When I first read this, I thought you were talking about the computer animated show called ReBoot, and was like "Where did that come from?". Haha. I just woke up when I read your post.

Signed up to Hulu again to peruse their anime section, and Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit caught my eye. I used to watch that one when it was airing on Cartoon Network, but because of work conflicts I couldn't finish it. Now I can! But first gonna watch from the beginning to brush up on what's happening.

I had the same ReBoot reaction and was all sadfaced... Glad to avoid that unesesary byte-shed .

By the way, I finished Mroibito back when it was on CN aswell, in those glorious days of DVR. It was an epic series. It's alittle slow to start, but get's very good twords the end, I think you'll enjoy it alot.

I just finished watching Chrono Crusade today. The ending was sad, but beautiful at the same time, I did cry. I cried quite a bit. I really love shows about religion, angels and devils etc. Very interesting!

Now I just started watching Trigun! Awesome

Just finished watching Dragonaut The Resonance. I must admit despite the bad rap this anime has been getting I found myself really enjoying this series. Sure like some anime it does have its flaws but overall its a really good solid sci-fi anime series. 8.5/10

Steins;Gate came in the mail today. It's a rather good show. The plot has been rather predictable from what I've seen. Judging on what I've guessed so far, I came up with an ending to the show. I really hope it doesn't come out that way.

I have finished Saki: Achiga-Hen Episode of Side-A and Yuru Yuri Season 2 today. The former finished a few minutes ago, the latter finished this morning before I left for work. Both were sequels, and both were as good as the originals. The third part of Saki should be starting next month (I believe), and no clue on whether there will be a third season to Yuru Yuri. I kinda want to see a third season, and I kinda don't. If they make one, they will most likely introduce more characters, and I like the characters in it just fine. The show has enough quirky characters as it is.

No clue as to what I will watch next.

Just finished the remake of the guyver series! Loved it

Iv always loved the original series and the remake is every bit as good a few bits different but was a nice change

I finished the series Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou this morning. It is different than other anime I have watched, in that there is no story throughout the series. It is a bunch of little skits that usually end with me laughing. It is good for a laugh. It is quite funny poking fun at the things high school boys do.

I rewatched the Hades arc of Saint Seiya with Spanish subs. But lately I have started watching Yu Yu Hakusho. Haven't made much progress since I only watch two episodes, but now I'm at episode 18, I believe. Am I the only person who can actually put up with Kuwabara's voice without much trouble? xD

Transformers Victory on youtube. It's a series from the late 80's, between '88 and 90 I think, with English subtitles and I'm loving it. It's my first real go at watching anime and as it hasn't strayed too far from what I usually watch it's not that big a step For its time it has really great animation which may explain why there are only around 30 episodes and about six of them are clip shows which add nothing to the story and the voice acting is really good too. Especially the leader of the villains, Deathsaurus (pronounced Deszaras) has possibly the best evil laugh I've ever heard. I think i'm starting to blab a bit so I'll cut it short for now.

Witchblade, it's okayish, I guess. Storywise it tries to do a lot of things, though most of it is either dropped almost instantly or halfassed. The main story is not worth mentioning, really, in fact I feel Witchblade would be better off if it was solely about mother and daughter struggling to find a place they can call home. What exactly is Witchblade, who made it, for what purpose, why it choose Masane, how the hell did she wind up in that quake epicenter and with a bay that's not hers... you'll never get an answer to those questions and many more. On a positive note, the animation looks pretty good.

Just finished watching both Dream Eater Merry and This Ugly Yet Beautiful World over the holidays.

Anime: Dream Eater Merry
Thoughts: at first glance it didn't look like much and to that extent I did wish that the ending was a little more fleshed out but overall its a very decent anime with likeable characters. Although I did wish that Yumeji played more of a part in the story, even though he was in almost every scene he couldn't do much to help and therefore the story focused more on Merry (hence the title Dream Eater Merry) but like I said, decent, just wish it didn't end so abruptly, there were so many unanswered questions and much of the story was left unfinished (possibly hinting at a second season) still I did enjoy watching it and I highly recommend it.

