    Innocent Christians brutalized by gays!

Christian group attacked by gays - Reformed Chicks Blabbing
This is a group that's been meeting and praying for awhile in the Castro district of SF. Now, because of Prop. 8, the gays have decided to take out their anger, hatred and frustration on a group of people who were just praying, not protesting or stopping them from doing what they want to do, just praying. Here's the MSM whitewash of the incident:

In San Francisco's Castro District, people on both sides of the same-sex marriage controversy confronted each other on Friday night, as police tried to keep the peace. Proposition 8 passed in a close vote and eliminated the right of same-sex couples to marry.
Members of the gay community said that almost every Friday night, a Christian group meets at the corner of Castro and 18th Streets. They try to convert gays and lesbians into a straight lifestyle.

This Friday night, the message didn't go over well. Some gays and lesbians reacted by trying to chase the group out of the Castro.

"Their rights were respected," said Joe Schmitz, an opponent of Prop 8. "They got a chance to go ahead and pray on the sidewalk and I had the opportunity to express my freedom of speech which is telling them to get out of my neighborhood."

San Francisco Police officers in riot gear formed a line and escorted the religious group into a van to safely get them out of the area.

Members of the gay community insisted that their reaction to the Christian group was spontaneous. "It was not an organized thing. We're tired of it. It's not religious. It's not a racial thing. It's about hate. We're trying to send a message across the world that we're standing up and we don't want this to go on anymore," said Adam Quintero.

If gays want to act like fascists, they'll lose any sympathy they may have over this issue. They're not really helping their cause with these protests and fascist witch hunts and I thought they were getting that. I guess not. Bullying Christians isn't going to get them anywhere, they're not easily intimidated. They've faced far worse foes than angry gays blowing whistles.

One thing is clear from the video, these guys want nothing to do with Christians or our message of redemption in Jesus Christ. That came out loud and clear when one of the fascists yelled that Christians should stay out of their neighborhood. The gospel appears to be collateral damage in this war over state sanctioned marriage.

    ____________________________

I for one am shocked and appalled that the gays in this article are so intolerant of Christians singing and praying. I'm sure it wasn't Rodgers and Hammerstein quality singing, but cmon!

So it's not okay for gays to stand up for themselves but its okay for christians to put out hate remarks and all that stuff? Thats rediculous. I say good for them, let them get their message out however way they want and hopefully maybe some people will listen.
I will say that yea maybe they shouldnt have targeted this one group cause all they did was pray but still. Christians have been far worse about this subject.

Haha, very true point there. As far as I can recall, Christians have been used for human torches and literally fed to the lions back in 64 AD back in ancient Rome. Hell, the Christians have been blamed for an entire fire of one of the biggest cities in the world at that time. That isn't unlike the 2001 attacks of 9/11, with a religion getting the bad rap for it, amirite? In any case, the belief of religion (in general) has been more popular and more widely practiced than the belief of homosexuality, and I'm sure that homosexuals targeting a belief that around 30-35% of the entire world is a part of will realize that the stupidity of their actions are not going to get their point across.

Good article Pete, let us all have some healthy discussion in here! We sure wouldn't want this thread to get BAWWWWLeeted like the last one!

... Well, at least things a a tad on the fair side. Ish.

    To be fair, the gay guys were in the wrong. BUT, and that is a BIG BUT, Christians seem to have more against gay people than gay people have with them. In a way, they did deserve it, but... Its not right that people should be resorting to violence to settle something that could be sorted out over a nice cuppa tea. With cookies. ^^;;

I can't wait for the day when either gay and Christian people shake hands, or when God decides he is alive afterall, and smashes their heads together. Not that I believe the later will ever happen, it was just a thought to try and make you laugh.

    ...

I back in the game! XD

Gays need to realize that the bible considers homosexuality a sin, so they should probably just leave Christians to their prayers. The Christians have the right to pray, and getting defensive about that invades the first amendment. Christians need to realize that homosexuality isn't a choice, and can't be changed. San Francisco needs to realize that they have a city with many gay people, and in order to keep the peace, same-sex marriage has to be legalized.

Really? Do I seem to have more against gay people then they do with me? In any case, if TFF was the real world (God forbid...cwutididthere?!), then your statement would be very much inversely correlated to the truth.

In my opinion, I think both of those points are very debateable, but nonetheless, you bring up very good points that the communities should respect each other. +rep and kudos to you sir!

Nah nah nah... I didn't mean Christians in general - these particular Christians who have issues with gay people. I wasn't picking on you or any other Christian in particular, just the group who are against it.

    Gawd, maybe I should stop replying to these damned religion and gay threads - all I do is say the wrong thing and insult/get proved wrong by someone without meaning to... -__-;;

I think one of those gays summed this up very well.

Something along the lines of that if Christians didn't like what they believe and wouldn't respect their choices, they should just leave them alone. I got no clue why people can't just get along peacefully and allow others the things they'd want if the positions were reversed. No, as it is in parts of the US now, I'd personally say build a ****ing fence, but then I fear some Christians are gay. Teh hurrurs.

Same way I'd chase anyone away who was trying to make me change in a way I shouldn't be expected to. I'd laugh at the thought of a group of gays performing acts of homosexuality inside a place swarming with conservative Christians. Like the Christians trying to convert gays and practice acts of Christianity in this case it's asking for trouble. Rubbing people's faces in it and all, ya know?

