrian,

Nintendo the 80s the games of Nintendo on the years of 1980 was the great game of the Nintendo Entertainment System 8 bit (NES). There was great games and Shigeru Miyamoto's great start of the consoles and Games. Because Miyamoto is the father of Nintendo, Super Mario Bros and The legend of Zelda games. He is the greatest game maker and I am the greatest fan of him Shigeru Miyamoto is mine Nintendo Hero. And some of that game of Super Mario Brother was great exept Super Mario Bros 2 (NES) was not successed because I played that game out and It was boring
And than the game named The legend of Zelda games was great and two games named The legend of Zelda 1 and The legend of Zelda 2 The adventure of Link was great start of Miyamoto on NES. The greatest was The legend of Zelda 2 Adventure of Link was great but Zelda 1 was good game but no map. It was only Radar and no picture that was so Annoying and I had no Idea where I was. With SNES game of Zelda named The legend of Zelda III Alink to the Past was on the year 1989 it was so great game and there was the start with combine the two world with Hyrule (Light World) and Golden Land (Dark World).
She is so lovely, cutie and beautiful I love her <3...
Her name is Vanille...
She is from Final Fantasy XIII...
I thought this was interesting news. IGN has is featuring it's predictions for the Wii in 2007. Check out the article here
All of it seems to be good news overall, though one thing that caught my attention was the "Dead Franchises" prediction. What old franchise could we possibly be see brought back from the dead? I honestly can't think of that many franchises of nintendo that haven't seen the light of day lately besides a few:
1.) Kid Icarus
2.) Mother (Earthbound)
3.) F-Zero
Anyone else have any ideas to what franchises IGN might be thinking of? Other than that, more third party support and possibly completely original VC games? Sounds good to me.
In regards to Okami not receiving recognition, I guess I'm not the only one who thought so. I stumbled across this, looks like Capcom's games might be being snubbed from the awards because they are not members. Damn you Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences!

Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing a new Super Mario Bros 2 type game. As much as people thought it was such a weird title, I really enjoyed the game. I'm glad that eventually the real Super Mario Bros 2, Lost Levels, got to see release outside of Japan when it was included in Super Mario Allstars on the SNES though. I definitely liked the variety of characters in the game, I always was princess peach because of her dress hovering ability. Toad was really fast though. It was a pretty hard game I thought at times, but if you knew where the warp pipes were you'd have no trouble. Getting to play as Bowser certainly would be interesting Captain Kirk. Has anyone actually beaten Lost Levels though? I've tried for years.
Yeah a new Pikmin game is great newz too, atleast I think, I've actually never played any of the games myself. They look really fun and innovative though, and I really enjoy strategy games, especially ones designed by Shigeru Miyamoto! I didn't know they were multiplayer though, I bet that can be real fun. Hopefully once I get my Wii i can get a chance to play the games, either the new ones or the old gamecube versions.
Anyhoo, one franchise that I thought of that would be GREAT for the Wii, maybe a few people have experienced it, maybe not everyone though. It's none other than MARIO PAINT! One of the greatest and all around fun times on the SNES! I think they were developing a nintendo 64 version, maybe they released it Japan and not here though? I can't remember, but regardless, the Wii seems like a perfect fit for the gameplay style of Mario Paint. Maybe they could even develop some kind of new attatchment or two for the Wiimote that would go with the game. *keeps finger crossed for new Mario Paint title*
Anyone else like Mario Paint, or any other franchises people would like to see more of on the Wii?

