Crazy Dating Website Messages

I have a profile on a well known free dating website, that I use from time to time generally to just amuse myself when I am bored (that could sound wrong, depends how you read it ). I rarely receive messages because no one loves me but today I got the strangest message I have ever had the displeasure to read. Now I'm aware that this is a family friendly forum, so I will edit the message accordingly and also spoiler wrap it and remove any names/handles. (No X-rated material don't panic).

Spoiler: hey, this is gonna sound really weird but are you interested in getting paid to let me sniff your socks and feet? like i said i know it's weird, i'm not gay, just into guy's socks and feet, nothing else with guys tho. at least think about it - it's easy cash and will pay a lot. i guess u are wondering why feet, well i was always a spoilt brat growin up and got whatever i wanted, so to be 'put in my place' at a guy's feet kinda gives me a kick. i used to meet a guy and paid him to let me be at his feet, but he is in the army and now in afghanistan. we met up regularly and he made a lot of money out of it - not bad for doing nothing really!! you can use me as your very own footslave if u want and really control and humiliate me at your feet, or just leave me to sniff them, completely up to u - u are the boss - interested?

I did send a reply, humouring the person to see if it was real and apparently is. £20 for 15 minutes he says and he will travel to me! Easy money eh I found it bizarre, baffling, somewhat confusing and utterly hilarious all at the same time.

Has anyone ever had any bizarre requests from dating sites that were legit (and preferably not x-rated for the purpose of the forum)?

Ahah, I'd considered that too Lily! I just thought the message was a little too clumsily elaborate for a wind up. Could possibly be one of his friends making a mockery of his account too. Still, it's all rather amusing taken with a pinch of salt.

What kind of details do you have on your profile that you would be deemed as approachable for questionable activities by people who, lets face it, have obscure and sick motives.

You should so do it though. Give yourself a few weeks in advance of meeting so you can give your, from here on out, unwashed feet a chance to become really disgusting and then see what kind of vulgar enjoyment is derived.

I am not a member of any dating websites but I do keep getting messages on various email accounts from nigerian people who want me to send them money, and in return, I become rich.........................

Ah Smurphy, there's absolutely nothing sinister on my profile at all. Just a couple of pictures as you can probably see on my own profile here and an awkwardly written profile that is actually trying to lure females, and not crazed men with stinky feet fetishes!

He wants to buy my used unwashed socks now. £10 a pair. And no, I am not joking.

Random Nigerian emails are a real annoyance when you're trying to sell something on a website such as Loot or Gumtree (not smelly socks).

i remember me and a friend joinging one a few years ago for a laugh, we just jointly used the account when we had a night in with wine and just tormented the **** out of folk. It backfired once or twice... well alot of the time really, there are alot of men more than willing to send pictures of their willies to strange women!

All I can say though, is with messages like that, there's a good reason why he's on a free site.

As for myself, no dating sites for meeee. I like to meet people in person and yknow figure out if we click on our own merits, as opposed to what some site tells me.
