It's funny I just watched Cat Returns.

I subscribed to an Internet Video Rental service called "Intelliflix" so now I get to check more Anime out without needing to download it and watch on my small latop (not to mention I feel morally better about it ^.^) The first three films I got were Ghibli films.

Porco Rosso: Awesome, awesome film. I think I could safely say this has become one of my favorite Ghibli/Miyazaki films. Flying fighter planes have never been so cool.

Whisper of the Heart
was disappointing. I think it's actually intended more for girls because it involves a a young girl trying to find her place, growing up, and falling in love. I felt it was really slow and gives you a real WTF? ending that just seemed to come out of nowehere. I think I was expecting something whimsical in true Miyazaki fashion and was disappointed by it's more "BECK-like" realism.

The Cat Returns is a sort of followup to WotH which I found to be MUCH BETTER. Stellar cast , vivid visuals, and great humor. Now THAT'S the type of film I like seeing. Only problem? It's just too damn short. Whisper of the Heart was 2 hours and I feel like only the last hour of the movie was good, while Cat Returns is only half of that, a tiny bit over an hour. A real shame, but go see it anyway it's GOOD.

WHAT? There are OP movies? REALLY? I didn't know that. Can you get them at a video store like the Naruto movies?
Sadly no, none of them are released in the US as of yet. Funimation is going to release Movie 8 next year and eventually the other movies I'm sure afterward.

And that reminds me:

One Piece 315-318: A big plot twist that I was half spoiled on already, but the other half I wasn't and was quite surprised. And just like episode 151, 316 is a real "hardcore Pirate episode" whereas people who say OP isn't about "Real" pirates I would say watch THIS episode and tell me that again. Shanks and Whitebeard are godly. 317 and 318 are just fairly forgettable filler with a couple humorous bits.

Bleach (English dub): I have to say I'm warming up to Bleach a little more than my last post. The fight with Uryuu and the freaky scientist guy was cool, and I'd have this more than ever solidifies Uryuu being my favorite character thus far. Plus I was quite surprised with Yoruichi's real form. Made me go, "Why hello there..."

Desert Punk 1-4: I have to say right now I feel kinda iffy about this series. Some parts are great and some parts I ask myself "Why am I watching this?" Since I have Intelliflix now, I've put in a request to get the actual DVD. After seeing the bloopers, I really want to see the dub. I have a feeling I might enjoy it just a little more.
