Well I guess the idea of this topic is have you ever turned a blind eye to someone doing something evil and ignored it and thought it's none of my business best to stay out of it.

Ok it doesn't have to be murder or anything lets just say lets just say someone who did something wrong and you didn't report them, it could be a work colleague or maybe a sibling.

Quite often having two brothers we would always dob each other in but then we would start to black mail each other as we got older.
As for outside the family I don't think I have ever really witnessed anything serious and I am not one for conflict so I usually turn a blind eye in the work force.

I suppose where I work now is an extreme exception, we are in charge of the childrens safety at school so if I ever saw something not right I would approach it myself or report it to the principal as our contract states us to do I wouldn't care if it was a parent and their child I would still intervene because that is our job and I can stand children getting abused it really pisses me off to be honest.

If it's something I don't care about the legalities of like drug use, underage drinking, jaywalking or whatever I won't give two shits about it. If someone's looking to assault someone or something I probably will get involved, unless I don't like the intended victim too much in which case I'll ignore it.

I'm not really a fan of 'dobbing people in' because I'm not really a big fan of the authorities as a whole and can often see a better resolution achieved.

long time no see , anyway I liked your topic and I'de like to participate as I get what you mean ...
As you said ever snice I was youngI didn't usually notice such prohibited
things happened nearby though my friends and sisters often noticed them and comment how fool I am not to see that and do something for It.

But really I think all of us would never accept it , seeing things which are against your morals and principles happen in front of you and you still such a still coward without expressing how much this thing is forbidden and It must be reported to the manager or whomever to have the guilty being punished
But one of those situations is that in school , I saw a girl whom I respect for once was cheating during an exam , I felt outch something hard inside my chest and I prefered not to look at her face anymore , but then I went to talk to her and she was ashamed of what she did , that was to warn her coz I know her but if she did it again I'll report it to the teacher

Next time she did it , But the teacher catched her and that was the great lesson to her.....

heh , It might be not that serious one but according to our religion which prohibits cheating , we have to abide our morals and be honest in whatever we do .
well this is the only thing I remember right now

But if you mean...illegal? Well, if you've ever turned a blind eye to something it's usually because you...

• A: disagree with it being a punishable offense.
• B: you didn't want the perpetrator to be punished
• C: you couldn't give a shit

Traditionally, I have let people get away with(and helped them get away with) many illegal activities. And I will turn a "blind eye" for a friend, unless it puts me at risk. I will report someone if they do something that I think is wrong. (torturing any living thing, stealing from little old ladies and the like, harassing or bullying someone without reason)

My foreign policy, unless it directly interferes with my private sense of justice and pride, will always be Laissez-faire.
