How the hell do you make Cloud run in the PS3 FFVII?

It's already irritating me that I have to use the D-Pad and can't use the analog stick. But he keeps walking. How do I make him run? Thanks!

Just hold to run. I'm afraid you'll have to stick with D-Pad, if you're playing on PS3. Personally I prefer the Directional Pad

If you have a VITA you can assign keys to the analogue sticks... I'm not sure if you are able to do so on a ps3, although you just might be able too.

Yes, he was a 1st Class SOLDIER. You find that out in FFVII: Crisis Core at the end. When the game starts for the original FFVII he is an ex-SOLDIER(Meaning used to be). Now he is a member of AVALANCHE, a group of rebels who hate the Shinra Electric Power Company for everything they did.

Pretty sure Cloud just pretended to be a who he thought he was aka a 1st Class Soldier. My guess is with what happened with the experiments he thought he could fight like one and thus did. The human race is quite amazing, most of our video games prove that lol.