I wholeheartly agree with this post. As it stands both sides are asking for serious trouble. I especially hate it when Christians put on those airs and post advertisments about "Help For The Homosexual, and those Christian t.v shows like TBN and Daystar most of the preachers I've heard on there just downright hate homosexuals with a passion. If you ever see them, you can see it in the way they speak it, and their posture and eyes, yet they preach love, unity and equality for all, isn't that hypocritical?

    @ Jin:

Haha. Pete, I hope you and Phantom keep this going for months. I don't remember the last time I've been this amused on this forum.

You think I like all this going on? I don't know about you but I hardly see this as something to be amused about, well for you I can see it.

    @ Dr. Egon:

Gays need to realize that the bible considers homosexuality a sin, so they should probably just leave Christians to their prayers. The Christians have the right to pray, and getting defensive about that invades the first amendment. Christians need to realize that homosexuality isn't a choice, and can't be changed. San Francisco needs to realize that they have a city with many gay people, and in order to keep the peace, same-sex marriage has to be legalized.

So frickin true. Rep for you.

    Last one:

    @ Rocky:

In any case, the belief of religion (in general) has been more popular and more widely practiced than the belief of homosexuality, and I'm sure that homosexuals targeting a belief that around 30-35% of the entire world is a part of will realize that the stupidity of their actions are not going to get their point across.

Wow, I never knew homosexuality was a religion! I feel honored, truely....honored.

and I'm sure that homosexuals targeting a belief that around 30-35% of the entire world is a part of will realize that the stupidity of their actions are not going to get their point across.

Oh no Rocky ma man, the point has already been established, this is just a step to make it clear. The real stupidity here is the fact of how this all started, is still continuing, and if it will ever end. Until it ends it will no doubt continue. Personally I hate the fact this discrimination toward gays is spreading even more, most are being violence and deadly on both sides. And I agree with Entity that:

To be fair, the gay guys were in the wrong. BUT, and that is a BIG BUT, Christians seem to have more against gay people than gay people have with them. In a way, they did deserve it, but... Its not right that people should be resorting to violence to settle something that could be sorted out over a nice cuppa tea.

I didn't mean Christians in general - these particular Christians who have issues with gay people.

Both sides are in the wrong, and to be honest gays didn't start off shunning Christians, Chrisitans were the ones that lit the fuel to this fire in the first place eons ago, they should take some responsbility to, especially for this continued discrimination. I agree with Entity that violence is not the way to solve or resolve these issues but you can't say that Christians not all but some have deserved it. Yes, Entity I wish this could be settled with cookies and tea too.

    Oh:
I can't wait for the day when either gay and Christian people shake hands

Hun, I agree. I cannot wait for day when we all come together to end this futtle war.

I chuckled quite a lot when prop 8 was passed. I was quite surprised that one of the most liberal states believes that marriage is between a man and a woman. That really pissed all the gays it made me laugh at how when it was decided in an election by the people of the state and not from politicians that they lost. lmao.

And gays do need to stop their fascist like responses for it never helps always hinders. They have to do what Christianity preaches: take the high road. lol. A lot of people are so backwards.

I believe actions are worth more than words. I was pointing out how Christians have forgotten their doctrine and saying a good strategy would be to use a part of Christian doctrine against Christians, a form of guerilla warfare, without the guerillas or weapons.

    Two things
1: What does the Bible say about bisexuality?
2: The gays should stop b****ing about not being able to marry! What is the point of them getting married? Why not just live a happy life as bf and bf or gf and gf? For one, it's a sin for a Priest or w.e to perform a marriage ceremony for a homosexual. It's promoting homosexuality which is against the bible. And they call themselves priests? W.e. Anyway.. yeah. Sorry to all I offend..

The gays were in the wrong storming in, that wasn't a very smart move. But I do hate when people in general shove their beliefs down your throat and say "You have to believe this or your soul will be damned". It's like trying to turn an Atheis (Can't spell sorry) into a Christian, it can be seen as a form of harrassment by some people and that's wrong.

People should believe in and live life the way they want to. That is their right.

I agree. People should believe what thay want to believe.
I mean, it's a right, right? No one should own one another. Because it'd be the 70s' again. And I certainly do NOT want to see a christian being brutalized by a gay. As much as gays should be treated like normal people, they are NOT gods.

*We should bless those gay people's head off. Go Jesus beam, or play a requiem...Sorry for being violent.*

    EDIT----

I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to hurt anyone. I'm not even serious about it~ Really, guys. If I offended/hurted/annoyed/ticked off/etc.. anyone I am very, very sorry. I'll try not to mention anything about this. Again.
    I hope I was forgiven. If not, then I understand. v___v;;

First of all I don't have anything against Christianity or any other superstitions people make up/believe/hold on to to ease the fear of death. Its a natural human tendency.

But..... if someone was to blatantly tell me oh.... that I couldn't be a carpenter or be gay (I'm strait btw) or do any other thing that doesn't harm anyone else in any way, I'd probably react exactly the same way. Christians should stfu and let the choice of sexual orientation, abortion, and all other life choices up to the people who go through them and are affected by them.
