I've found that over time I've become less and less of a metal fan.. I dunno what that's about, really.
I know that I started listening to all sorts of metal when I was about eleven and then death metal when I was thirteen.. I guess I'd kind of just grown out of it by fifteen. I still love metal, but I'm not going to listen to it absolutely all the time.
The album I'm listening to -right now, at the moment- is the Laced/Unlaced album by Emilie Autumn. It's entirely instrumental.. The first disc is a remake of her original classical album "On a day.." and it features a bunch of covers of other classical pieces, along with some of her own.. It's beautiful to relax to.
The next part is "Unlaced". She describes this is "Violindustrial". I don't see the industrial in it.. But okay. Alot call it Neoclassical [a contradiction of terms?]?. That's something I love alot about her.. Even in the songs where she's singing her violin says just as much as her voice. You could follow the violin through the song forgetting about the lyrics entirely and still get the tone of it..
Oh, a couple of you might recognise her from the Saw III and Saw IV soundtracks. Look for "Organ Grinder [I love this..]" and "Dead is the New Alive" [also pretty good.]
Have an unlaced. I couldn't find decent audio of this one live, sorries =(
If you like that, I'd also try typing in "Manic Depression", "Organ Grinder" and "Leech Jar".
Have her playing violin live clear as a bell.. With a faerie costume. I love this clip, I've marvelled at it over and over again. Just watch it. It's amazing o_o
Oh! I must also, like Chez, compliment Alysin's new avatar/signature set. <3. I'll rep you for it when I can.