Personally, I am not looking at the Wii for some titles, I am also looking at the DS. Here is a list of stuff I would like to see for both consoles:
DS-
A Fire Emblem or a SRPG game, dealing with the stylus. This is probably the one thing I want the most out of anything, is to see the touch screen get used in controlling units in a SRPG. Also, a Strategy (ala no turn based gameplay) would also be a nice thing to see on the DS, using a stylus to control an army in a real time strategy game would own.
I would also like to see a lot more FPS in the DS market. Metroid, while a great game, cannot be the only FPS that people working with the DS can come up with. A WWII FPS would even be accepted by me, and I feel a decent FPS is something that has been long overdue, and would work well.
Wii-
The same as the DS, I want to see lots and lots of FPS, even moreso than what I want for the DS. I mean, honestly, this system cries to be a FPS machine. I applauded the Call of Duty game that hit this console, but I want more *stingy*
Also, in this console, I would love to see more Sword fighting. Or, even better, Multiplayer swordfighting. Take your skills against another (or 3 other) people and face off with swords, that would freaking rule, everything. Perhaps have different styles from all around the world, Japanese, English, French, Chinese, Indian (not Native Americans), German, hell, even throw in different types of weapons, like massive axes and halberds. I could keep going, but, yeah, I think you all get the point... this thought morphed in my mind as I was writing it .
~TheDarkDragoon
P.S. Mario Paint pwns!
Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting in here for awhile, Rogue Galaxy for the PS2 has been sucking my life away ever since I got it opening day. Don't want to say too much about it except that it's a fantastic RPG. Look for more in the future because I'm hoping to write a review of it here at TFF.
I almost forgot about all the voting and stuff that has to be going on. I'm not sure If it's time soon and it's been a week? I haven't really been keeping track, I supposed I could look back the previous posts though.
Anyhoo, Mario Paint does pwn the maximum. I wish I owned the game, a friend is the only person that I know who does. I don't remember all the games really, there was music and drawing I remember, and a fly swatting mini game that was pretty fun. Just think with the new technology and the wiimote what interesting things they could come up with though.
Has any of heard of DJing using Wiimotes?
http://music.ign.com/articles/760/760719p1.html. Apparently by hacking into the controllers, he has a created a technique called Wiijing and he thinks it might change the way of DJing forever! GO NINTENDO!
One DS game that I think looks really interesting right now is Hotel Dusk: Room 215. A great looking detective mystery sort of game, kind of in the old school fashion. May be slow moving to some, but I've always enjoyed those kind of games. Definitely something I'll be checking out If I get my DS anytime soon.
And captain kirk, great keychains! I definitely like the Super Mario Bros the best.
So I guess I don't have a lot of Nintendo news to report, probably get back to more Rogue Galaxy! I'll be checking for updates on the voting and everything though. Looks like everyone has accepted besides Rydia Lover. Where for art thou Rydia? Anywayz, Happy posting everyone.

Woah quick response there MaxPower! This is tough because of the fact that such a small group of people are voting, not only are people in more than one category, but most of the people voting are the same people nominated and you can't vote for yourself obviously. And I don't know if you can vote for the same person for President and Vice?
Anyhoo, I'll probably PM you with my response once I decide Maxpower.

Pretty cool Cap'n Crunch... I mean Kirk ^^;;
I wanna play around with a Wii soon, haven't been able to post in a while because I had to work til' 11:00PM Monday, and 10:00 Tuesday... Busy Busy Busy
Anyways, Max, I voted already, if you haven't counted it. If you need a repeat, its Kirk for Prez, and Leo/Dyluck for Vice.
Anyways, I am at a lack of Nintendo News, this is a great club, its kind of sad to see the post count drop off for 4 days, >.>, I can only post so much people XD.

*sneers at Kirk*
Well, I have yet to get the money for a wii, but feh. I'm probably gonna go to a friend's house and play his TP sometime ^^
He has already beat it (no surprise) but I invited him to my house, We'd hook up his wii and I'd play it while he can play his DS on my wireless wifi thing^^ either that or I'd let him try out FFXI
That is awesome news Captain Kirk, sounds like you are having an awesome time with your Wii. I wish I could be doing the same, I definitely have enough money to buy one, but I'm still really thinking If i should. I still have A LOT of ps2 rpgs to play, not only that but there are a small handful of ps1 and dreamcast games that I own that I have yet to beat. And i'm somewhat sort on the cash intake at the moment so I don't want to be blowing it quick. Honestly with the amount of games I have to play on my current systems, I could still be playing games for years I swear.
I'm still debating though, should I get a DS or a Wii first? Because I do want to get both at some point. My natural instinct goes for the Wii, but I don't have a good handheld system, and there are a lot of great games for the DS and GBA I could be playing.
I think one Wii game that is looking VERY promising and that I'm excited about is Dewy's Adventure. It's an entirely original project from Konami, and more specifically the same team that brought the game, Elebits, which was one of the most well received launch titles for the Wii and nominated for action game of the year. (btw, has anyone played it here?). Let me quote a little about the gameplay here
And like Elebits, it features a level editor mode in which you can edit levels and play them cooperatively with friends. A simple game premise, but a lot of cool innovation in it's controls thanks to the Wii.In Dewy's Adventure, gamers take control of a recently incarnated water droplet, Dewy, whose Elder Tree master has fallen ill at the hands of the evil Don Hedron. It's up to Dewy to find a way to save the Elder Tree and restore order to the once-flourishing forests.
Players use the Wii remote to navigate the character through an assortment of environments and harness his special abilities. In terms of control, gamers tilt the Wii remote to angle and rotate the landscapes in order to position Dewy in the correct spots for puzzle-solving. Dewy can also modify the temperature of his immediate surroundings, changing ice to mist, for example. Using his elemental powers, Dewy can freeze or heat different parts of the worlds in order to trigger a variety of puzzles and advance. In addition, players can induce earthquakes, lightning bolts or even damaging gusts of wind, among other things, by shaking and waving the Wii remote respectively during certain situations.
..and yeah I've been pretty lazy about posting around here in general lately and I apologize. Too much Day of Defeat and Rogue Galaxy lately! Happy posting everyone.

