TFF Awards 2009 - Nomination Round

It's that time again. The end of the year approaches, so it's time to crank out some awards. For those of you who are new, please read the rules we've been using the last few years to handle nominations. Neo Necron came up with the system, and it has worked very well.

(1) For each category, you may nominate 2 members.
You may not nominate the following:
- Yourself
- Non-members (that probably goes without say, but I wanted to make sure)
- Ex-members
- Members who haven't shown any activity for a while (This rule is laid back, though. You may use your own judgment here, but if we disagree with that judgment we'll say. Say about a month of inactivity)

(2) For each category, up to four members will be picked to move through to the voting round. However, 1 member can only make it through to voting for 3 categories only. This is to prevent one member getting a large amount of awards. Couple categories or club categories won't count towards your three.
In other words, if a member receives enough nominations to get into voting for categories W, X, Y and Z, we will remove them from the voting round for W,X,Y or Z (based on how many nominations they have in each) and should we pick, say, X, another nominee will take that place in voting for that category.
I know that's all confusing, but worry not. It will all be nice and fair and we'll all be very very very happy.

(3) We will then move through to the voting round. For each category, you may vote for 1 of the four nominees. Most votes wins.

I'm planning on asking the BAU to come up with the award tags this year. You all can make it a group project, or pick someone you trust to get them all done in a timely manner. To anyone wanting to create tags: Please consider the amount of time you have available to you. If you will not have time to complete these tags by the time the results are ready, please let someone else take on the project.

I figure two weeks is fair for nominations. So on Sunday, December 13th, I'll close the Nomination Thread, count them using our handy system, and post the voting thread within a couple days.

EDIT: Also, we will be having an RP Ball centered around the awards for those who want to participate, and it will start around the beginning of the Voting round. So start looking for a date now.

Also please remember this is for 2009 only. Think of it like the Oscars. Stars Wars can't be nominated for best special effects in 2009 because it wasn't made in the correct time frame. So remember to think about only this year when make yours decisions.
