I am surprised at how much people download, only reason I do is to check it out and make sure it is worth it. But then again there are the odd shows that I like that I can't buy like Bleach (Well at least in NZ) but I will probably wait for a release here as there is heaps of other stuff I want to check out.

I don't mind dub's that much depending on the show, the one peice dubs are annoying but I quite liked the one for Berserk, Yu Yu Hakusho and DBZ. What pisses me off is the need to edit bits, like on Dragonball last night they showed the episdoe when that fortune teller wanted to see the dragonballs and he pulled down to show those boxes with the pictures of Dragonballs on them. Stupid american ratings.

I am poor and therefore I turn to youtube for my anime. I'd much rather watch the box sets myself but the damn money is tight around here. I don't watch Television often due to the lack of good shows on most channels and my inability to keep a regular schedule at home.

I watch my anime by either the box set or youtube. I can't stand watching it by the dvd. I guess I just like to keep on watching it once I've started. I've only watched it via download for one show I think. But yeah, I love my box sets and youtube. Nothing beats a full day of anime.

I watch it on TV, and sometimes I look on YouTube. It really depends on how long the episode on YouTube is. I'm not sitting around for hours waiting for an episode to load.

    So yeah. TV.

Downloading a good jap anime series is faster than waiting a year for it to be dubbed. And dubs arent usualy that great anyway.

    I dont really watch much anime like i used to. Back then I used to buy random series on VHS or DVD and see if i liked em, but i got bored of most of em fairly quickly. I think the oinly anime i found that i came to love was The Slayers ^^;;;

But yeah. since the few titles I do watch DN, S2R, D-Grayman arent gonna be in english for a loong time, i'll stick to dloading em D:

Well, most of my anime watching happens on Adult Swim, Sunday through Thursday nights. However, for some animes like Naruto I go to Youtube. In fact, I'm going to be using Youtube a lot more to catch up on episodes of other animes that I've missed. I just recently discovered it so yeah, big fan of it.

I've downloaded a couple series too, but I tend not to watch them for some reason when I do that.

I don't buy my anime. For me to buy it when I can see it for free on the internet just seems a bit dumb to me. I mean, I can understand wanting to own your favorite anime. Like, I'd probably go buy the Trigun series(my first anime) if I had any money, but other than that... nah.

i usually watch animes on television... well it depends upon the situation were some of my friends at school (when i was in High school) may buy some dvds or videotapes for us to watch...

yah i'm already an adult and right now... i don't think i have much time of watching animes... unless if some of my friends (even not a student from my school) in this college life would invite us to go to their homes and watch some anime there.. (actually we just watch asian novelas instead... hehehe

I like the animes when they come out in boxset forums, its cheaper in price than buying pieces at a time, and I don't like watching part of an anime then have to wait until the other episodes to finally come out.

I generally watch all my anime via bittorrent or animePLUS! downloads. I'll watch whatever pops on Adult Swim, but most of the shows I watch are currently airing in Japan.

I'm hooked on D.Gray-man atm. Just wish they'd cut out the drawn out episodes and get on with the good stuff.

Nobody cry and please don't throw bricks.

This will come as a shock since this whole community is basically addicted [it seems] to anime...

    but...

The way I watch anime is...

    ...

    never!

I know! I just really don't care for it much at all. I mean sure, Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away are amazing movies and I enjoy them, I really don't watch any other than that. It just got annoying... especially since at my college, the Anime Club sits in the corner of the lounge all day watching extremely annoying shows, talking in their ridiculously annoying [faux] japanese accents, and adding "kun" at the end of everyone's name... they wear those furry cat ears and have emoticon hats and clothing... omg... if I had a knife every time I heard kun...

Okay! I'm sorry, it's just that they annoy me to no end!!!

I'm glad I got that off of my chest!

    So the answer is "I don't" ^_^

I download most of the anime I watch. Actually, lately, I download all of it. Most of what I'm watching is currently airing in Japan, and some of it I doubt will ever reach over here. On top of that, a lot of dubs are fairly bad (not all), and I generally hate the type of font they usually use for subs on DVDs. ><

Buying anime is also way too expensive. I'd consider buying it if it wasn't costing over $100 for about 12-24 or so episodes or something like that. I don't know if it can be found for cheaper, but yeah. I'm not paying that much for it. -_-; I'd love to support them, but that's a bit much.

I don't really watch TV anymore, but that is how I originally got into anime. And YouTube has horrible quality videos. If I'm going to stream something online, I generally use Veoh. They have higher quality videos. And didn't they pull a lot of anime off of YouTube?

Anyway, yeah. I download almost everything I watch.

I mainly either download it myself from sites such as da-anime.org and fansub.tv, or get my brother to download it. That's how I've seen the majority of the anime that I watch. I did watch the Steel Angel Kurumi series on YouTube, though.

it depends on the series. Normally i downlaod the episodes in fansub format. If i like it enough i will purchase the DVDs. I've started waiting around for shows to come out in a box set and watch it marathon style (JUST actually competed Black Lagoon a few minutes ago). Now, some shows i can;t wait for the set (like Haruhi, or Hellsing Ultimate, each dvd release had great limited editions) so i buy the dingle releases, often one of those comes with a collectors box the the series.

Related to OP, Berserk Remastered box set comes out in March in North America for about $40 lol i'm SO getting that. I never justified the $80-$100 for the existing "Box of War" and "season 1" sets

Since I have no cable or whatever, there is no way I can watch any anime on TV. Anime that comes on TV here is also dubbed, which annoys the poo out of me, so even if I had the opportunity to watch anime on TV, I probably wouldn't. I'm always on the computer, using YouTube, Crunchy Roll, and Veoh is more convenient. Then getting up or following a TV station's programming list isn't required. It's kind of annoying that every episode of something is cut up into two or three parts, but I guess that's not too bad. Sometimes, episodes will just be loaded in full too, so it's fine.

If I ever find a boxed set of something I like though, I'll buy it. I don't like buying one DVD at a time because that feels like a waste of space. I don't want to buy anything I've already watched either (unless it's really good and I like it lots), so the internet is best.

I watch anime on Youtube usually, but sometimes crunchyroll. Youtube just puts them in parts, so it get's annoying that then you have to look for the next part, and sometimes people only put part 1 up.. so its like -_-
i don't own any DVDs of anime, probably because i don't like the stuff there is, that's not much so i stick to the internet
