Well, it's not by any means a bad neighborhood... just a handful of bad kids. The area was really calm and such up until about a month ago when one of those kids pulled a gun on my friend's little brother. Then they broke into his cousin's car and stole $200 worth of CDs and a pair of knives as well as a handful of other odds and ends. Last night, we finally got the cops involved because we saw the thief loitering in the middle of the street when we got back from the movie we'd gone to see. Since we had concrete proof that this kid was the thief (one of the other brothers saw him with one of the unique mix CDs at work yesterday), we managed to get a pair of patrol cars involved.
It didn't get messy, but now their house is a marked house. Half an hour after the cops FINALLY left (mind you, it was nearly 4am this morning), three cars stopped just down the street, all of them running headlights and pointing at Drew's house. Then they started rolling by one at a time, slowly, over and over all morning. Yeah... it wasn't the ideal situation. I ended up staying over since I knew I could stay up until seven or eight with ease, and I basically sat under a window and watched all night.
Ridiculous shit, if you ask me.
