Y'know Loco, starting another tactics file seems mighty tempting at this moment, I must say. Unfortunately though, i still need to finish Shining Tears and Ys before I can start it up again. If only I didn't mind multitasking RPGs lol.

Heh, I mind multitasking RPGs as well, which is why the only thing I'm really playing right now is Xenosaga. Fourteen hours from Thursday and Friday, but I probably won't get any in today. That CP list in my last post was more of a "coming soon" list instead.

Arkaine, I love you. It's nothing new, because if your memory serves, I always have... but man, that was sheer brilliance. And now that we've all gotten the SU thing out of our systems, we need a topic worthy of the Cult.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm also considering changing the thread title to something a little more... cult-ish, and compact as well. The "and" just makes it funny. Tell me what you think of the recent change, and if you hate it, have Dawezy change it back. I'm just swinging by to check out the Cult and see what's going on with you guys.

Ah now that I have that tirade out of my system, I want to say how good it is to be back amongst the wonderful crowd in the OSFFC!!! I of course am still working on Tactics and no that I have an up and running system again I'm going to get the old emus going and work a game of FF VI in there somewhere, not to mention Chrono Trigger. So I think I'm gonna have my hands full for a little while.

BTW Dawezy, anytime you're ready to give lessons in those animated gifs I'm ready to learn and Jin same goes for you and the banners!!

Hey, before you dive back into FFVI, try something else for a change. Check out Cain's FFVI Tactics hack; there are links to the downloads in its respective thread here in the FFVI forum. I can't remember what it's called, and I'm too lazy to actually open a new window and look, so you'll just have to find it yourself. Cain posted in it recently with info about a new edition, so it shouldn't be hard to find.

Definitely different, and a damn good challenge. ^_^ You'd enjoy it.


I should be around a little more this weekend than I have been lately, but I'm not sure how that'll change after Tuesday. First appointment with the neurosurgeon, so I'm sure the surgery won't be right then, but it's sometime soon. I may just mysteriously disappear, so deal with it. Oh, and you can catch the specifics here.

Cant say much more then, I've been hooked into FFXI for the last few days. I've forgotten whats been going on in the real world, they assassinated that new pope yet? .. onto other news, here is where I was brutally slaughtered along side the rest of the alliance we had going .. the dumbass Jap's decided to move camp RIGHT NEXT TO where some Undead guys spawn, who aggro to low HP counts. Was funny, actually, we got wiped out so quickly. XD

But here is some blasphemy, one of my closer buddies in the game is a Paladin. gasp! Here be a shot of me and herself. ^.^ You can tell that our jobs are completely opposite just by the armour we have equipped, lol, and the fact that I can slaugher things in 1/4 time she can.

Been playing Sonic Mega Collection a bit too, good'ol blue fuzzball.



EDIT: and oh, I'll be going interstate for a few days from the 3rd up until the 6th, 7th or 8th.. not sure what the plans are fully.

I'm almost considering tossing it up on my slab of TFF's webspace, but I'm somewhat hesitant about it, simply because it's a rather large .zip file, and I've got no idea how many people are gonna eat bandwidth while downloading it...

So yeah. Ask him. And then laugh your asses off.

Well, it seems like we've run low on topics of conversation here in the Cult, so let's bring it back home with some good ole fashioned Old Skool hijinks. I want everyone who has any sort of spare time to fire up a system (or an emulator) of the 8-bit era and play an RPG you haven't touched in a while.

For me, I'm about to start up Crystalis for the NES. I'm actually going to play the ROM of it, but I do have the game sitting upstairs with all of my other NES gems. Psiko sent it to me for Christmas; made me a very happy camper. Haven't played much of it, honestly, so I figured I'd dive back in right here and now. Literally. I'm gonna start in a few minutes. ^_^;;

Heh, in light of the Colt starting a fresh game of IIIj.. I decided to boot up IIj and work on it, the stats on my guys arent much to look at now but I'll build the bastards up believe you me. I'm currently up to the Mythril Mine, behind the Semite Falls. Had a funky canoe ride to get there wee. Instead of uploading a screenshot because im a lazy prick I'll just list the basic details here.

As you may notice from that, im trying to focus on Maria getting her damn MP to grow and grow, she is going to be the main mage of the group.. Minh is one of the stoyrline characters hence his uber figures ontop of the rest of the crew. Bleh, he couldnt swat a fly though, heh.

The surgery is a definite, though there's still no set date. Either the end of next week, or the start of the week after. On Monday, I've gotta do a nuclear scan, where they inject me with radioactive materials and scan the kidney while they watch where my pee goes.

...weird, right? I thought so too. Anyway, it sucks, but I'll be happier when I get it all behind me. Six weeks of bedrest after surgery though, so I don't know how much I might be on the computer. Ideally, all the time, playing FFXI and FFLegends with you guys... but after having a robot dig through my back and splice into my left kidney, I don't know how much sitting up I may be able to do.

Eh... it's okay though. I'm really nervous about it, but I'll be glad when it's over with.


Scorp, when you get a chance, take part in the Cult's current activity... firing up a cartridge (or ROM) from the 8bit era that you haven't played in a long time. It'll give you something to do in your boredom.

Yeah, my ADSL is still being a fucking slut and constantly disconnecting anytime I send a byte of data over the wireless network. Damn thing, after all the phone company technicians coming around to our house to check out the problem.. its all been perfect, the condition of the network that is. So we have pinned it down to the damn modem/routers themselves for shitting us around.. if its not them, then fuck.. whats one to do eh?

Playin FFIIj, and I'm getting some quite impressive stats.. too lazy to upload the damn thing though.

Actually, I won't be slurping jack shit. It's an injection, right into the bloodstream. My grandfather had to do one a while back for his prostate, and they injected him in the shoulder. Dunno where they might stab me with the needle though. The information I read said that every test is different, so they could be putting the needle right into my kidney for all I know.

You know, maybe you and I need to move off of the ADSL and onto some sort of cable connection instead. Then, FFXI will run faster, too.

Lately, I've been playing a lot of the first Knights of the Old Republic game. I absolutely was not expecting it to be as good as it is lol. It's 3rd edition D&D, fitted for star wars and up on screen. Now normally, I hate 3rd edition, but only because it takes for freaking ever. When you have a gaming system to do it for you, chaching!
Can't wait to play the second one!

Afraid I've gotta argue with that 3rd Edition D&D concept Jin, it's actually just based off of the Star Wars RPG paper&dice games. Not sure exactly what version they're on, but I've played them here lately, and it didn't seem quite like D&D to me. But you're right about one thing, its definitely easier when you have the game do it for you. Even with the somewhat simplified system of the Star Wars games.

heh, trust me, it's D&D. The star wars game is just 3rd edition D&D made for star wars. It has the skills, the feats, the stat up every 4 levels, etc. It's exactly the same in every aspect except the setting. I'll bet you anything that the star wars game you speak of is published by Wizards of the Coast (D&D publishers)

On Monday, I literally got to watch my left kidney fail. Tomorrow I head back to the urologist and he'll give me an official diagnosis, but I'm not an idiot. I watched the monitor during the scan. The right kidney was working overtime, but did everything like it was supposed to. The left kidney accounted for, at most, ten percent of the workload... maybe. So yeah, it's practically dead. There's a decent chance it'll be coming out altogether. At least I've got one good one, right?
