Cornelia, city of dreams

Why is Cornelia called "the city of dreams" or the "dream city"? There's certainly nothing dreamy about it. It looks just like any other town in Final Fantasy?

It's simply called such because it is suposedly the most powerful nation in the world.

Isn't it funny that it is I quess "the most powerful nation in the world" and it sells the weakest stuff in the game.

Yes, yes, very true indeed. It is funny if you fight even Goblins without no equipment in the beginning they can destroy you; however when you just equip the Cloth or any other first armors and such the Impies Limpies fall easily to your might. I bet if the Lufenians still had control of the air they would be the most powerful nation, after all they invented the airship and had a Floating City and the entire village is filled with Wizards it looks like.

If I made a game, I'm going to name the smallest town "Town Name" "THE GREAT CITY"

And everyone is gonna be like. WHY IS IS CALLED THE GREAT CITY WHEN IT'S SO SMALL.

If you judge it from looking at the world map, I would certainly say it's the most powerful nation in the world. =)

This is naturally why I assumed it was named such. Altough nothing really extravagant happens here.

If you talk to one of the NPCs roaming around town, she says "Welcome to Cornelia, the city of dreams!"

Maybe it's called the 'City of Dreams' because it was the first town Hironobu Sakaguchi designed? Since this was supposed to be his 'final' game, i suppose it kind of fits.
