WTF Weather

Is anyone else experiencing wtf weather where they live. You know when you walk outside and immediately say wtf. For the past week it has been in the low 70's here. Kinda crazy for Feb. in Kentucky.

Kind of, I live in the snow belt of Canada. Whenever I go home (To Oshawa, Ont), it's a completely different climate. It's an hour and a half drive away, and there is almost minimal snow, then it rains, then it's warm, then it snows again. It's been doing a cycle of that all 'winter'. This isn't even a winter here.

Also, there isn't as much snow where I currently am (Barrie, Ont), but it's still kind of wacky. I haven't needed to wear more than a sweater, boarding gloves and a hat. That's just on the coldest of days. On normal days, I just wear a sweater and a scarf for warmth. Even then, that gets a bit much because I tend to walk at a faster pace to school, and I'm almost sweating by the time I get to the school. I have a naturally warm body temp anyway. It's weird compared to what I'm used to.

We're afraid that by the end of feb, all of the hills will be closed and we can't go snowboarding :/

When I woke up this morning I wasn't really thrilled to find out that everything outside is under at least 10 cm of snow, which is kinda a big deal here since it usually snows in this area once every five years or so, even then if we're really "lucky".

Utah has some pretty stupidly crazy weather. One day you'll have a 75 degree with a slight breeze, the next will be 5 inches of snow.

I am not just experiencing it, I am enjoying it! It isn't low 70s, but upper 50s-low 60s is great here in Ohio. I went to work this morning in shorts and a light coat. It was a little chilly (37 degrees Fahrenheit), and my arms get cold out on the bike. All throughout my route people were staring at me. It was like they had never seen my legs before. I even got an "offer" today. But that has to wait for my journal entry tonight. Granted, I don't usually show them off until at least mid-March.

Anyway, on my way home, I tied the jacket around my waist and finished the ride with a T-shirt.

Today is another great day for kite flying!

Been fairly warm for a while in my part of Arkansas too. I'm sure that will give way to biting coldness soon enough though. Still remember a couple of years ago when we were hit with a snowstorm when my cousins were out of school for Spring Break. Oh well. Snow can be fun too.

Never been to Ireland, but have heard several crazy stories about the weather there.

The weather never surprises me. I control the weather, because I'm awesome, so if I tell it to be cold, it's cold. If I tell it to be hot, it's hot. I usually tell it to be at a decent and comfortable temperature, which is why Southern California has such nice weather much of the time.

Much the same as Britain. Where I am we can literally have four seasons in a day. :/ I can look out of my window one minute and it's bright sunshine, the next it can be overcast. This morning I stepped out into a light dusting of snow. I'm so lucky I didn't slip as I was wearing pumps. I caught a taxi back home and into work; the poor guy was sliding all over the place and had to go backdownhill with no brakes to avoid spinning out. Thankfully the main road had been treated so it wasn't too bad the rest of the way.

First serious snow today here in little old Belgium.

Winter was very mellow here. I remember New Year's eve. The weather during the night was not cold at all. People had no trouble standing outside of pubs chatting and being all new year's eve like. It seems the closer we get to the end of the winter, the colder it actually gets. Freezing cold past few days.

Oh. Also neighbouring town, or even two sides of the same town, can have very different weathers. A couple towns over, Boston, had two feet of snow this morning, we had a light dusting. It's about 35 or so miles away.

One time it was raining heavily where my work is yet when I got home the ground was completely dry. Bearing in mind work is only a mile down the road. WTF indeed. o_O

Yeah there has LITERALLY BEEN ABSOLUTELY NO WINTER where I live so far. NONE. I went to the frickin' beach last week. Who the hell goes to the beach in winter? Sure, I live in the South but it's not Florida or anything. Crazy ass weather.

I see from the posts that maybe its just us on the North American continent then? Wisconsin really hasnt seen much snow in the southern part. Usually we have a few feet on the ground and its cold very cold average high of 34. This year snow? not so much ... the snowmobile people are crying and the dealership is deader than dead. Its was 50 degrees here on Tuesday. Just totally crazy weather.

These couple of few days have been the worst I've seen in ages, this area was definitely not prepared enough for this kind of weather. All major paths are blocked, there was no electricity for nearly two days, and the water pipes are still frozen. Luckily, a lot of us joined forces to get out of this nasty situation as fast as possible and I'm glad to say everything is already looking way better.

Not usually. I'm ore or less used to the weather here which has a habit of changing its mind quite often. If you're coming to England in the middle of summer, pack a jumper or two and an umbrella, just in case.

I was on the way to work a few months ago, and the sky wasn't exactly clear, but it didn't look like it was about to rain either. So I didn't bother with my umbrella. I was halfway to the bus stop, and it ****ing started to pour down. I was drenched when I got to the bus stop. The second I got to work, the clouds had cleared off and the sun was out. My shift wasn't very comfortable that day. ¬¬

We have snow at the moment, but that was expected. It's been very cold here for a week or so. Just surprised it hadn't happened sooner.

lol, it is true, funky weather nowadays, huh? Normally, where I live in California, USA, we have cold rainy winters for months, but this year, there were literally only TWO days of rain! O.O;; Yeppers, that odd. ^_^;

I live in TN and really...it feels like winter one minute and spring the next. Literally for the past couple of weeks it has gone from 62 degrees to 30 degrees the next day. Instead of getting snow,like we should be getting,we are getting thunderstorms and such...

We always have some crazy weather in Australia after years of serious drought we are now getting above average rainfall across the whole country for the last few years.
We had a very short winter and we had a cold week in late spring early summer.

Blame it on the El Nina and El Nino damn those climate changes.