Anime: This Ugly Yet Beautiful World
Thoughts: there wasn't much holding this anime together and as other have pointed out the distractions of "mass amounts of porn" was at the very least a distraction, It could've done without the many nude scenes and cliches. That aside I did enjoy the story and the further along you got into the anime the episodes and plot "did" eventually get better. So if your not put off by all of the nudity in the first couple of episodes and you can get past the 7th or 8th episode then I would recommend watching it at least once.

I recently finished watching the series Demon King Daimao. I was wondering why I had a subscription to TumTiki.com on my phone bill, so I checked it out. It featured a lot of anime on it, so I found Demon King by browsing around. The show is a bit mature in its graphics (blood, partial nudity), though I was watching the censored version. The show seemed like an more adult version of Rosario + Vampire in that a singular male character has a group of females vying for his attention. Toward the end, I was kinda put off with the whole Robot Suit being one of the character's special "powers", when the rest use magic. All in all, it was able to keep boredom at bay for 5 hours. So, I recommend it to all those interested.

Black Lagoon - it's good, pretty good in fact. Superb animation, one of better dubbs out there for sure. It doesn't really have a main story, Black Lagoon consists out of several smaller plots or contracts if you will, it reminds me of Cowboy Bebop at times, I kinda wish there was more to it (it would be nice if it all ended with a confrontation against Eda, seeing as she's a member of CIA and all), although each part is solid to say the least. The action's often over the top, that's really my only complaint.

Last anime I watched was probably Memories, made of 3 separate small films. Before that, I watched stuff like Akira, Princess Mononoke and a couple of other classic anime films.

Xanatos, that sounds pretty interesting. I'll probably watch it as well.

P.S.: Anyone watched Hellsing Ultimate OVA's? I only watched up to 6. Pretty good stuff.

I really dislike the artistic style in this anime. Interesting story though.

Yeah. I find a lot of anime art is hit or miss.
I was able to get past it with Berserk though.
I like the art styles of a lot of older anime. Not so much the newer stuff.

Wow, I'm surprised to see someone else is watching nearly all the same shows I am from the current season. I've got a few others picked up along the way like Robotics;Notes. But I found the first season of Jubei-chan, so I had to buy that since it was really cheap and an old series I meant to pick up, but never did so. I ran through the whole season and want to hunt down the second season, Anime Works apparently picked up the rights from Pioneer after they left the business. So hopefully they will re-release it as well.

The last one I watched completely was Darker Than Black. Which I really enjoyed, I'm hoping for a third season. Before that I watched Samurai 7, which I also really liked. I'm not sure what I will watch next.

Have quite a bit of catching up to do since my previous post was made "months ago" although I did go on hiatus from anime for awhile. Anyways, the last two I just finished up were ...

Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple: wasn't sure at first if I would like it but after two or three episodes I warmed up quite quickly to it. I found it thoroughly entertaining and humorous. Warning however, this is definitely Shounen so if you aren't accustomed to long battles, sometimes drawn out, sometimes not. Then this may not be for you, however the story is great and the characters are very likeable. Shinpaku alliance unite. 8.5/10

Samurai Champloo: being the first anime I watched that was set in some sort of feudal era, I thought I wasn't going to like it, but I was wrong. Pretty straightforward. Girl hires two unlikely fighters with a grudge against each other in hopes to find the Samurai "that smells like sunflowers" I won't give too much away without ruining the ending suffice to say it's a really great series worth checking out. 7.5/10

I just watched episode 1 of 'Kaze No Stigma'

Oh man, the visuals are so awesome! The dialog, the character introductions, the voice actors seem to fit, too... everything's really good.
But my brother, who always watches everything before I can, says to cherish these moments, because after the original manga author died he says everything went downhill with the anime!

Last animes I watched were Monster and Sword of the Stranger. For the record, I am really in love with the Monster series at this point. It's dark and thrilling... I really love mysteries. It lacks what a lot of animes have-- fruitiness. Thank gods for that.

As for Sword of the Stranger, you've got to see that movie if you love samurais. The fighting scenes in it are amazing, the art is just wonderful.

Currently watching Shingeki no kyojin, OMG if you aren't watching the sh*t then you're missing out big time, every single episode has been gripping, I just pumped out 10 episodes in one night.

Also found out that my EVA 3.33 has no English Subtitles. Pretty bummed.