Yay, first paycheck! I did 15.75 Hours of overtime o.O! If I would have made it so far, I probably could have made a lot more.
Anyways, one of the first systems I plan on grabbing is a DS, because, like you Dyluck, I have neither, but I want both. I say, wait until the Wii has more titles out, then get it, the DS is a REALLY solid system, with plenty to choose from now. I plan on also getting a coloured Wii, instead of one of those plain white ones ^^;;. Also, getting consoles when they are refurbished or used, they tend to be a bit cheaper, but, finding one now is going to be hard, so, I just stick with my decision that you should go for a DS, and wait a little bit for a Wii.
Anyways, I wonder what I am going to spend my 100+ dollars on, I have 200 in savings, that I don't plan on touching, so, what with the rest, I wonder (not so) quietly to myself.

P.S. Sorry for the not posting for a while, this job takes it outa me :/
So, I have a confession to make.... I got tired of waiting for finding a Wii, and went out and got one of them new PS2's instead. It's because I still have not seen a Wii anywhere. I really wanna play Twilight Princess, too, but when I went to get the Game Cube version the other day, it was gone from Target. In any case, now at least I can play those Final Fantasy Kingdom Hearts titles that I've not been able to play for years (and I can finally tell my friend what I think of X, although I don't have it yet; I just have XII right now.) The main reason I got a PS2, though, is so I could have a gaming system and a DVD player in one when I go to Yellowstone. It'll take up like negative space out there.
Maybe, if I can find one, I'll get a DS before I go out there, too... I wanna play Animal Crossing, FF3, Star Fox, Pokemon, etc., too.

Okay after adding up the votes it looks like Captain Kirk is the new president of this Club while Dyluck will act as the Vice. I would like to state that I will still be here and help in making decisions but those two now have full power to do things that they feel are necessary. Congratulations! I know that you will be awesome.
On other Nintendo news? check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yl_XPkcTl4 it is awesome! I was so happy to watch it I almost put away my 16-bit to pull out super Mario brothers one. Until I remembered that I own Super Mario all-stars.
*takes bow* Thank you Maxpower and everyone, It is a great honor, and I'll be happy to be working with Captain Kirk aka the big cheese around here now in keeping this club active and making sure it's still one of the greatest at TFF.
Yeah I've seen that video too, it's crazy! Speaking of old nes games, it was monday yesterday so you know that means...new VC games. This week they released three nes classics, Kirby's Adventure, Ice Climbers, and Kid Icarus! I'm happy to see Kid Icarus, it's a classic game from Intelligent Systems, who were responsible for the original Metroid games.
Another new game I am really looking forward to is the new Sonic game for the Wii. I've noticed that the PS3 and Xbox360 Sonic games have been getting awful reviews, but the Wii game is a completely different experience and it sounds like they are putting a lot of work into it. Let's just hope it returns sonic to his greatness, because a lot of people think Sega should put sonic to rest, after such lackluster game releases. I mean, let's be honest, he certainly is no Mario right?
IGN has had a lot of interesting articles and features regarding the Wii lately. One of the articles that really caught my attention was the interview of Julian Eggebrecht, president of Factor 5. As you know Factor 5 has been a great asset to Nintendo since their Nintendo 64 days, bringing the Rogue Squadron series to their consoles. Basically what he is saying in the interview is that the Wii developers are sloppy, that they aren't doing enough. Do people agree, that developers have yet to tap the potential of Nintendo's newest console?
..oh yeah and Miyamoto recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the GDC (Game Developers Conference). THREE CHEERS FOR NINTENDO!

THAT video is WICKED!
I have played the first mario games jff but I never acutally spent that much time trying to beat them, and this person just does it in minutes! not only that but they jump at EXACTLY the right time to avoid danger. It's crazy, I tell ya!
well since it's gameboy news for me I'll tell ya, I beat KH Chain Of Memories, in about a week (not in minutes, that's probably impossible) and I found the game to be awesome, especially when you have 9 hour flights to and from your vacation destination. again THAT VIDEO IS WICKED
Yeah it is pretty insane no doubt, but very fishy at the same time. I think it's good to point out like a lot of people commented on youtube that he is using an emulator, which is somewhat cheating the system already. Even then though, there were A LOT of very questionable times, ones where he probably should have died. These were two big ones that I saw. The first is at 4:49 when he went down a pipe while it was still poking its head out, and the second at 4:59 when it looks like he should have been killed by the fire, infact he does it again a few seconds later in the same part.
Anyhoo, impressive none the less, but it wreaks of cheating to me but I could be wrong.
