I'm the opposite. I hate having the TV on. Especially when no one is watching it. If it's on, I'll get distracted.
EDIT: I also found that I need to move my foot in order to sleep. This comes from when I was a child, I used to head bang before going to sleep. DON'T ASK! In order to stop that, I tried to find different ways to counter it. Moving my foot or my hips was the best way. When I'm sleeping alone, I'mm move my hips. When I'm sleeping with someone, I'll just move my foot. It's comforting.
