Does weather affect your mood?

I find on sunny days and warm days, that im much more happier. Although I love thunderstorms and rain, I find that on cold gloomy days im just sort of blue. Its an odd feeling. Because at one point, I erally enjoy when it rains heavily, and another it makes me sad. I also feel gloomy at nightfall, which is why I look forward to daylight savings so much. It doesnt usually get dark until around 8:30 past october. Do/have you felt the same way?

I'm happier on colder and/or cloudy days and rain or snow being a big plus. I just like the feeling of staying indoors, trying to keep warm, while it's cold outside with rain or snow. Just a cozy feeling.

I remember going for holiday there and having to change my time back since you dont have it there. It was all good for me, Meant I got an extra hour at the theme parks, haha. Is there a reason Queensland doesn't have daylight savings?

Daylight savings (or whatever; the one that occurs in spring) sucks! I work an overnight job and it's not necessarily a set shift. We go in at 10 PM and we don't have a set time where we get out. We leave when our work for the night is done. So, when time jumps ahead an hour, we basically lose an our to work, so we're pretty much getting out a whole hour later than what we normally would have. It sucks. But of course, it's the total opposite in the fall (it's coming up, too! ). We get an extra hour to work, so we're basically getting out an hour before we would have. I love it.

Aha! So YOU'RE the one that causes the confusion at the airports every time daylight savings comes into affect. It confuses EVERYONE!! I hate it!

Anyway, back on topic. I'm a bit indifferent. I love rain, and thunderstorms and snow(especially snow), but I also love sunshine and warm days. To an extent of course. I don't like it when it's too hot. I get sick to my stomach. It takes a while for that feeling to go away too. Even when I'm hydrated. I prefer cool/frigid cold sunny days over the warm sunny days. It's my happy place.

I've had a few roommates where their mood changes with the weather. I find it weird. Especially when I have to live with it. At least I know which days to leave them alone .

I'm the same man. I love winter so much, although I have had a lot of downers during winter. I also enjoy summer and I'm sure statistically I would have more happy days in summer than winter.

There is actually diagnosis for it. S.A.D, Seasonal Affectionate Disorder. Some people suffer so bad they are required to take medication for it during the winter months and I've heard of people actually emigrating to countries with hotter climates.

Same here, cant wait to fire up the barbie after its winter hibernation. While i enjoy winter i hate those days when it rains constantly and then gets heavier when im walking to my next class. On days when its clear and not unbareably hot i find im really happy but when its raining/muggy i want to punch the nearest punchable thing.

Not really. My mood depends on what I'm doing. Whether it's boring, hard, or if friends are involved.

Weather only comes into play in terms of determining what I'm doing. Summer = warm, settled weather = more time with friends = happy. Winter = cold, rainy days = more time with my books, music and video games = happy.

I usually get irratable when it rains,storms,etc. I am usually cheerful,happy,and sometimes hyper when it is sunny outside.

I know what you mean. When it's hot, I can't sleep for nothing. I just lie there, sweating. When it's cold, I crash out even faster than normal, if anything.

It was really really hot the other day and in about an hour's time, it got cloudy and started raining. It cooled everything down so much, I wish it would happen every day. If I could live somewhere where it rained everyday, I probably would.

@Rowan and Nikkie, Queensland doesn't have daylight savings because we are smart it doesn't seem common sense to move forward the clock by an hour if you really want 6am to be 7am just start work at 6am.
But on a serious note as far as I know Queenslands daylight is fairly homogeneous throughout the year and mostly sub-tropical and hot especially northern QLD so there would be no point as far as I can remember it only varies an hour at the most in winter.

Anyway to answer the question weather only affects me if I have something to do that the weather restricts me, and at bedtime its easier to get warm and harder to cool down. On a light note when it rains I get wet.

I grew up in Arizona, and I love hot days. The hotter, the better. Days I hated back then was monsoon season. I can't stand torrential rain. Even now, in Ohio, I don't like rainy days. Because it makes it so humid after it's done raining. I don't like winter. Mainly because I have to deliver in the snow. There is nothing I don't like more than riding my bike in 8 inches of snow.

So my best days are when it is hot, but not humid. I like rainy days, but only if it is a light rain, and doesn't last a week.

Unless the weather affects my plans for the day, it really doesn't change my mood at all. Though it can annoy me at times (sun's so bright I can't look up at the sky, heavy rain is keeping me from finding an address I need to get to, etc.).

The only way weather can affect my mood if it's interfering with something I have to do, other than that, no, it doesn't affect my mood. I do love hot summer days more than anything, winter however has it's charms as well.

The weather only affects my mood when it's in the extreme, boiling hot or freezing cold. Humidity bothers me more than temperature. I do prefer cold days to hot ones in general, but it's no fun cycling in early morning on defrosted roads with ice needles smacking your face, feels like you're up against diamond dust or something... but anything is better than sweating nonstop!

When it's overcast/rainy and i'm in the suburbs or city, i just love to stay indoors and write. Something about the glum mood manages to get my creative juices flowing. On sunny days, i like to go out for a walk maybe or go visit my family or on the odd occasion one of my friends that i haven't seen for ages. Or go to the gym.
