What unusual do you have?

Not bad habits we all have bad habits I want to know if you have a habit of doing something weird.

For example when I drink coffee or tea I have a habit to swish it through my top gums them through my teeth I don't know why but I do.

I like the smell of pencils. I buy these:



and they are the real deal, man! Smells like really good wood, I love that smell. So if I'm at the library or working on a paper you can usually catch me sniffing my pencil. It probably looks weird as hell but it smells good, dammit!

Pretending to text in awkward situations is my favorite one, but it's only if I feel really awkward or extremely uncomfortable for some reason lol not all the time.

A habit that I have is that if I'm bored in class, I'll start playing with my lips, I don't know either...I also can never sit normal, I have to slouch or put my feet up on something like the book rack of the chair in front of me or cross my legs or something. um, when I write I stick my pinky out, I can't help it.

When I drive I lean forward like I'm racing lol.

Oh, also if I watch something that looks like it hurts like surgery, I can watch it no problem but my hands start to feel numb O.o;

I drink coffee at night.

I crave Doritos at random times of the night.

I brush my teeth like five times a day randomly.

When I eat Kit Kats (the candy) I like to only eat the wafers most of the time, sometimes I'll melt it in the microwave and eat it like that. yeah I know it's weird.

I drink too much Dr.Pepper.

I have to smell everything before I put it in my mouth which is why i find it hard to eat strong smelling foods like pickles. I also have a habit of smelling manuals after i buy new games. Probably my favourite smell is that new manual smell. Or new DVDs where you can still smell the ink.

I draw Xs over the back of my hands with indelible markers. I keep four pens to take apart and rearrange the separate pieces in order of height during classes(keeping a fifth to write with). I spend hours in the bath. I make my bed the same way they make medical beds(father's influence). I compulsively keep an Amethyst on my person for good luck(birthstone).

Well, if I have to mention odd habits...I sleep with a fan (no air conditioner, no money to pay for one). That in itself is not weird, except I have to sleep with the fan facing from my feet to my head. I can't sleep well if I don't have a chilly air in my feet, and something to distribute that air.

In that regard, I usually regulate my temperature through my feet. Not at levels of ridiculousness, but usually if it's a bit chilly I can get socks and stand the cold, or if it's hot, I wet my feet and try to cool them so I don't feel the heat.

To that...I don't wear tennis. I have a repulsion for shoes, so I mostly wear sandals to virtually anywhere. Find them more comfortable than sneakers, I say. It also implies that I have to wear insoles and spray my feet with foot deodorant because my feet exude a pretty strong sweat.

I bathe in cold water. Which is usually not bad, given that I live on a tropical climate. Wintertime (not exactly a snowy winter but its colder than summer, of course) is a bit colder than usual. To counter the fact there's no water heater anywhere, I tend to make the shower drip some water at first, then rub the soap bar where it's wet, then open the shower and clean that up. Somehow, it makes the water less cold than it is, and thus I can shower pretty well.

Oh, and order of bathing? Arms first, then torso, then all the way down to the feet, then the head. Face and hair is usually the last thing. It's also a bit layered depending on whether I have to bathe quickly or slowly.

I could think of other odd habits, but I find I'm not so particularly weird.

I have a habit for not finishing my games. Seriously, when I know/guess the game is about to finish, I don't want to know the ending. Especially when I've only had the game a day. When I first got my PS3, I only had Assassins Creed for three months. I still haven't finished it (mainly because my PS3 screwed up, so I lost the data, and couldn't be bothered to do everything all over again). -__-;

When I'm bored in class, I play with my nails. I don't pick them, but align them with the opposite nail, trying to get a smooth curve going. It hurts like hell if your nail slips under the other one, but it keeps me entertained... strangely. Or I bite my lips, which isn't a good thing, so the nail thing takes my mind off it. >>;

When I make tea, and I'm waiting for the teabag to stew, I balance the teaspoon on the top of the cup.

I also fold my notes (money). I don't have a flat wallet, so I fold them to put in my bus pass holder.

During this, I tend to start smiling and/or giggling to myself, which make other people give me the ?_? face. I like listening to Cascada. I also sleep with my Halo 3 copy under my pillow each night, it's like a good luck charm.

One thing I notice myself that's pretty unusual is that if I stand somewhere in one place for too long, I put my right leg on the thigh of my left leg and stand like that. It looks like I'm sort of doing the tree pose or something, but I leave my arms down. I do it mostly when I brush my teeth (at the sink ).

I think I mentioned this before, but I have a habit of tapping my fingers if I'm bored or if I have a song in my head. Today, before my history exam, I treated everyone around me to a little Oblivion by Mastodon. I feel like they should have tipped me for my performance. Ungrateful bastards.

Sometimes I don't close the shades when I whack off. Haven't heard any complaints from the neighbors.

In all seriousness though, I'm a total backwards sleeper. In the winter I'll pass out on top of my comforter, but in the summer I'll sleep under a super thin blanket.

Hm, the first one that comes to mind is clenching my jaw. If I'm concentrating on something or about to do something like.. I don't know.. Go to pat my dog. I realise I've clenched my jaw. I don't do this much anymore because I've realised I do it. I used to be really annoying.

Another one would be day dreaming. I could be here one minute and then up in another room the next and I can't even remember why I wanted to be in said room.

And buying video games. I guess it's not an unusual habit. But I have over 80 I haven't started. It's so bad. I feel a bit guilty. I need to get started. =].

I tend to flip a locke of my hair when I'm thinking(I'm a dude) and I put my legs in various positions when I'm standing in one place( cross them do the same as dodie, etc) and when I sit down from a standing position I throw my legs in a crossed position and catch myself with my hands.

Hmm let me think. I have a few habits. I wouldn't call them unusual, but my room mate thinks that they are. For starter's in the morning when I am tired as shit I will piss sitting down. My roomie says only chicks do that, but you know when I wake up at five in the morning it is the noly thing I can do to keep myself up.

I had a friend in High School. He would smell people chairs when they would get up. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. But after talking to a few people apparently it isn't as uncommon as I thought. Who knew...

A strange habit I have is when I am in a public restroom I will often switch urinals while pissing. I don't know why it just feels uncomfortable at times...

I have a habit of looking for inappropriate things to say when when the situation doesn't call for it. I also make very lame jokes. Sometimes these two habits intersect, so you get an inappropriate lame joke. I use it as a defense mechanism for my shyness. It helps break tension in social situations, which makes it easier for me to communicate with other people.

I also curl my hair when I'm thinking, tired, or stressed. I've done it all my life, and it tends to work very well as a relaxation technique.
